Chapter 90: “I don’t want to eat… I want you…”
Shen Zhuo’s voice was neither loud nor soft.
Because he was afraid something might happen to Shen Zhuo, Du Xun had left the study door cracked open a slit.
Consequently, he could hear Shen Zhuo’s voice clearly…
And so could everyone on the other side of the video conference.
The group fell into silence instantly.
After a moment, a voice finally came from the computer.
“Commander-in-Chief, do you need to go check on your… kid?”
The last word was spoken with a mix of shock and horror.
Du Xun immediately stood up and opened the door, meeting the boy’s onrushing smile.
“Du Xun…”
Shen Zhuo pointed to the bear on the floor: “Your Kid… dropped.”
Du Xun didn’t speak, staring straight at him.
This made the muddled omega start to panic.
He thought his alpha was angry.
He immediately started stammering and picking at his fingers, preparing to leave.
“I… I won’t make trouble, I’ll go back to the bedroom…”
As he spoke, he felt wronged, glancing at Du Xun with red-rimmed eyes.
But in the next second, the boy was scooped up directly.
He was seated on Du Xun’s arm.
“My kid is clearly right here.”
Du Xun chuckled softly, adjusting the omega in his arms as he strode back to the computer and turned off the camera.
“Continue. If there’s anything inappropriate, I will bring it up.”
Du Xun’s attitude toward the other end of the computer was icy, but the way he coaxed the little omega sitting on him in the next sentence was completely different.
“Are you happier now?”
Shen Zhuo smiled and kissed Du Xun on the lips.
Although Du Xun’s coaxing voice was very quiet, that tone, dripping with honey, gave the military officers on the other end goosebumps.
They had never seen Commander Du like this!
Although there was no visual, they could record the audio!
“No recording allowed.”
Du Xun seemed to be able to read the officers’ minds.
His tone grew a few degrees colder when addressing them.
The officers who had just taken out their phones to record: …
Officers: Fine, double standards. We can’t afford to offend him.
Staying in Du Xun’s arms was indeed much better than being alone outside the door.
Shen Zhuo straddled Du Xun, resting his head on his shoulder.
Turning his face slightly, he could see Du Xun’s gland.
It was releasing soothing rosemary pheromones.
It smelled good, making him feel comfortable and unable to resist sinking into it.
The color of an alpha’s gland was similar to their skin tone, unlike the tender pink of an omega’s.
But just the same, it was the most vulnerable part of the body.
Shen Zhuo’s fingertips idly stroked the edge of that gland.
Circling, tracing.
The warmth and softness of his fingertips fell like a feather, creating a light, ticklish sensation.
Listening to the people in the computer talking one after another, Shen Zhuo grew a bit impatient.
But he seemed to understand the importance of this meeting.
So he truly stayed obediently in Du Xun’s arms without speaking.
Until ten minutes had passed.
Shen Zhuo stared at the back of Du Xun’s neck.
He felt he had been waiting for a long time.
A long, long time…
Why wasn’t his alpha done yet?
“To ensure the rear retreat route, the strategy we decided to use is…”
“Hiss!”
The officer making the report heard that “Hiss.”
It nearly scared the soul out of him.
“Commander… Commander-in-Chief…?” The man swallowed nervously. “Do you have any guidance?”
There was no visual on the computer, and the man waited for a long time without receiving a reply.
Unbeknownst to him, in the study, Du Xun was pinching the boy’s bottom.
“Wifey.”
This little kid had just taken a bite of his gland while he wasn’t paying attention.
An alpha’s gland isn’t naturally meant for marking.
Therefore, there was only pain, no pleasure.
That bite made Du Xun’s face pale a few shades.
Shen Zhuo blinked, then sat up and kissed the alpha’s cheek again.
As if trying to curry favor.
He muttered, “You’ve marked me so many times, can’t I mark you just once?”
Du Xun really had no way to reason with an omega in heat, so he could only whisper pitifully:
“It hurts.”
At these words, Shen Zhuo’s eyes went wide.
He hurried to purse his lips and blow on it.
“Is it better now?”
How could Du Xun bear to tease him any longer? He quickly leaned in and nuzzled the boy’s cheek:
“Better, I’m better.”
Shen Zhuo didn’t believe him; he blew on it a few more times before pressing his lips against it:
“I won’t bite anymore, I’ll kiss you.”
The gland was, after all, the most sensitive part of the body.
Du Xun shuddered all over and gripped the boy’s waist.
“Wifey.”
The word was bitten out heavily, squeezed from between his teeth.
Shen Zhuo looked up blankly.
He was kissed forcefully on the lips.
“Be good for now,” Du Xun said softly. “I’ll let you do whatever you want later, okay?”
Shen Zhuo didn’t understand.
And he didn’t want to understand.
He only knew his alpha hadn’t paid attention to him for a long time.
He had clearly been good enough…
Does Du Xun not like him anymore?
That’s why he sat on the alpha for so long without any response.
A little omega in heat always thinks wild thoughts without any basis.
Even though a sober Shen Zhuo would know these thoughts were ridiculous.
But right now.
Shen Zhuo didn’t realize it at all.
He felt that the more he thought about it, the more correct he was.
Du Xun saw him quiet down and thought he had listened.
So he continued the meeting.
But a few minutes later, the boy suddenly pushed Du Xun away and ran out of the study barefoot.
Du Xun’s side happened to be wrapping up.
He hastily said “Let’s end here,” then immediately closed the laptop and chased after him.
He saw the omega sitting on the bed, hugging a little bear, leaning against a rabbit.
Seeing the man enter, he just glanced at him.
Then he lowered his head again, seeming to talk to the little bear.
The soothing pheromones in the air grew heavier. Du Xun stood at the door first.
Seeing that the boy didn’t resist his approach, he walked step by step toward the bed.
“Wifey, what are you saying to the little bear? Can I listen?”
Shen Zhuo didn’t even look at him.
“His name is Kid.”
His voice was icy cold; he was probably angry.
Du Xun knew it was his fault for working too long and not accompanying the little one properly.
At a time like this, any reason he gave would be an excuse.
So Du Xun sat by the bed, smoothed the little bear’s fur, and spoke gently but seriously:
“Do you have a complaint against Du Xun? Tell me, I’ll help you teach him a lesson.”
Shen Zhuo finally glanced at Du Xun, his eyes wet.
The man immediately explained: “I am baby’s exclusive tree hole; you can tell me anything, I won’t tell anyone else.”
Shen Zhuo buried his head and gave a soft humph.
“Du Xun doesn’t like me anymore.”
Du Xun raised his eyebrows and drew in a sharp breath.
He recalled his own susceptibility period; it seemed he had also been “unreasonable” like this.
But his wife had always been confident in his love.
What made his baby feel this way?
It seemed he had indeed done poorly today.
While reflecting, Du Xun still wanted to know the specific reason.
“Why do you say that?” the alpha coaxed gently.
Shen Zhuo buried most of his face in the bear’s fur, revealing only a pair of red eyes. He didn’t look at the person, his eyelashes trembling a few times.
Aggrieved to the extreme.
“He ignores me, doesn’t kiss me, and doesn’t * me.”
“He doesn’t like me anymore.”
Du Xun: “…”
The not *ing part was probably the main point.
“How could I not like you?” Du Xun knelt on the bed with his other leg as well.
Now, both his knees were kneeling on the bed.
Apologizing with utmost sincerity.
“Shall I apologize to you on Du Xun’s behalf?”
Du Xun wanted to touch the boy’s face.
But Shen Zhuo bit the hand that reached out.
With kitten-like force, not even leaving a mark.
“Hmph.” Shen Zhuo turned his head away.
“Not listening.”
Du Xun said sincerely: “Wifey, Mr. Tree Hole has told me, it’s my fault.”
The man’s movements became a bit more forceful, pressing the boy directly onto the bed.
“How could I not like you, how could I not want to pay attention to you, kiss you, hug you, * you…”
With every word Du Xun said, he gently licked and sucked a spot on the boy’s exposed skin.
“I want to very much, Wifey.”
It made the omega tremble lightly, his waist instantly going soft.
“Are you still mad at me?”
“…Mad… ah…”
“Really still mad?”
“Mmh… mad…”
“Can’t a kiss make the anger go away?”
“Mm… can’t kiss there…”
“Then what about this, still mad?”
“Woo… not mad anymore, not mad anymore… be gentle…”
…
After messing around all morning, the boy finally quieted down a lot.
While Du Xun went to cook, he sat obediently at the kitchen door hugging the little bear.
An and the other butlers had been arranged not to stay at the house for these three days.
So there was no one in the manor.
Du Xun was still worried; he would look back eight hundred times while chopping vegetables.
Fortunately, the boy had just been fed and was still sleepy, wearing a sleeping robe and leaning against the chair.
Not noisy or fussy, obedient as can be.
But after two dishes were made, the boy started to get impatient waiting.
He wanted to cling to Du Xun, coming up to hug the man’s waist.
But Du Xun was afraid the oil would splatter on Shen Zhuo.
He half-coaxed and half-tricked Shen Zhuo into sitting back on the chair.
But afterward, every time Du Xun finished a dish.
He had to squat down in front of the boy wearing his apron, to kiss or hug and soothe him.
Cooking a meal that might have taken an hour.
Dragging it out like this while coaxing his wife took two hours to finish.
After placing the dishes on the table, a warm and soft little pendant immediately hung onto Du Xun’s body.
“Du Xun…”
“I don’t want to eat.”
The omega tugged at the man’s collar, leaning in to nuzzle against his neck.
Then he untied the belt, held the man’s hand, and guided it inside the open lapel of his sleeping robe.
“I want…”
The omega’s eyes were blurred, breathing like orchids, cheeks flushed and hot, incredibly alluring.
Du Xun’s palm was scorching hot; he helplessly tucked the boy’s hair behind his head:
“You haven’t eaten anything this morning; if you don’t eat lunch, you’ll starve.”
Shen Zhuo lowered his eyes, lifting his hand to circle Du Xun’s chest.
“Who says I haven’t.”
The palm of his other hand stroked his lower abdomen.
“Isn’t this… bulging a little bit.”
“Look, feel it, isn’t it?”
Du Xun’s breath hitched.
His omega was really…
Overwhelming.
But food had to be eaten.
“Eat a bite, finish eating and then we’ll start, okay?”
Shen Zhuo narrowed his eyes unhappily, reluctantly opening his mouth to eat the food Du Xun fed him.
The omega suddenly remembered something, his cheeks bulging as he mumbled indistinctly: “Promised before, to go to the sunroom.”
“The things you prepared for me, haven’t used them yet.”
“This time we can use them all…”
