THE TOP STAR’S SECRET LOVE CONFESSION CHAPTER 1

Chapter 1: The Top Idol Star Arrives

The evening campus, with its weeping willows swaying gently in the cool breeze, should have been a tranquil scene, but today it was unusually bustling, the air itself crackling with excitement.
“I heard Bo Yan arrived!”
“Someone posted pictures in the group! Ahhh, as expected of my male god, his looks are ridiculously amazing!”
“Quick, let’s go! Grab a good spot.”
The asphalt road was seething, packed with excited students. Dorm 605 was also caught up in the excitement. Zhang Cheng, the eldest, shouted amidst the noise, “Bai Qi, come quickly! The party’s about to start!”
Hearing the name, many people turned around.
In the bustling crowd behind, one strikingly beautiful face stood out—like a lustrous, creamy white pearl, both pure and alluring. All the light seemed to gather on him, and even those around him hesitated to push past him.
“You guys go ahead, I’ll go back to the dorm.”
A soft, sweet voice, unknowingly seductive, reached Zhang Cheng’s ears.
Zhang Cheng looked at him in disbelief, “This is a top idol star! It’s rare for him to return to school; even your boyfriend went.”
Bai Qi still shook his head, turning to walk against the flow of people. The noise gradually faded, leaving only the sound of his phone’s message notifications.
Bai Qi opened WeChat and played a voice message from his boyfriend, Lin Feng. The gentle voice, like a murmuring stream, was calm and steady, very reassuring.
“Tonight, it’s good to have Xiao Qi helping me. Is there anything you want to eat? I’ll bring it back after.”
Bai Qi’s face rarely showed such gentleness. He typed a reply, “No need, have fun out there.”
Putting down his phone, the dappled light from the street lamps fell on him. His milky skin had a pretty blush, like slightly melted candy.
Bai Qi most appreciated Lin Feng’s emotional stability and always gentle and polite demeanor. They never argued or bickered, respected each other’s wishes, never intruding, living a peaceful and respectful life together.
This was the kind of relationship he had longed for since he was young, and he had successfully achieved it.
Back in the dorm, he drank some water and opened his computer to help Lin Feng with his internship forms.
Lin Feng was always diligent in his studies. Today, he rarely wanted to join the excitement of seeing the big star, and asked Bai Qi for help—he certainly wouldn’t refuse.
While organizing the materials, a netizen named “Bo Shen’s Secretly Married Girlfriend” suddenly contacted him: “Master!!! Are you available to take an urgent order?”
Bai Qi paused, remembering that Lin Feng’s things needed to be submitted before 7 pm, so he took the order.
The other party immediately sent a photo. The background was a frenzied, lively crowd. In the center stood a man with a detached and cool temperament, half his face hidden in ink-like shadows. He had a high nose, thin lips, and pale skin—exceedingly handsome.
It was actually an order from a Bo Yan fan.
Bai Qi didn’t expect such a coincidence. It seemed the party had already begun.
As a fairly well-known photo retoucher in the industry, he carefully observed the composition and the person, considering the specific editing style.
However, as he looked, Bai Qi froze.
In the shadows beside Bo Yan, a rather inconspicuous boy stood.
The boy wore gold-rimmed glasses and was pouring a drink for Bo Yan, his back bent low, but his eyes fixed intently on Bo Yan’s Adam’s apple, with a look of unprecedented infatuation, a slight smile playing on his lips.
The boy’s demeanor in the photo was very much like a fervent fan; however, that face… was clearly Lin Feng.
Bai Qi almost thought he’d mistaken someone.
This was the first time he had seen Lin Feng like this. Lin Feng had excellent family upbringing, superior conditions, and even a bit of arrogance in his bones. He wouldn’t have such a submissive posture, even when pouring a drink.
Maybe it was just a bad shot?
He looked a little more, his hands expertly opening the software to start work. Making money was the most important thing; even if he was a little puzzled, it wouldn’t affect the quality of the order.
With the rapid movement of the mouse, the faces in the crowd gradually blurred, especially Lin Feng, who was completely softened into a shadow.
The simple light and shadow gradually became atmospheric, the thick night unusually dangerous, yet the person’s face hardly moved at all, his inherently cold features like a god fallen to earth.
A few minutes later, he finished editing and sent it to the client.
Bo Shen’s Secretly Married Girlfriend: “Ahhhh, amazing picture!!! Thank you, Qi Da! It’s a blessing for the entertainment industry to have you!”
Seeing the client’s satisfaction, Bai Qi breathed a sigh of relief, only taking half the price.
Bo Yan’s face barely needed any editing; mainly just light and shadow filters. It was quick and easy, and every time he felt embarrassed to only charge half price, so much so that many people secretly said he was a Bo Yan fan.
In fact, Bai Qi was not, and even had an instinctive aversion to Bo Yan, who seemed a bit fierce and cold.
The transaction was completed, and with the pleasant sound of money pouring into his account, Bai Qi should have been in a good mood, but he couldn’t quite shake off a certain unease.
He reopened the original photo and looked at it again and again, pursing his lips, finally unable to resist asking, “Excuse me, did you take this picture?”
Bo Shen’s Secretly Married Girlfriend: “Wuwuwu, I wish I had! Unfortunately, only Jiang University students were allowed in. I’m so envious of them, especially the cute guy who poured Bo Yan a drink!”
“That cute guy said in the group before that he would find a chance to spend time alone with Bo Yan, and he really did it!”
Bai Qi was surprised. Lin Feng wanted to find a chance to be alone with Bo Yan?
Lin Feng never chased stars, and Bo Yan was two years their senior. He hadn’t heard that the two knew each other.
He couldn’t help but circle Lin Feng in the picture and sent it: “Is this the guy? Is he also a Bo Yan fan?”
Bo Shen’s Secretly Married Girlfriend: “Yes, this boy is in the same WeChat fan group as us. He said before that he was Bo Yan’s junior, and has had a crush on him for a long time. He wanted to confess his feelings during this meeting.”
“It’s really so romantic! Knowing it’s impossible, he’s still willing to break the shackles and bravely confess. Love is truly beautiful!”
Bai Qi was stunned.
He stared at these few lines in disbelief for a long time, his eyelashes trembling slightly, his face full of doubt, sending a question mark.
Perhaps because she knew Bai Qi probably didn’t know the guy, or perhaps she had already suspected that Bai Qi was a Bo Yan fan, Bo Shen’s Secretly Married Girlfriend’s attention to Bai Qi seemed quite excited, immediately sending him a screenshot.
In the screenshot, a person with a maple leaf as their WeChat profile picture said in the group: “I saw Bo Yan with my own eyes! Damn, he’s even more handsome in real life than in photos! He’s just radiating hormones! High nose, broad shoulders, narrow waist—you can tell he’s capable at a glance!”
“Seriously, many people almost fainted, he’s too handsome!”
“So nervous, I’m going to confess soon!”
Below were various words of envy and encouragement. Everyone thought it was a very romantic thing.
Bai Qi stared blankly at the familiar maple leaf in the profile picture, his face rapidly draining of color.
It really was Lin Feng…
This maple leaf was one that had fallen on Bai Qi’s head before, and later picked up by Lin Feng to use as his profile picture. A corner was missing; he wouldn’t mistake it.
If someone else had the courage to confess to the idol they had a crush on, Bai Qi would sincerely bless them. He could even help them brainstorm, but the person in question was his boyfriend.
Such an absurd thing had actually happened. Bai Qi closed his eyes. Things he had never doubted before swirled in his mind. He suddenly realized that Lin Feng had been very strange today.
Lin Feng never chased stars but was willing to squeeze in with so many people to see Bo Yan. He also gave up work he always valued and exceptionally asked him to help with the forms. He even inexplicably ended up next to Bo Yan, bowing down to pour him a drink.
If Lin Feng liked Bo Yan, then all the oddities made sense.
But Bai Qi still couldn’t understand. If Lin Feng really liked Bo Yan, why did he date him, and why did he have to use such a humiliating method of cheating?
A surge of unrest rose in his heart. He couldn’t help but call Lin Feng. The phone kept ringing, but no one answered.
Lin Feng always replied instantly and never ignored his calls. Bai Qi’s mind was in a mess. He got up and went out.
He wanted to see for himself what was going on.
At this time, there were already few people on the campus road. Bai Qi kept looking down at his phone, still not receiving any reply from Lin Feng, and went to ask Zhang Cheng.
Zhang Cheng replied instantly: “Lin Feng, that kid is lucky! He accidentally spilled a drink on Bo Yan just now. Now they’re going to the restroom to change clothes, making the fans around them envious.”
Bai Qi took a deep breath.
The evening wind made it a little hard for him to breathe. He walked faster and faster, soon reaching the party location.
It was a barbecue restaurant near the school, with three floors that had been rented out for the day, surrounded by many fans and paparazzi.
Bai Qi bypassed the crowd and hurried inside. As soon as he pushed open the door, the boiling sound of the crowd stung his eardrums; everywhere was full of students.
There were too many people. He looked around in confusion, not seeing Bo Yan, nor Lin Feng.
Were they still in the restroom?
At this moment, the noisy crowd seemed to engulf him, and the feeling of being abandoned suddenly made Bai Qi feel a little helpless. He stood there blankly, his skin pale and almost translucent.
Even so, his exquisite and beautiful features stood out in the crowd. Many people looked over, and several acquaintances came over to greet him with surprise.
Bai Qi came back to his senses and quickly asked them, “Excuse me, where’s the restroom?”
They looked knowing, “Oh, oh, you’re looking for Lin Feng, right? It’s at the end of the corridor on the left, you should be able to go straight in as his boyfriend.”
“Thank you.”
Bai Qi pursed his lips and looked at the empty corridor. He had never imagined that he would one day truly doubt Lin Feng, or even come to catch him.
Two years of dating, even if it was as bland as water, Lin Feng had already become a part of his life, like a confidant or family member.
Lin Feng clearly knew how much he hated betrayal.
Bai Qi’s heart felt heavy. He subconsciously walked towards the corridor.
He would only take one look. If he was wrong, he would sincerely apologize to Lin Feng, and never suspect him again.
Stepping onto the carpeted corridor, the noise from behind gradually faded. Bai Qi’s footsteps made no sound on the soft carpet.
His heart was pounding. He quickened his pace, walking to the innermost door.
A very beautiful face was faintly reflected on the smooth door, under the dim light: dark hair, red lips, snow-white skin—like a rose in bud in the snow, inherently youthful and seductive.
Bai Qi, however, was completely oblivious to this beauty, nervously preparing to knock when the door suddenly opened from inside, and a tall man stood against the light in front of him.
The light was bright, yet he seemed to be enveloped in an unmeltable chill. Thin lips, high nose, cold white skin, his black jacket was held up by his broad shoulders. His eyes were sharp, like a hawk about to hunt.
Even though Bai Qi was mentally prepared, he was still startled. The impact of seeing Bo Yan in person was far greater than in photos; that overwhelming feeling was something no photo could capture.
The air fell silent for a moment.
Bo Yan seemed surprised to see someone at the door, pausing, staring at Bai Qi for a few seconds.
It was Bai Qi who recovered first, realizing that he had rushed over and offended him, immediately apologizing.
“I’m sorry.”
“Fan?”
They both spoke almost simultaneously. Bo Yan’s low, cold voice overpowered Bai Qi’s soft voice, making people’s ears tingle, even more magnetic than on television.
Bai Qi was stunned, then saw Bo Yan take a pen from his pocket, his long, narrow black eyes looking down at him.
Was he going to give him an autograph?
Bai Qi wasn’t comfortable saying he wasn’t a fan, subconsciously rummaging in his pockets for a piece of paper, but he hadn’t brought anything since he came in such a hurry.
His face flushed, even the top of his head felt hot.
Just as he was helplessly fumbling around, he saw Bo Yan take out his own phone, personally removing the pure white phone case, and signing on it swiftly.
His pale, long fingers were even cooler and more moist than the white phone case. The blue veins on the back of his hand curved into a beautiful arc. They were very close, and Bo Yan’s cold fragrance was memorable, like the snow rustling on pine trees, aloof yet reassuring.
Bai Qi’s red lips parted, surprised, looking up at him.
Was Bo Yan signing his phone case and giving it to him?
His heart warmed slightly. Bo Yan was different from what was rumored; he didn’t seem that cold.
Looking down again, Bai Qi found that he hadn’t signed his artistic signature, but had written the two characters “Bo Yan” earnestly, with a strong and powerful stroke, the handwriting neat and decisive.
“Thank you very much,” Bai Qi thanked sincerely, having a good impression of him.
No wonder he was so popular.
Taking the phone case, their warm fingertips touched, separating instantly.
The surrounding temperature seemed to rise a little.
After Bo Yan retracted his hand, his long fingers curled slightly, gently clenching his palm. He was about to speak when a sudden, hurried footstep sounded from behind.
Someone rushed out from the inner room, their voice trembling as they questioned, “Why?! Just because I have a boyfriend?”
A familiar voice made Bai Qi’s body stiffen.
Bo Yan didn’t turn around, but instead suddenly looked down at Bai Qi, his tall and upright figure just blocking him.
