THE TOP STAR’S SECRET LOVE CONFESSION CHAPTER 33

Chapter 33: The Lake Surface

The cream landed on skin as pale as mutton fat jade; for a moment, it was impossible to tell which was whiter.

The crisp air was suddenly tinged with an unusually sweet, cloying scent. The small boat rocked gently, and that flash of white was dazzling enough to make one lose focus.

Then, his vision darkened.

Bai Qi instinctively sensed something was wrong. He subconsciously reached out to cover his belly, but the moment his fingertips touched the cream, the back of his hand was kissed by soft, searing lips.

Bo Yan stood up. His tall, upright figure blocked out the sky, the oppressive sense of his broad shoulders making it difficult to breathe.

Bai Qi’s heart rate spiked instantly.

He still couldn’t adapt to such aggression. He instinctively shrank back, wanting to escape, but the moment he moved, the boat swayed. On the open lake, there was simply nowhere to run.

Bai Qi closed his eyes in nervousness, a sliver of fear spilling uncontrollably from the bottom of his heart.

He braced himself to endure the fear, trying his best to relax his body, but the world suddenly spun. Bo Yan had steadily flipped him over.

Bai Qi propped his slender arms against the bow of the boat, dazed and unsure of what was happening. Soon, his belly felt an itch.

A furry head burrowed into the space between his body and the boat, the bridge of a nose pressing hotly against his clothes.

Bai Qi looked down, and his face instantly flushed red.

He didn’t know when Bo Yan had taken off his shirt. The man’s gleaming white, lean torso lay right beside him. Under the sunlight, his muscle lines were near-perfect—long, beautiful, and undulating like a crystal-clear mountain range.

There was still some cream on Bo Yan’s lips. He looked up at Bai Qi from below, his gaze scorching and dangerous.

Perhaps it was because his posture was so low right now, but instead of being scary, it gave off an indescribable feeling.

It was as if… Bo Yan was lying beneath him, submitting to his every whim.

This realization made Bai Qi’s gaze tremble. Immediately after, he heard Bo Yan’s husky voice: “Help me eat it clean too, okay?”

After speaking, Bo Yan closed his eyes. His lips were beautifully shaped, the corners sharp but the flesh soft. The tiny bit of cream stained on them looked delicious, and his bare upper body in Bai Qi’s peripheral vision was too embarrassing to look at directly.

Bai Qi was so shy his entire body turned pink. He grabbed a gummy candy in a panic and touched it to Bo Yan’s lips, pretending it was his own mouth, wanting to wipe the cream away for him.

But the bright red gummy had barely made contact when Bo Yan’s tongue swept it away. Then, a large hand with well-defined knuckles pressed against the back of Bai Qi’s head, returning the sweet to him.

His lips and teeth were pried open, and Bo Yan planted a raspberry-flavored deep kiss on him.

Bai Qi’s face felt like it was going to explode.

His arms could no longer support him, and his body collapsed softly downward, only to be caught and pulled into Bo Yan’s embrace.

It was no longer a suffocating kiss; it shifted from heavy to light, gentle pecks slowly sharing the gummy candy until Bai Qi’s consciousness returned, leaving him lucidly feeling every detail of the contact.

Gradually, Bo Yan lowered his hands and lay back, relaxed. Bai Qi’s slender body lay prone on top of him. In a trance, he had the illusion that he was the one forcing the kiss.

This thought made Bai Qi subconsciously nuzzle against him. Bo Yan let out a soft groan, his voice sounding suppressed and hoarse.

Bai Qi couldn’t quite describe the feeling in his heart right now… but it seemed pretty good.

His heart beat faster and faster.

The body temperature of both men climbed frantically, and the atmosphere on the boat became incredibly enchanting.

The small boat rocked more and more violently. Two large hands had unknowingly grasped Bai Qi’s waist, pushing aside the hem of his clothes and sliding upward. The blue veins on the back of Bo Yan’s hands bulged, creating a fierce visual contrast against the waist that was so tender it looked like it could be pinched into water.

Bai Qi’s slender waist trembled violently. He was instantly startled awake, snapping out of the overwhelming sensation.

He realized things were going too far and wanted to stop, but Bo Yan was still kissing him, lost in the moment, his strength too great to break free from.

Just then, a lifesaving ringtone rang out.

Bo Yan paused, a heavy shadow casting over his eyes.

Bai Qi let out a breath of relief and scrambled for the phone as if fleeing for his life. His cousin’s excited voice came through quickly: “I heard you’re on a variety show!”

Bai Qi tried hard to steady his messy breathing, attempting not to let his cousin hear anything strange, but when he opened his mouth, he was still panting slightly: “Mm.”

At least it was over. With his cousin on the line, Bo Yan wouldn’t dare do anything reckless.

Bai Qi struggled to prop himself up, wanting to use the opportunity to sit up properly and let Bo Yan cool down. But a second later, a long, slender hand covered the microphone from below, and sharp canine teeth grazed his soft flesh.

“Hss.”

Caught off guard, Bai Qi sucked in a cold breath. The sensation was so ticklish he went numb and wanted to curl up, but he was pinned to the bow of the boat and devoured ruthlessly.

His beautiful face was pressed against the side of the boat like a painting. His phone had fallen somewhere, and the call had been hung up by the large hand.

Bai Qi thought the call was still connected and used all his strength to cover his mouth, terrified of making a sound. But Bo Yan only bullied him further.

Bai Qi trembled ceaselessly, unable to muster any more resistance. He lay on the bow, the water reflecting the terrifying, crazed shadow beneath his slender body.

Perhaps because he was suppressing his voice, the sweet, whimpering sounds he couldn’t hold back became even more uncontrollable.

In a daze, Bai Qi’s consciousness blurred. Half-lidded eyes surrendered to the sensation, his voice changing pitch. In the end, even his trousers were tugged away from behind…

He didn’t know how long the unbearable torment lasted before Bai Qi was finally cleaned up, leaning weakly into Bo Yan’s arms.

Bo Yan leaned against the stern, holding his fragrant, soft wife in his arms. His narrow phoenix eyes were unusually gentle, enjoying the warmth with near-obsessive fascination.

A moment later, the phone rang again.

Bo Yan’s expression instantly turned cold. He picked up the phone, answered it for Bai Qi, and held it to his ear.

The cold, hard knuckles pressed against his hot ear cartilage. The action made Bai Qi involuntarily recall what had just happened.

He felt uncomfortable. Bo Yan had gone too far earlier; in the end, he hadn’t been able to hold back his voice at all. He didn’t know how much his cousin had heard.

His thoughts were a mess as he stammered a lie: “S-sorry, I fell down while on the phone earlier.”

Fortunately, his cousin didn’t seem to have heard anything. His tone carried unconcealed urgency: “Since you’re on a variety show and so popular now, do you have money?”

“I do,” Bai Qi pursed his lips. “Please rest assured, I can pay you back within the next two days.”

Bai Sheng coughed, his tone softening: “Ahem, I’m not trying to force you to pay the debt, it’s just that I’m a bit short on cash right now… Of course, it would be best if you could pay the interest too.”

“I understand.” Bai Qi was already grateful that his cousin’s family had lent him the money; he had wanted to pay it back for a long time.

After hanging up, he felt a bit anxious and couldn’t help asking Bo Yan, “Can we go persuade my mother now?”

The money was still with his mother. If he asked for it without persuading her first, she would definitely be worried.

Bo Yan naturally agreed.

The small boat soon drifted to the shore. For some reason, a small wooden cabin had been built by the lake. It looked simple on the outside but contained a luxurious bathroom inside, even stocked with clothes in both their sizes.

Bai Qi hadn’t understood why it was there when they passed by earlier, thinking it was a bit useless. Now that the bathroom was coming in handy, he instantly understood Bo Yan’s intentions…

Fortunately, since they had serious business to attend to, Bo Yan didn’t try anything else.

They quickly showered and changed, then got in the car to head to Bai Qi’s home.

On the way, Bai Qi couldn’t suppress his nervousness, constantly thinking about how to persuade his mother.

To be honest, Bo Yan wasn’t just the type he used to fear the most; he was also the type his mother feared the most.

Rich, cold personality, handsome, looked like a heartless playboy—he was very similar to Bai Qi’s father back in the day.

His mother had taught him from a young age that people like this had hard hearts and ruthless methods, and he must never get close to them. She considered herself lucky to have escaped with “just” shedding a layer of skin and owing hundreds of thousands in debt; her best friend, Auntie Jiang, had even lost her life.

Bai Qi agreed deeply with this, so he understood how much his mother would object.

Plus, he and Bo Yan had only known each other for a few days before trying to date. Now they were practically living together, and he was even inviting his mother to move house. No matter how you looked at it, it seemed like he was repeating the same mistakes.

Bai Qi’s heart beat a little fast. He didn’t know how to convince her.

Truthfully, he and Bo Yan were only trying dating for a month. They were mismatched in every way. Before, he had even thought about how to make Bo Yan give up so they could go back to being friends.

If his mother firmly objected now, it would be the perfect excuse. He should be happy.

But Bai Qi couldn’t bring himself to feel happy. His expression became unconsciously tense.

After thinking about it, he sent a message to his mother in advance saying he was coming home, and that Bo Yan would be there too.

There was silence on the other end for a long time. Even the text reply exuded coldness: “Fine. Talk less when you get here.”

Bai Qi was worried sick.

He suddenly realized that even if he asked his mother to move just for a few days of vacation, she might not agree.

He couldn’t help but look at Bo Yan. Bo Yan’s eyes were lowered, deep in thought, his emotions unreadable.

“Um, uh,” Bai Qi considered his words and reminded him softly, “My mother’s attitude might be a little bad later.”

“It’s okay.”

Bo Yan looked up, his demeanor steady and reassuring. “I will convince Mother.”

But how could Bai Qi be reassured?

Thinking that Bo Yan hadn’t realized the severity of the problem, he was just about to tell him some things about his family to prepare him mentally when Bo Yan suddenly turned and kissed him.

The car window was still open, and there were pedestrians outside. Bai Qi’s eyes went wide, and he flusteredly tried to push him away.

But Bo Yan held him tighter, kissing him from his forehead to the tip of his nose, then to his cheeks, skipping only the lips that were most likely to ignite a fire.

Their breaths mingled, and even their heartbeats seemed to sync up.

Being kissed so gently, Bai Qi relaxed unconsciously, looking up at him in confusion.

Bo Yan’s voice was a little husky. “Qi Qi, actually, I want Mother to approve of us even more than you do. Don’t be nervous. Trust me this once.”

He smiled, released his clenched fist, and coughed lightly against his fist.

“Don’t worry. It’s enough for me to be nervous for both of us.”
