Bai Qi was stunned by the sudden question, followed by hurt feelings: “What kept? I wasn’t!”
“You’ve learned to lie!”
Bai Sheng glanced at Bai Qi’s obviously bathrobe-like attire, then at his flushed face and noticeably reddened wrist, his head swimming with anger.
Bai Qi had always been solitary since childhood, never letting anyone touch him, never staying at friends’ houses, yet he was here. Did he even know how abnormal this situation was?!
His voice rose sharply: “This is a private villa built by a rich person! It’s not open to the public; it’s private property. How did you, a college student, get in here?”
Bai Qi froze. Wasn’t it a guesthouse?
Fearing negative consequences, he couldn’t explain that he was rehearsing with Bo Yan. He quickly explained: “It’s my roommate’s house. I’m here for the weekend.”
Bai Sheng got even angrier: “What? Don’t lie! When I came to deliver food, they said it was for a couple! They said the owner is over fifty!”
Bai Qi was exasperated; the staff downstairs probably guessed wrongly seeing the roses.
He was clumsy with words, explaining anxiously: “You must have made a mistake. My roommate is a single straight man; he doesn’t like men.”
Bai Sheng didn’t believe him at all. He didn’t even dare say he almost saw a kiss mark. He forcefully pulled Bai Qi to leave.
“I think you’ve been tricked. Let’s go before anyone else finds out! Don’t ruin yourself with that disgusting old man.”
Imagining the most beautiful boy of the Bai family with an old, fat man, Bai Sheng couldn’t imagine the scene; he even stumbled.
However, as soon as he spoke, he suddenly stopped.
A handsome man in a bathrobe came out of the house, his demeanor extremely cold and sharp, suppressing the roses in the courtyard, like a sharp sword, making people feel suffocated.
Bo Yan frowned at Bai Qi’s grabbed wrist, his face very grim.
If he wasn’t Bai Qi’s cousin, he would have already charged forward.
“Let go.”
Bai Sheng instinctively released his grip.
He looked at Bai Qi, then at Bo Yan, and suddenly turned to leave.
Bai Qi was extremely surprised. Did he recognize Bo Yan?
He quickly chased after him: “Don’t go spreading rumors; he’s my roommate.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t.” Bai Sheng seemed to have suddenly calmed down, a smile on his face, even winking at Bai Qi. “Did he hit you or scold you?”
“Why would he hit me?” Bai Qi was bewildered.
Bai Sheng was completely relieved, patting Bai Qi on the shoulder: “It seems I was wrong. You should have said he was so young and handsome. It’s not a bad deal, date him well.”
Then, as if afraid of disturbing something, he turned and ran.
Rich people’s gazes are really intimidating.
Bai Qi returned in dejection.
He helplessly sent Bai Sheng a bunch of messages explaining; in the end, he only got a single “Okay,” unsure if he believed him.
“I’m sorry, my cousin may have misunderstood you. I’ll talk to him properly when I go home tomorrow.”
Bai Qi scratched his head, his hair becoming messy, his expression worriedly furrowed.
It was fine with others, but Bo Yan was a star; such a misunderstanding would greatly affect his image. And his cousin was stubborn; it was difficult to change his mind once he had made up his mind.
Bai Qi usually had few expressions; even his smile was faint, keeping things to himself. His expression rarely became this animated.
Bo Yan lowered his head, staring at Bai Qi’s pouting mouth, his tone relaxed: “What did he misunderstand?”
Bai Qi was actually embarrassed to say those words.
But he couldn’t lie about such things. Under Bo Yan’s direct gaze, he pursed his lips, not daring to look up, his voice extremely soft.
“He…he said you’re keeping me.”
Silence fell for a moment.
Bo Yan’s slender eyes narrowed slightly; he softly asked: “Do you mind?”
Bai Qi didn’t expect Bo Yan to ask about his feelings first. After thinking, he shook his head: “I don’t mind, it’s mainly because it’s troubling you.”
Bo Yan raised an eyebrow.
He seemed in a good mood, his voice laced with amusement: “I don’t mind either; as long as you don’t mind.”
Bai Qi breathed a sigh of relief.
That’s right, Bai Sheng shouldn’t spread rumors; he had no evidence. And Bo Yan could even hang up on that gossip blogger, so he probably didn’t care about such things.
Thinking this, he finally relaxed and went inside with Bo Yan to eat.
Bo Yan didn’t let him help; instead, he personally arranged the food from the cart.
Stewed beef with potatoes, braised pork ribs, stir-fried oil spinach, braised bone marrow, minced meat vermicelli, and coconut milk as a drink.
A whole table of Bai Qi’s favorite dishes, every single one.
“We have similar tastes. These are all my favorites, even the drink,” Bai Qi opened his mouth, finally unable to help saying it.
Bo Yan’s long fingers gently arranged Bai Qi’s tableware, his voice faint: “Coincidence.”
Though he said coincidence, his tone was not at all surprised.
“Thank you,” Bai Qi quickly picked up his chopsticks, feeling embarrassed.
It was already bad enough that he had been eating and staying with Bo Yan these past couple of days, but now Bo Yan was even doing the work himself.
Thinking that Bo Yan was a neat freak, he guessed that maybe he didn’t want him touching the tableware?
This made him feel slightly better.
Soon the two began to eat. Bai Qi didn’t really like eating out; if the surrounding environment was too noisy, or if his dining companions had bad table manners, he would feel uncomfortable.
However, Bo Yan ate very elegantly, quickly and cleanly, without making a sound, and the surroundings were beautiful, and Bai Qi gradually relaxed.
The two weren’t very familiar, and neither were talkative; the silence was surprisingly pleasant.
Bai Qi ate quietly. He didn’t tell Bo Yan what Bai Sheng had said about the guesthouse being a private villa; he guessed it was something Bo Yan had specifically built.
Thinking that he took this script so seriously, Bai Qi felt a sense of responsibility.
He had to help Bo Yan with all his might.
So after finishing their meal, Bai Qi proactively offered to help Bo Yan rehearse.
Bo Yan was stunned for a moment, surprised, then seemingly delighted.
“You don’t mind?”
Bai Qi pursed his lips.
He was actually very ticklish, and the thought made him apprehensive. But that slight itch seemed insignificant compared to Bo Yan’s immersion in the role.
He could endure it; the worst would be like before.
Thinking this, he nodded, trying to sound nonchalant: “It’s nothing.”
Bo Yan was silent for a long time, staring at Bai Qi without speaking.
For a moment, Bai Qi suddenly regretted it, a chill running down his spine, as if he had been targeted by a venomous snake.
Fortunately, this feeling disappeared in an instant.
After a while, Bo Yan chose a scene and handed it to him. Bai Qi took a deep breath.
This was an important scene. Dr. Jiang, because of Su Qi’s strange actions, became more suspicious that he was the killer, but also felt worse.
Fearing he would fall deeper, he decided to use himself as bait, pretending to faint when they were alone to see if Su Qi would strike.
A real serial killer wouldn’t miss such an opportunity.
So one day, hearing noises on the roof, he placed a hidden camera in his bag and hid a razor blade in his palm, going up alone, pretending to faint in front of Su Qi.
A doctor faking a faint would naturally be convincing; Su Qi was startled and immediately came over.
Dr. Jiang had imagined countless reactions; perhaps Su Qi would wake him up, knock him unconscious, or even kill him in the extreme case.
However, Su Qi cared for Dr. Jiang, and his first reaction was to give him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Of course, there was no actual kiss in the script. At the crucial moment, Dr. Jiang felt Su Qi leaning in, thinking it was an attack, immediately opening his eyes and dodging. Su Qi ended up kissing his cheek.
From then on, their relationship changed from ambiguous probing to real flirting.
Bai Qi breathed a sigh of relief; a kiss on the cheek was acceptable, not as ticklish as on his belly.
Although it seemed simple, this time Bo Yan was the one remaining still, with Bai Qi taking the lead. This made him a little less confident.
Sensing Bai Qi’s apprehension, Bo Yan pondered for a moment, his expression serious: “Just treat me as a patient; do mouth-to-mouth resuscitation as you would normally, it’s okay if the actions aren’t perfect.”
Listening to his words, Bai Qi’s anxiety gradually subsided, and the two went upstairs to the room.
This time, Bo Yan didn’t actually simulate the roof scene but chose the bed in the bedroom, likely because they had just showered, and he didn’t want to lie on the floor and get dirty.
Bai Qi knew he was a neat freak and obediently took off his shoes before following Bo Yan.
The bed felt different.
The large bed was extremely soft, bright red like a wedding bed, with curtains swaying around it. The two, wearing matching bathrobes, sat on the bed, Bo Yan’s gaze constantly on Bai Qi’s face, creating an undeniably ambiguous atmosphere.
Yet Bai Qi didn’t notice.
He completely ignored the extremely handsome celebrity beside him, instead diligently wiping the bedside table, his thin white fingers running over the wood, already pretending to be Su Qi.
Behind him, Bo Yan propped his chin on one hand, staring at the thin and delicate scapulae on Bai Qi’s back, lost in thought.
A few seconds later, Bai Qi heard a thud behind him.
Even knowing Bo Yan was pretending to faint, his heart still instinctively flinched, and he immediately turned to look.
Bo Yan lay on the bed with his eyes closed, his already pale skin appearing even paler against the red bedsheet, his waist exceptionally slender, his whole body like a piece of cold jade. The usually imposing man looked vulnerable.
Bai Qi’s eyelashes trembled; at this moment, he genuinely felt immersed in the role.
He immediately rushed to Bo Yan’s side, anxiously calling him: “Jiang Bo Yan?”
He vigorously shook Bo Yan’s clothes. Bo Yan let him pull, showing no sign of opening his eyes, his breathing very shallow.
Next came mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Bai Qi’s heart beat faster, staring at the person in front of him.
Bo Yan’s lips were beautifully shaped, pale in color, looking cold and thin. With his eyes closed, he wasn’t as fierce, like a carved immortal.
Bai Qi leaned closer.
The shadow cast by his body covered Bo Yan’s face; the feeling was strange, like he was defiling him.
Thinking that Bo Yan would dodge at the crucial moment, Bai Qi gathered some courage, slowly leaning towards him.
The distance between them gradually shortened, their breaths spraying onto each other’s faces. Although there was still a short distance, Bai Qi had the illusion that he was about to touch him; even his lips were tingling.
If they felt like this from so far away, he couldn’t imagine what it would be like if they actually touched.
He was incredibly uncertain. He needed Bo Yan to dodge at the right moment; if he didn’t do it in time, it would be very embarrassing.
But thinking that Bo Yan cared even more about this than he did, Bai Qi was reassured.
He pursed his lips, his lips even redder and more tender, slowly leaning down again.
The temperature steadily rose; this time, not just his lips, Bai Qi’s cheeks inexplicably flushed, his heart beating rapidly.
He’s so close, isn’t he going to dodge?
He was a little scared.
Bai Qi closed his eyes, gathering his courage once more and going down, one centimeter, two centimeters…
The next second, his lips touched something soft and warm, like the sweetest jelly, tender, soft, and warm.
Bai Qi’s momentum was hard to stop. He instinctively leaned forward a little, and realizing this, his face flushed red, he quickly pulled back and opened his eyes, seeing Bo Yan’s handsome profile.
Bo Yan’s black hair was slightly disheveled; his abstinent demeanor was gone, as if he had been violated.
Oh, so he had dodged?
Bai Qi’s lips still held the lingering sensation. More than an itch, it was an indescribable foreign feeling, causing his fingers to tremble.
He subconsciously pursed his lips, realizing for the first time that the flesh on his face could be this soft, celebrities really did have good skin.
Afraid of disturbing Bo Yan’s thoughts, Bai Qi sat beside him silently, also afraid he would say no and make him do it again.
Though this scene wasn’t as ticklish as before, his face was inexplicably hot, and he couldn’t calm down.
No wonder other couples liked kissing.
Bai Qi didn’t understand this before, feeling very resistant and disgusted. But after lightly touching Bo Yan’s cheek, he suddenly found it wasn’t as unpleasant as he imagined, clean and not disgusting at all.
