Chapter 4: No Random Touching
For a split second, Liang Yuhang truly felt as if Mumu was rubbing against him.
It felt tingly. Itchy.
But a human, after all, is not a cat.
He reached out, grabbed the other person’s wrist, and decisively lifted it away, casting it aside to draw a clear line. “Apologies. I loathe being touched.”
Mu Feng thought to himself: Never touched a man, never touched a woman. Keeping himself clean and chaste—a true paragon of male virtue.
However, he wondered what Liang Yuhang’s reaction would be if he knew that Mu Feng was the very creature he had shared a bed with last night.
Would he get angry? Would he lose his temper and punish him?
That would be incredible.
Mu Feng smiled and withdrew his hand. “Injections are the subject I’ve mastered best. If you need help next time, I can do it for you.”
Liang Yuhang didn’t respond.
He felt this person was a little too enthusiastic—much like Mumu, who had been suspected of going into heat last night. Simply difficult to deal with.
“No need.” He raised his hand to input data into the instrument. “I don’t feel anything anyway.”
Mu Feng nodded, his mind flashing back to the lingering sensation of touching him last night. He offered a compliment: “Then your body must be in great condition.”
Liang Yuhang raised an eyebrow slightly. He can even find a way to praise that?
Comparing the two interactions, for the first time, he introspected on whether he was being too cold and unapproachable.
Seeing the boy staring at him without blinking, he asked casually, “Then, regarding Mumu’s condition… based on your experience, what should be done?”
Mu Feng’s brain spun rapidly. “If a kitten is acting out, after the punishment, the owner needs to provide even more enthusiastic care. Like kisses, cuddles, and hugs.”
Liang Yuhang scoffed lightly. “I won’t be that cloying.”
“Learn, then.” Mu Feng blinked. “If you don’t soothe him properly, what will you do if the kitten runs away?”
Liang Yuhang didn’t have much experience raising cats, so he asked one more question. “What else?”
Mu Feng thought for a moment, deciding to secure some benefits for himself. “Give me your home address. I’ll send you a pet voice button set. You can teach him to press buttons for what he wants. Communication will be much smoother in the future.”
“Mn. I’ll buy it myself.” Liang Yuhang didn’t want to trouble him.
“The manufacturer I know does custom orders; they’re better than what’s on the market,” Mu Feng said with a gentle tone. “If you really don’t want to owe me a favor, you can just transfer me the money.”
Since it had come to this, Liang Yuhang didn’t refuse again. “How much?”
Mu Feng smiled slightly. “520.”
The number was too sensitive—slang for I love you. Liang Yuhang lifted his eyes to look at him, his pitch-black pupils dark and his gaze sharp.
Mu Feng felt his knees go a little weak under that look. Just that airy, silent glance made him want to drop to his knees.
He bobbed his Adam’s apple. “Is that too expensive?”
Liang Yuhang looked at him for a few seconds, sent the address, and transferred one thousand.
Mu Feng looked at the transfer record and sighed internally. Ah, I wanted to scam a “boyfriend transfer” history, but it didn’t work.
Forget it. I have important business.
“Has Senior decided who to take on for this year’s practicals?” Mu Feng handed over his file. “Mu Feng, Omega. Height 181cm, weight 64kg. Chest 96, waist 68, hips 90. My transcript is at the back; everything is a passing grade.”
Liang Yuhang lowered his eyes. Every subject was a low pass. A pretty, but total waste of space.
However… why did he report his measurements?
A 68cm waist. That really is thin.
“Not yet.” Liang Yuhang dumped out a reagent. “Babysitting brats is troublesome.”
They were only five years apart.
Mu Feng was also a first-class actor when playing the slacker student. “Take me. My grades are bad, so I won’t waste your time needing you to teach me anything specific. Doesn’t the Alliance require you to select a freshman to mentor? You can’t disobey military orders.”
“You certainly did your research.”
Liang Yuhang’s relationship with his family had been tense lately, and he couldn’t afford to let anyone pick faults with him. He lowered his eyes. “I’ll consider it.”
Mu Feng tilted his head slightly. “Although I’m dumb, I still have to pretend to love learning to make my parents happy. Senior Liang was promoted to Medical Control Executive at such a young age—saying you’re my mentor would give me a lot of bragging rights.”
Liang Yuhang raised a brow.
So, this guy’s “accidental” meeting yesterday, the breakfast today, and this humble attempt to curry favor… it was all just to get him as a mentor?
Yet, he couldn’t shake the feeling that beneath this innocent facade, something else was hidden.
But he did have to choose someone. An idiot would be easier to brush off. Liang Yuhang responded indifferently, “Fine.”
Mu Feng lowered his gaze to hide the triumph in his eyes, the corners of his lips curling up very slightly.
Liang Yuhang looked at him, lifted his chin slightly, and pointed at the equipment. “What are you standing there for? Clean. Record.”
Mu Feng truly loved that tone of voice.
Crisp, decisive commands. It felt very masterful. It was fatally dominant.
“Yes, Sir.” Daddy.
He silently added the last word in his heart, his movements becoming brisk as he worked.
When Jiang Yuan ambled over, he saw the Young Master—who usually never lifted a finger for household chores—bending over to wash test tubes for someone else. He immediately whipped out his phone and started recording.
“Today’s paranormal event. I need to record this and find a shaman to perform an exorcism on you.”
“Get lost. I am Teacher Liang’s student now; doing a little work is expected.” Mu Feng’s eyes curved into a smile as he took the liberty of changing the address. “Right, Teacher Liang?”
Liang Yuhang gave a grunt of acknowledgment, barely accepting the title.
Only then did Jiang Yuan notice the tall, handsome guy standing next to him. He looked very familiar. He squinted for a few moments before suddenly crying out in indignation, “Liang Yuhang? Your mentor is actually Liang Yuhang?”
Mu Feng despised his dramatic reaction. “What’s wrong? You jealous?”
Jiang Yuan grabbed him, pulled him aside, and lowered his voice. “The hottest Alpha in my fishing pond told me last night that he had a change of heart. He suddenly went crazy and wants to do a ‘Double A’ relationship—he fell for Liang Yuhang from the Research Institute and deleted me! It’s humiliating! I can’t compare to him? What’s so good about two Alphas together?”
Mu Feng felt a bit guilty. What do you do when the person standing in front of you also wants a Double A relationship?
He swayed awkwardly between his bro and his male god. “You… probably… can’t compare.”
Jiang Yuan was indignant. “Are you a glitching NPC? What kind of nonsense are you spouting?”
“Oh come on, you have so many ‘brothers’ in your collection. What does it matter if you lose one?” Mu Feng consoled him.
“I liked this one the most! Besides, my actual brother deleted all the fish in my phone.” Jiang Yuan ruffled his hair irritably. “Anyway, change mentors. Liang Yuhang and I are sworn enemies.”
Mu Feng felt dizzy listening to him.
He had been like this since he woke up, likely a side effect of last night’s injection. He touched his own wrist; it was scorching hot.
Jiang Yuan leaned in close. “Look me in the eyes and answer me.”
Mu Feng abandoned his brother without a baseline of morality. “Probably can’t do that.”
Liang Yuhang had excellent hearing. Even though their voices were low, he heard most of it. He turned his head. “Him. I’m taking him.”
“What do you mean you’re taking him? I’ll find him someone better. I’ll ask my brother.” Jiang Yuan brandished his claws, slapping at Liang Yuhang’s arm.
“Move your hand.” Liang Yuhang shook off his paw with immense disgust. “Who is your brother?”
Jiang Yuan dropped the big name. “Lu Zhuo. Also from the Research Institute. His grades are no worse than yours.”
“A brother with a different last name? Picked him up off the street?” Liang Yuhang knew Lu Zhuo, but he didn’t know he had a younger brother. This kid’s mouth was toxic enough to kill someone.
“You…” Jiang Yuan, having been hit where it hurt, turned his head to look at his best friend. “Well? My brother is better than him. I was planning to keep him for myself, but I’ll gift him to you.”
Mu Feng didn’t hear a word he was saying. The constant blah blah blah was mixing with the aftereffects of last night’s injection. His head spun, his vision blurred, and his legs went soft as he collapsed straight toward Liang Yuhang.
This time, he really didn’t do it on purpose.
Jiang Yuan: ??? No, bro? What is this throwing-yourself-into-his-arms move?
He turned his head in shock, only to see Liang Yuhang reach out and catch the person securely with one hand. The wheat-colored skin gripping the pale back of the neck created a very stark contrast.
“Holy sh*t.” The scene in front of him was a bit too much for Jiang Yuan to process, and his brain took a detour. “Didn’t you say you hate people touching you? Why are you holding him so tight?”
Liang Yuhang also realized what happened.
It was just a subconscious act of helping others—the instinct of a doctor’s benevolence.
But now, when he wanted to let go, Mu Feng was sliding down against his chest.
Liang Yuhang hauled him up, frowning. “He threw himself at me.”
“Sorry, too dizzy… couldn’t stand,” Mu Feng apologized while pressed against his chest.
Liang Yuhang endured the discomfort of being touched and, in the end, didn’t push him away.
Mu Feng’s entire body was burning, his consciousness scattering from the fever. Yet, he didn’t forget to reach out and wrap his arms around that lean, powerful waist, his fingers rubbing against the firm back muscles.
“But… your muscles are really well-trained.”
Liang Yuhang: “………..”
He raised his hand and pressed Mu Feng into the nearby chair, his broad palm cupping the back of Mu Feng’s neck as he warned:
“No. Random. Touching.”
Mu Feng parted his lips slightly, looking as if he had been bullied thoroughly. Subconsciously, he replied:
“Teacher Liang… I know I was wrong. Punish me.”
