Vicious Cannon Fodder, But a Squeamish Heartthrob chapter 12

Chapter 12: If You Aren’t Obedient, I’ll Slap You

Zhou Yuejun set down the items and went to the kitchen to wash his hands. When he returned to the living room, he found that Yu Deng couldn’t wait and had already opened the lunchbox.

The fragmented light fell on Yu Deng. With his thin arms and legs, he was only a bit thicker than a bamboo pole.

He really had made him hungry.

It was all his fault. He knew Yu Deng had just arrived and lacked security, yet he still came back so late.

Yu Deng surely felt he didn’t care and was cold-shouldering him on purpose.

At this thought, Zhou Yuejun was suddenly filled with pity, feeling that the soft flesh on Yu Deng’s cheeks had sunken in a bit.

He had gotten thinner.

The food from that shop yesterday was truly good and suited Yu Deng’s taste. As soon as he picked up a rib, he hurriedly shoved it into his mouth.

Zhou Yuejun walked behind Yu Deng and shook the remaining water droplets from his hands.

He hooked a stool with his leg, and after sitting down, he placed his palm against Yu Deng’s belly.

Before Yu Deng could get angry, Zhou Yuejun pulled him onto his lap and spoke against his ear.

“I’m sorry. I’ll come back earlier from now on and won’t let you go hungry again. Don’t be angry anymore.”

Zhou Yuejun spoke softly, trying his best to be gentle.

Whether it was because of his breath or because his voice was too deep and sexy, Yu Deng’s ear felt tingly and numb, like ants were crawling on it.

Alright, since Zhou Yuejun had shown weakness to him, he would forgive him.

Yu Deng sat on Zhou Yuejun. Zhou Yuejun leaned his torso back, not letting Yu Deng’s back touch his chest.

Otherwise, the boy would surely start a fuss about it being too hot and refuse to have any contact with him at all.

The body in his arms was fragrant, sweet, and soft. As the wind from the fan blew, the scent seeped directly into Zhou Yuejun’s body.

Dark hair hooked around a lustrous earlobe, the texture like the finest precious jade, refined and exquisite. Zhou Yuejun stared at the small black mole behind the ear, inadvertently lost in thought.

He wanted to lean in and lick it.

Yu Deng ate the ribs, paired with egg fried rice.

Zhou Yuejun’s bowl, however, was plain rice with pickles. The rice was old and dry, feeling as though it would scratch his throat, and the two cabbage leaves were no different from being boiled in water, with not a drop of oil in sight.

So poor his life felt bitter.

Yet even so, Zhou Yuejun didn’t move his chopsticks toward Yu Deng’s bowl.

He saw that Yu Deng felt greasy after eating a few ribs and didn’t forget to urge him: “Eat more meat, don’t let it go to waste.”

Giving it to himself would be waste; giving it to Yu Deng was not.

“Cough, cough…”

Yu Deng swallowed too quickly, and the mix of rice and meat got stuck in his throat.

But without him needing to speak, Zhou Yuejun nimbly set down his bowl and chopsticks, lifted Yu Deng from his lap, and quickly went to pour water.

Yu Deng’s plump lips pressed against the cup as he tilted his head to drink. Zhou Yuejun patted his chest, stroking up and down to smooth things over.

“Drink slowly, no rush.”

His chest was thin; it felt like there wasn’t much meat there. With a light embrace, he could lift the boy up.

Yu Deng angrily slapped away Zhou Yuejun’s hand that was taking advantage of him. He opened his small mouth and grumbled.

“It’s all your fault! You kept making me eat, I couldn’t eat anymore but you still pressured me. I almost choked to death!”

Yu Deng had coughed hard just now, and his face and neck were flushed. Consequently, he was covered in a rosy hue, and even a glare at Zhou Yuejun carried an erotic, lingering charm.

He was quite unreasonable, having a small throat and being unable to swallow, yet he pinned the blame on Zhou Yuejun.

Such an unreasonable kid—if he met anyone else, he’d probably be pinned by the waist and given a beating until his rear was swollen and he admitted his mistake.

But who could blame him, for he was Yu Deng?

Zhou Yuejun knew it was his fault and began to apologize again, smoothing over the little emperor’s anger.

He wanted to raise Yu Deng better, but it was impossible to make him fat in one bite. He could only make every meal as good as possible to keep the boy’s nutrition up and let him grow slowly.

Yu Deng had also eaten his fill. He held the cup and took two more sips, his lips becoming a moist, vivid red: “You eat it. I’m not eating anymore.”

Yu Deng felt the male lead was truly pitiful, always only able to eat his leftovers.

Little did he know, for Zhou Yuejun, this was a reward.

“By the way, the shop lady downstairs said we can plant some vegetables on the rooftop. Do you want to?”

“If you do, buy some seeds for me too. I want to grow grapes.”

Zhou Yuejun: “…”

Grow grapes? Where could they grow those?

Zhou Yuejun didn’t want Yu Deng worrying about such things. He finished the rice in his own bowl in two or three bites: “I’ll see. Don’t go to the rooftop; there’s no railing.”

He would just buy some random seeds for Yu Deng to plant at home to pass the time.

After lunch, Zhou Yuejun still didn’t stay long, warning Yu Deng not to run around.

“I know, I know! I’m going to take a nap. Bring the fan in for me.”

After saying that, he scrambled onto the bed.

The soles of his feet were pink, and his toes were also a rosy hue, their luster comparable to pearls.

It made Zhou Yuejun want to hold them in his hands and play with them properly.

Zhou Yuejun was restless. If he didn’t satisfy a bit of his craving, he’d have no mind to work all afternoon.

He saw Yu Deng lying on the bed, stroking his stomach one stroke at a time, looking for all the world like he was carrying a baby.

After plugging in the fan, Zhou Yuejun walked to the bed.

Yu Deng didn’t close his eyes. At this moment, he was staring with his clear, almond-amber eyes, innocent and harmless.

He captured the heated emotional tide in Zhou Yuejun’s eyes.

It was lust.

Yu Deng clicked his tongue and held out his arm: “Only the hand.”

However, this time Zhou Yuejun didn’t listen. He quickly leaned down and took a loud peck on Yu Deng’s cheek.

Yu Deng was dazed for two seconds before smashing a fist into Zhou Yuejun.

But his fist was soft and lacked strength; it didn’t hurt at all.

On the contrary, the spot on his cheek where Zhou Yuejun had kissed him turned red from the suction, looking like a mosquito bite.

Yu Deng grabbed Zhou Yuejun’s clothes and sat up, kicking the man’s thigh.

“How can you be so casual?!”

“I’ve only been dating you for a short while and you’re already kissing my face. If I stay with you for a few more days, are you going to… are you going to eat me clean and then throw me away?”

Zhou Yuejun’s gravelly voice flatly denied it: “No throwing away. Won’t happen. I’ll always provide for you.”

Yu Deng’s face was completely red, no different from a ripe fruit. His vivid lips puffed out as he tilted his chin, pretending to be fierce to intimidate the man.

“Hmph!”

“You must get my permission before you kiss me from now on. Otherwise, I’ll slap you.”

A slap?

Wouldn’t that just be touching his face?

His small hands were so tender; he’d have to make sure to wash his face clean and shave properly by then.

To display his authority, Yu Deng intentionally kicked the man.

He pushed against Zhou Yuejun’s abdomen with his foot.

“Alright, are you going to work or not? Drink plenty of water; don’t get heatstroke.”

The snow-white toes pressing against Zhou Yuejun were truly…

Stoking the fire.

Now Zhou Yuejun wanted to go to work even less. He wanted to take a shower.

Or, eat Yu Deng clean.

Because of his restraint, both of Zhou Yuejun’s eyes were stained a bloodshot red, yet he still turned and left properly.

“How was that? Did I do well just now? Was I fierce? Good at bullying, right?”

107: 【…】

It felt a bit sour.

Yu Deng’s life was just that dull and boring. After his nap, he started reading his comic books.

However, compared to Zhou Yuejun, he felt he was very lucky. After all, someone was providing for him, so he didn’t have to go out and suffer.
