Chapter 1: Such a Good Baby

“Baby, lift your leg a little.”

Gu Huaiye patted the cheek of the beauty pinned beneath him, a wicked smirk curving the corners of his mouth.

The beauty’s expression was freezing cold, his eyes devoid of any warmth. If not for the flush rising on his cheeks, Gu Huaiye would have suspected he was sleeping with a robot.

“Why so reluctant? The whole room reeks of your pheromones,” Gu Huaiye leaned in closer, dropping a kiss on the man’s ear.

Sure enough, a second later, a sticky, stifled sound came from the room.

It was very faint, almost inaudible.

But that was enough. Gu Huaiye kissed those bright red lips with satisfaction.

“Such a good baby.”

The blazing sun streamed through the window. Woken by the heat, Gu Huaiye raised a hand to rub his temples.

He glanced to his side, only to find that Xie Miaohan was already gone.

Gu Huaiye frowned and moved to get up.

The moment he sat up, a wave of soreness washed over his back. Gu Huaiye’s face twisted in pain.

Damn it, sore all over again.

Every time he went to bed with Xie Miaohan, a beating was inevitable. To physically suppress a man taller than himself, Gu Huaiye had to expend an exhausting amount of effort.

Grimacing, Gu Huaiye climbed out of bed, picked up a white shirt from the floor, and threw it on carelessly.

Walking out of the bedroom, he deliberately took a tour around the apartment. Once he confirmed Xie Miaohan had indeed left, a flicker of disappointment crossed his brow.

He sat on the sofa and lit a cigarette.

Just then, the phone on the coffee table began to vibrate.

He picked up, his tone lazy. “Miss me? or do you want me to pay for your drinks again?”

His friend, Chen Zirui, gave a dry laugh. “My dad froze my cards recently. Once they’re reactivated, I’ll pay you back everything I owe immediately.”

“I doubt I’ll live to see that day. With that slouchy attitude of yours, your dad is going to bring his illegitimate son home and kick you out sooner or later.”

Chen Zirui panicked. “Don’t jinx it! I’m already learning how to run the company. You’re the lucky one, finding such a considerate and brilliant boyfriend. With him helping you manage your company, you can just have fun every day.”

At the thought of Xie Miaohan’s face, Gu Huaiye’s gaze softened. He chuckled, “You should find one too.”

“I don’t have your skills.” Chen Zirui finished teasing and got back to the point. “Good brother, come over and pay the tab for me. Or just transfer the money. If you don’t come save me, I’ll have to stay here and work as a waiter.”

“Wouldn’t that be good for you? You spend money like water; you ought to experience the hardships of life.”

“Don’t do this, Ge!”

“Call me Daddy.”

Chen Zirui, never one to care about dignity, shouted “Daddy” in less than a second.

At this point, Gu Huaiye couldn’t really refuse. He stood up and headed for the bathroom.

“Wait a bit, I’m going to take a shower.”

“Huh? Why do you need to shower just to transfer money?”

Gu Huaiye paused. “…”

“I’m coming over to drink, too.”

He didn’t have anything else to do anyway. Xie Miaohan was likely busy at the Gu Group right now. If he went over there to disturb him, it would just make Xie Miaohan unhappy again.

And if Xie Miaohan was unhappy, there probably wouldn’t be any kisses or hugs tonight.

Gu Huaiye tidied up briefly, went out, and hailed a car. Less than half an hour later, he arrived at the bar where Chen Zirui was waiting.

Chen Zirui had opened a VIP box. Gu Huaiye followed the waiter to the room.

The moment the door opened, the choking smell of pheromones hit him.

Gu Huaiye immediately pinched his nose, looking at the boy in Chen Zirui’s arms with a face full of disgust.

“You ordered company? Since it’s not your money, you’re just going to spend it wildly, right?”

“Just drinking company, that’s all,” Chen Zirui smiled sheepishly.

Seeing Gu Huaiye’s distaste, Chen Zirui quickly shooed the person away, then ingratiatingly wiped the spot where the boy had been sitting with a handkerchief.

“It’s clean now. Come sit.”

Gu Huaiye held the door with one hand, waiting for the smell to dissipate before entering the box and sitting down next to Chen Zirui.

“Next time you order people, don’t invite me.” Gu Huaiye lowered his head and sniffed his clothes, a little worried about being tainted by another Omega’s pheromones.

Seeing this, Chen Zirui clicked his tongue twice.

“Seeing you like this, I’ve completely given up on the idea of marriage.” Chen Zirui took a clean glass and poured wine for Gu Huaiye. “Being henpecked like this… it’s so boring.”

“I’m happy to do it.”

After they got married, Gu Huaiye couldn’t control his ruts effectively, so he forcibly took Xie Miaohan for surgery, turning him into an Omega with an artificial gland.

He knew he was scum. That was why, in bed, no matter how much disgust Xie Miaohan showed, Gu Huaiye endured it.

Even if they slept in separate beds for a month, Gu Huaiye would accommodate him and just take care of his needs himself.

Last night, he had drunk too much and missed Xie Miaohan terribly, so he had forced his way into the other man’s room.

He got beaten up for it, so he considered them even.

Gu Huaiye didn’t feel he was wrong about that. What married couple sleeps in separate beds forever? Someone has to bow their head first.

He had thick skin, so he bowed his head.

“Brother Gu, you’re finished in this life.” Chen Zirui shook his head with a look of pity. “You have completely fallen into Xie Miaohan’s hands.”

“It doesn’t matter. I’ve already reserved him for my next life, too,” Gu Huaiye smiled proudly.

Looking at the love-struck fool before him, Chen Zirui got goosebumps, mentally reminding himself not to end up like Gu Huaiye.

“But, your Xie Miaohan is so tall… can you even hold him down?” Chen Zirui had been curious about this for a long time.

Gu Huaiye glared at him. “I’m 1.8 meters tall too, you know.”

“You’re still shorter than Xie Miaohan.”

“So much nonsense. Just drink.” Gu Huaiye clinked glasses with him.

After a few cups, Chen Zirui was fading fast, leaning back against the sofa playing on his phone.

A moment later, he jolted upright and turned his phone screen toward Gu Huaiye.

“Holy sh*t, someone’s stealing your base!”

Gu Huaiye narrowed his eyes. When he saw the photo on the phone clearly, his face instantly turned ugly.

In the photo, Xie Miaohan was sharing an umbrella with another man. The two were leaning very close together, looking exactly like a couple.

And Gu Huaiye recognized that man.

Wasn’t that the Omega from university whose pheromones were perfectly compatible with Xie Miaohan?

When did they get back in touch?!
