The colleague was still rushing him. Gu Huaiye turned his head in confusion to look at him, his gaze holding a strangeness Xie Miaohan had never seen before.

Xie Miaohan pursed his lips and went to the ordering counter.

“What flavors would you like?”

Xie Miaohan didn’t dare make eye contact with Gu Huaiye. His eyes remained fixed on his own calloused fingers, breathing very lightly for fear of disturbing the person across from him.

Chen Zirui spoke first. “I want chocolate.”

Xie Miaohan nodded and entered the order on the machine.

“Xialin, what do you want?” Gu Huaiye looked at Chen Xialin.

“I can’t decide.” Chen Xialin held onto Gu Huaiye’s arm, smiling sweetly. “How about I just eat whatever Brother Gu eats.”

Gu Huaiye laughed. “I’m ordering mint. I prefer that taste.”

Xie Miaohan’s eyelashes trembled slightly. Gu Huaiye’s words threw his heart into chaos.

“Ah, but mint is a bit spicy.” Chen Xialin pouted in distaste. “Then I’ll just choose strawberry flavor.”

Xie Miaohan was still immersed in Gu Huaiye’s words and didn’t react for a long time.

Chen Zirui grew impatient and knocked on the counter.
