Chapter 168: Don’t Like Him

When Xie Miaohan came out of the shower, the living room lights were still off.

His expression faltered slightly. He turned on the lights and found Gu Huaiye sitting on the floor, holding a wine glass, a flush on his cheeks.

“Miaomiao, are you done washing?”

Xie Miaohan gave an “Mn” and came in front of Gu Huaiye, crouching down to look him in the eye.

“Why are you suddenly drinking?” Xie Miaohan looked worried. “You just drank last night, and drinking again now is bad for your stomach.”

Gu Huaiye pulled Xie Miaohan’s wrist, bringing him to sit on the floor with him.

“Miaomiao, am I a terrible partner?”

Xie Miaohan shook his head, raised his hand to brush away the stray hair on Gu Huaiye’s forehead, and whispered, “Why do you suddenly think that?”

Gu Huaiye hugged his waist tightly. “Is it because of guilt that you didn’t dare acknowledge me?”

“But I…” Xie Miaohan paused, insisting stubbornly, “He caused you to get sick, and only knew how to demand love from you, not even discovering your heart problem. He won’t be me; he can’t possibly be me.”

If it were him, he would have discovered Gu Huaiye was sick immediately and taken Gu Huaiye for treatment promptly, sparing Gu Huaiye even a bit of the pain from the heart disease.
