Chapter 172: He Volunteered

Chen Zirui glanced at Xiang Wanxing a couple of times but ultimately didn’t go over.

He felt like Xiang Wanxing was tricking him. Once he actually went over, who knew how the man would torment him?

He wasn’t that stupid!

Xiang Wanxing urged him for a while, but seeing Chen Zirui lower his head again, he clenched his fist in anger. However, unlike his outburst downstairs earlier, he merely looked away and continued talking to Father Gu.

After dinner, Father Gu patted Gu Huaiye on the shoulder.

“Come to the study with me for a moment.”

“But…” Gu Huaiye looked at Chen Zirui.

Xie Miaohan immediately said, “Don’t worry, I’ll help watch him.”

With Xie Miaohan’s assurance, Gu Huaiye instantly felt at ease and followed Father Gu to the study.

“Is this friend from District B actually Xiang Wanxing?”

After reassuring Father Gu, Gu Huaiye left the study and went to the living room to find Xie Miaohan and Chen Zirui.

But when he reached the first floor, he found only Xie Miaohan sitting on the sofa.

“Where is Chen Zirui?”

“He went back with Xiang Wanxing.” As if afraid of making Gu Huaiye angry, Xie Miaohan hurriedly added an explanation: “Chen Zirui volunteered. I didn’t stop him.”

Gu Huaiye was dumbfounded. “Isn’t Chen Zirui terrified of him? How could he be willing?”

“When Chen Zirui went to the bathroom, Xiang Wanxing followed him while I wasn’t paying attention,” Xie Miaohan said. “They stayed inside for about half an hour. When they came out, Chen Zirui was willing.”

Seeing Gu Huaiye silent, Xie Miaohan thought he was angry and quickly stood up to hold Gu Huaiye’s hand.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t do what you asked. I’ll call Xiang Wanxing right now.”

“Go up. I’ll be there soon.”

Gu Huaiye sat down and called Chen Zirui.

The phone rang for a long time before it was picked up.

“He just left not long ago, and you’re already impatient to call him? Are you two really just brothers?” The person answering was Xiang Wanxing.

Chen Zirui was currently sitting in the back seat of a car with Xiang Wanxing. Xiang Wanxing had his arm around Chen Zirui’s waist and kept kissing his neck, causing Chen Zirui’s breathing to become erratic.

“Stop kissing… You promised me you wouldn’t touch me for a few days.” Chen Zirui covered the phone and lowered his voice. “If you keep this up, I’m going to stay at a hotel.”

Gu Huaiye chuckled mischievously, wrapped his arms around Xie Miaohan’s waist, and couldn’t help but kiss the man’s chest.
