His cheeks were flushed with an abnormal redness. He was collapsed on the floor, propping himself up with both arms, panting heavily.

Chen Zirui stopped in his tracks, staring in astonishment at the disheveled Xiang Wanxing.

A moment later, he smelled the scent of peaches—it was Xiang Wanxing’s pheromones.

He glared at Chen Zirui with a vicious look. “Didn’t I tell you to get lost? If you dare touch me, I’ll…”

Before he could finish, Chen Zirui pulled him up, pulling his entire body into a warm embrace.

Xiang Wanxing trembled with rage, thinking that if Chen Zirui dared to mark him now, he would definitely kill him.

No, just killing him wouldn’t be enough to vent his anger.

He would make him suffer endless torture, making even death a luxury.

Just as Xiang Wanxing’s thoughts were spiraling, Chen Zirui injected an inhibitor into him.

Xiang Wanxing froze, staring at Chen Zirui’s face in disbelief.

Xiang Wanxing stared intently at Chen Zirui, his thoughts unreadable.

“You’re good now, right?” Chen Zirui stood up and looked down at him. “I advise you to come to this kind of place less often. If you encounter an Alpha with high compatibility, you’ll really be done for.”

Xiang Wanxing finally spoke, his expression somewhat complex.

“Do you know you missed a great opportunity?”

Chen Zirui paused, puzzled. “What opportunity?”

“An opportunity for your whole family to jump social classes.” Xiang Wanxing curved his lips, mocking himself. “If you had taken the chance to mark me, I would be yours. I’d have to rely on you for the rest of my life, and I’d have to marry…”
