[Side CP Extra] Their First Life 04
Chen Zirui’s body went rigid. He hurriedly pulled his clothes back on and turned around to see Xiang Wanxing wearing a mischievous grin.
That slap from Xiang Wanxing wasn’t light; a stinging, numbing sensation radiated from his butt.
He glared at Xiang Wanxing, a mix of shame and anger on his face. “Are you sick?! Why did you smack my ass?”
“Because it looked very bouncy.”
Hearing that, Chen Zirui’s cheeks flushed even redder.
“Screw your bouncy.” Chen Zirui rubbed his butt, feeling incredibly stifled. But he couldn’t hit an Omega, so he gritted his teeth and endured it. “Did you forget the pain as soon as the wound healed? Your heat just ended not long ago, and here you are running back to the army to be a nuisance. Do you have a problem?”
“Yes, I do have a problem,” Xiang Wanxing admitted decisively, nodding. “Ever since that night, I’ve been thinking about you.”
Chen Zirui froze, his eyes wary. “Thinking about me for what?”
Xiang Wanxing curled his lips but didn’t answer the question.
“Little Shorty, play with me. Xie Miaohan went to the front lines, and I’m bored to death right now.”
Chen Zirui rolled his eyes. “So you really treat the army as a place to relieve your boredom. I knew I read you right. If you’re bored, go find someone else. Plenty of people would be happy to play with you for free. Count me out; I don’t have the time.”
With Xiang Wanxing here, he couldn’t change his clothes. He planned to grab his uniform and change in the restroom.
But he had only taken one step when Xiang Wanxing immediately blocked his path, staring at him with amused interest.
Chen Zirui really disliked that look; it felt like being eyed by a hunter.
“Don’t block me, I still need to change.”
“It’s such a hassle to walk back and forth. Just change here,” Xiang Wanxing looked him up and down unscrupulously, his gaze finally resting on his hips. “But, with your butt perked up like that, you don’t really look like an Alpha. Did an Omega sneak into the army? Come to think of it, when I was in heat, you weren’t affected at all. So, you’re a fake Alpha, aren’t you?”
Chen Zirui’s eyes went round with anger. “I passed the physical exam! If you don’t believe me, go check my file in the archives!”
“Then what is actually going on…” Xiang Wanxing unceremoniously reached out and grabbed a handful. “Is it a mutated differentiation? It looks distinctly like an Omega’s.”
Chen Zirui hadn’t expected him to grab him and hurriedly pushed his hand away.
“If you touch me again, I’ll sue you… sue you…”
It was the first time Chen Zirui had encountered something like this, and he couldn’t think of the right words. Xiang Wanxing answered for him directly.
“Sue me for harassment?”
“Yes! I’ll sue you for harassment!” Chen Zirui lifted his chin, unwilling to lose momentum, and emphasized, “You’re dead meat!”
“But what to do?” Xiang Wanxing tilted his head, the smile in his eyes growing more distinct. “The law doesn’t seem to protect Alphas. It’s useless even if you sue me. Besides, if word really got out, everyone would just make fun of you.”
Chen Zirui wilted completely.
Damn it, he’s so infuriating.
Seeing that Chen Zirui was genuinely unhappy, Xiang Wanxing reined it in a little and stopped teasing him.
“I heard you’re applying for leave.”
A look of unease appeared on Chen Zirui’s face. “What are you going to do?”
“Nothing, just asking.”
“None of your business.”
Chen Zirui was terrified that Xiang Wanxing would throw a wrench in the works. To apply for this leave, he had filled out a pile of troublesome paperwork; approval was the only step left.
Life here was bitter. He missed cigarettes and alcohol, and he missed the delicacies he got to eat every New Year.
“But a lot of people applied,” Xiang Wanxing said with a smile. “I don’t think you’ll necessarily get it.”
“As long as you don’t sabotage me, my application will succeed.”
Xiang Wanxing raised an eyebrow. “Aren’t you overestimating my power? How could I have the ability to interfere in so many things?”
Chen Zirui let out a mocking laugh. “You wander around the army camp like it’s your own home; is there anything you can’t do?”
This sentence seemed to strike a nerve with Xiang Wanxing. The smile on his face faded slightly, and he lowered his eyelids halfway.
“There are plenty of things I can’t do.” Xiang Wanxing let out a short, sharp laugh and said softly, “If my eldest brother arranges for an Alpha with high compatibility to drug and mark me, I have no way to resist.”
The reason he risked his heat acting up at any time to come to the army was specifically to build his own power, to establish a foothold in the Xiang family as soon as possible.
He knew that the longer he delayed, the more disadvantageous his situation would become.
If his brother utilized his troublesome constitution to find some random mess of a person to mark him…
Then he would truly become a puppet at someone else’s mercy.
“That’s why I advised you to come to this kind of place less often. Wasn’t the lesson last time enough? You really don’t learn.”
Chen Zirui’s voice pulled Xiang Wanxing’s thoughts back to reality.
“That’s exactly why. While Xie Miaohan isn’t here, only you can help me,” Xiang Wanxing took out his phone from his pocket and handed it to Chen Zirui. “Leave your contact info.”
“I don’t want to.”
“Is that so?” Xiang Wanxing suddenly dropped his smile, deliberately scaring Chen Zirui. “Then I’ll just have to keep remembering that middle finger and find a day to take revenge on your Chen family.”
The threat didn’t even last a minute before Chen Zirui took the phone and obediently punched in his number.
If he didn’t have to maintain his imposing image, Xiang Wanxing would have laughed out loud seeing how cowardly he was.
“I put it in. It’s my number. You can’t trouble me about the middle finger thing anymore.”
“Don’t worry, I’m a man of my word.”
Xiang Wanxing looked down at his phone and added a contact name for Chen Zirui’s number.
It seemed he had one more reason to come to the army often.
