Chapter 45: Why Don’t You Two Get Engaged?
Liang Yuhang slowly typed out a mental question mark.
He spoke with a half-smile, “You? Forced? Me?”
Mu Feng really wasn’t sure. After all, it had been like a dream. He was an Alpha at his core; what if…?
He moved his lips. “Probably not, right? After all, I’m a soft and powerless Omega.”
“Mhm. Quite soft.” Liang Yuhang recalled his waist.
Mu Feng: ?
Is that a dirty joke? Probably not. A person like Teacher Liang couldn’t possibly mean it that way.
He gave a few awkward laughs. “So what exactly did I do? Stop teasing me; I don’t want to owe any favors.”
“You just ran over and stole my bed, so I threw you back. What else could you have done?” Liang Yuhang said.
He didn’t plan to tell Mu Feng. After all, if it were made clear, everyone would be embarrassed. It was better to forget.
Mu Feng breathed a massive sigh of relief. “Ah, scared me to death. Good throw, wonderful throw. Next time, just throw me on the floor.”
Liang Yuhang glanced at him. Heartless.
Yesterday, who was the one who wouldn’t let go of his hand, saying “Daddy, help me” with every breath?
He asked slowly, “Are you really going to take care of Liang Jingyi?”
“Ah, I already agreed.” Mu Feng’s face was written all over with disgust. “Forget it. I’ll just go through the motions to turn the page quickly, otherwise, I feel like your dad will annoy me every day.”
Liang Zhaoqing was indeed that kind of person. When he wanted to protect someone, he would be incredibly persistent; it was just that Liang Yuhang had never enjoyed such treatment.
“Eat some breakfast first. I’ll go with you,” Liang Yuhang said.
Mu Feng sat at the dining table. Just as he took a sip of milk, the doorbell rang again.
He frowned. “They just finished cursing us out. They couldn’t have come back, could they?”
Liang Yuhang opened the door. Before he could see clearly, Jiang Yu’an came charging in like a wrecking ball, grabbing Mu Feng and starting a top-to-bottom inspection.
“I heard those two old geezers, Liang Zhaoqing and Mu Mingde, gave you a double-team beating? Where did they hit you? Huh?” Jiang Yu’an looked panicked.
Mu Feng: “…No. Where did you get your intel from?”
Liang Yuhang stepped aside to let Lu Zhuo into the room. “How did you two find out?”
“Xiao Jiang has a buddy who’s very well-informed, though the accuracy isn’t always the highest,” Lu Zhuo said. “However, Mu Feng’s spectacular deeds from last night have already spread privately. After all, there are too many eyes and ears.”
Mu Feng sighed again.
He had stabbed a kidney and made the headlines.
“Oh my god, that old geezer Mu Mingde actually treats you like a dog!” Jiang Yu’an was furious. He reached out to unbuckle the collar on Mu Feng’s neck. “It’s already rubbed red!!! It breaks my heart! My Mu-bao!!!”
Lu Zhuo glanced at Liang Yuhang, who gave him a speechless look.
He cleared his throat and reminded, “Jiang Yu’an, don’t guess blindly. That’s not what it is.”
“What isn’t it?” Jiang Yu’an was already blinded by rage. “Where’s the knife? I’m going to hack that old geezer!”
“Calm down. This really isn’t that.” Mu Feng also couldn’t bring himself to say it was a gift from Liang Yuhang; it was too difficult to speak of.
Now he understood why Liang Yuhang had asked him yesterday if he was afraid of being laughed at if he kept wearing it. He had foreseen this moment.
Mu Feng ruffled his hair messily. “I bought this myself. Didn’t I wear it before?”
“Ah, you bought it yourself.” Jiang Yu’an calmed down slightly, but he still felt it was quite different from the ones he had bought before.
Mu Feng liked metal jewelry; it wasn’t like he didn’t have spiked collars. But this one… it was a very simple piece of leather with a small bell hanging from it. No matter how you looked at it, it looked… erotic.
Jiang Yu’an felt a bit awkward for a moment. “Should have said so earlier. Good taste! I was thinking how that old geezer could have such aesthetic sense.”
Liang Yuhang: “…”
For a moment, I can’t tell if he’s praising or insulting me.
“I tried to stop him from coming to cause trouble, but he wouldn’t listen.” Lu Zhuo looked at the two. “What’s the situation now?”
“The situation is that I have to go take care of Liang Jingyi after I finish breakfast.” Mu Feng was listless, sitting back at the dining table and chewing on bread with a look of despair.
“On what grounds?!” The fire Jiang Yu’an had managed to suppress flared up again by three levels. “He molested you, and you have to take care of him? Why didn’t he get stabbed to death last night?”
“It’s a long story.” Mu Feng treated the bread like it was Liang Jingyi, viciously tearing it into pieces.
“Then… the marriage?” Lu Zhuo asked. “You probably aren’t willing, right?”
“That spread out too?” Mu Feng covered his face with his hands. “Being associated with that guy’s name makes me feel nauseous. Marriage my ass.”
Lu Zhuo hummed in agreement, analyzing rationally, “But I don’t think it’s something you can refuse just by saying no.”
He glanced at Liang Yuhang and switched to a teasing tone, “Does Colonel Liang not plan to do anything?”
Liang Yuhang wanted nothing more than to kick him like he kicked 0717.
Adding fuel to the fire. He only knows how to cause trouble.
With one look at each other, the two of them knew what the best solution was. But was it necessary to go to that extent?
Replacing Liang Jingyi.
It seemed unnecessary.
He and Mu Feng didn’t have that kind of relationship. They didn’t like each other; at most, they were just a bit closer than ordinary friends.
Mhm… leaving aside last night, that was just an emergency helping hand.
It was indeed unnecessary.
Liang Yuhang shook his head. “I’ve already said what needed to be said. The old man is too stubborn, and Liang Jingyi is stubborn too.”
“Ah, don’t do that. Why should our lovable Mu-bao marry that annoying guy?” Jiang Yu’an frowned. “What era is this? Forced buying and selling?”
“It’s okay. If we really have to get engaged or married, I’ll just keep stabbing him,” Mu Feng said with the calm of someone who had seen through the world. “At worst, we’ll die together.”
Jiang Yu’an hesitated to speak.
He really hadn’t encountered such a thing; his parents had always respected his decisions since he was a child. Putting himself in those shoes, he felt powerless.
Mu Feng finished the last bite of bread, stood up, and patted Jiang Yu’an’s head. “Alright, I’m going to the hospital. You guys go back to the base. I’m fine here.”
Jiang Yu’an looked at him with great concern.
No, I can’t watch my good brother walk into the tiger’s mouth.
Then, after thinking for a long time, he turned his head and looked at Lu Zhuo. “How about… you get engaged to him? Strike first to gain the advantage.”
Lu Zhuo: ?
Mu Feng: ?
Liang Yuhang: ?
Three pairs of eyes stared at him in unison, so stunned by this shocking statement that they didn’t know how to respond.
It was too shocking. What kind of brain could come up with such an operation?
Xiao Jiang, has your brain been soaked in alcohol like a specimen?
It was Lu Zhuo who reacted first, saying speechlessly, “Me? An orphan without father or mother? The Mu family would never look at me.”
“What kind of bastards would dare look down on you?” Jiang Yu’an was very displeased with his self-deprecation. “You’re a rising tech star, okay? And a Colonel. How are you not a match?”
“I beg you, stop playing matchmaker.”
Mu Feng’s head felt like it was going to explode. He reached out and pushed him toward the door. “I don’t have to get married, okay?”
“No, consider my brother. He’s very good.” Jiang Yu’an felt he had come up with a genius idea. “If you become my sister-in-law, I’d definitely be happy.”
Mu Feng: “…”
He felt like Lu Zhuo had already “killed” him eight hundred times with his gaze.
Liang Yuhang let out a light snort. “Consider it.”
Mu Feng: “…”
Fine, fine, fine. Everyone’s crazy. Each and every one of you is sick.
“Go, go, go, all of you get out.” Mu Feng reached out to push people, while he himself walked toward the door. “I’m leaving too. I’m going to the hospital.”
“I’ll drive you.” Liang Yuhang reached for the car keys.
“I actually really want to go to the hospital to see how miserable Liang Jingyi looks.” Jiang Yu’an didn’t mind making the mess bigger. “Brother, let’s go too.”
“Stop causing trouble.” Lu Zhuo’s eyes were black with frustration. “Shut your mouth. Don’t say anything else that will get you beaten.”
Jiang Yu’an didn’t feel there was anything wrong with his words. “What? Letting you and Mu-bao get engaged? Think about it, we know each other inside and out. Is there a problem?”
Jiang Yu’an was ruthlessly stuffed into the car by Lu Zhuo.
Mu Feng shook his head and lamented, “This kid hasn’t been whipped enough by life.”
“You’re just a kid too, talking like an old man.” Liang Yuhang unlocked the car.
Mu Feng sat in, feeling indignant. He didn’t pay attention, and a certain place began to throb with a dull ache again.
He pressed his lips together and endured it, but still couldn’t resist asking, “Last night…”
Liang Yuhang turned to glance at him. “What?”
A very shallow red flushed Mu Feng’s cheeks. His expression was a mix of embarrassment and a strange sort of pleasure.
“Did you… spank my butt?”
