Chapter 55: Iâll Eat Deng Deng
Yu Deng ran to the door. The shouting had stopped, and the kicking had ceased as well.
Just as he pressed his ear against the door, it was struck by another violent kick, startling him so much that he stumbled back two steps in a panic.
Hearing the footsteps retreat, Yu Deng placed his hands on his hips, his jade-white, porcelain-doll face flushing with arrogance. “Iâm not selling it! Just to spite you!”
Of course, Yu Deng was only trying to scare Zhou Aifeng; he didn’t actually want Zhou Yuejun to come back right now.
Zhou Yuejun had finally managed to work his way into management, and Yu Deng didnât want him to have to desert his post every other day.
It wasn’t until Zhou Yuejun returned in the evening that Yu Deng told him about what happened today.
“She was so arrogant! She almost kicked our door down. If it breaks, we’ll have to pay for it!”
“I was also afraid sheâd just camp outside our house.”
Yu Deng was held in Zhou Yuejunâs arms while he ate. He was having mixed rice noodles, and before heâd even taken two bites, he started rambling.
His cheeks were puffed out, and his crimson lips were slightly swollen, making him look exactly like a little gas tank ready to explode.
Zhou Yuejunâs eyelids were heavy, his gaze sharp and cold, while a dark, sinister light flickered within his obsidian eyes.
After a long silence, his thin lips finally parted. “During the day, Iâll take you to the library. As for the night…”
His work at the dance hall still had five days left. Xie Meng didn’t really want to let him go right now, so naturally, he wouldn’t let him leave early.
He couldn’t take Yu Deng to the dance hall with him either.
Suddenly, a thought flashed through Zhou Yuejunâs mind.
He could let Yu Deng stay at Qiao Fangyuâs house for two days.
But the thought was too dangerous; it only filled him with unease, so it vanished as quickly as it had appeared.
“What about the night?”
Yu Deng was tired of standing. Since the electric fan was blowing directly on him, he didn’t mind the heat and plopped himself down into Zhou Yuejunâs rock-hard lap.
The moment he pressed against him, a flash of blinding white light crossed Zhou Yuejunâs mind. His body tensed up, gradually becoming scorching hot.
Soft, elastic, and round.
Heaven knows who was about to feel “comfortable” to death.
“I have the fan and the TV at home. If she dares to come and cause a scene at night, Iâll just turn the TV volume all the way up. I don’t believe sheâll have the strength to keep shouting forever!”
“Let her shout. If the people in the building try to scold me, Iâll just say I was asleep and couldn’t hear. I want to see who theyâll actually scold then.”
“If she really tries to extort me, I donât have any money anyway. Let her come and cause trouble again!”
Yu Dengâs temper always manifested as whiny murmurs. With the soft, melodic tone of a Jiangnan dialect, everything he said sounded spoiled and arrogant.
The young man had just finished his “unreasonable tantrum” and took another two bites of his noodles.
The rice noodles were mixed with chili oil, and some had smeared onto Yu Dengâs lips. He then looked up and asked Zhou Yuejun.
“Have you found a house yet? Once you find one, we can move in early.”
This time, his voice was soft and thin, sweet enough to hook one’s soul.
Zhou Yuejun had been looking for a house whenever he had free time over the past two days. He had only found two apartments that he felt wouldn’t mistreat Yu Deng.
“If itâs really urgent, we can only settle for something temporary first.”
Then, he began to peck at Yu Dengâs face.
He had been talking non-stop, chirping like a little bird, and even his breath smelled sweet. Zhou Yuejun couldn’t help but want to peck at him.
Just as he kissed him once, Yu Deng tried to dodge, but he couldn’t escape the circle of Zhou Yuejunâs embrace.
Yu Deng was still holding his bowl with both hands. Cornered by the hungry wolf, he could only try to hide. “Woo~ No, Iâm eating.”
“After you kiss me, my tongue won’t be able to handle the chili anymore.”
Yu Dengâs mouth was nibbled on again. After that, a strong, powerful thumb and forefinger took control of the back of Yu Dengâs neck.
His fingertips were rough and scalding, kneading the soft, delicate neck, making Yu Deng itch. He was deliberately teasing and playing with him.
“Then don’t eat.”
It was really easy for Zhou Yuejun to be moved to passion. The cold, lonely ice in his black eyes only needed to melt a little to reveal the fire of desire burning within.
“Iâll eat.”
“Iâll eat Deng Deng.”
…
“Don’t just pant. Breathe.”
Of course Yu Deng knew to breathe, but wasn’t it because he couldn’t get any air?
Every time he took a breath, Zhou Yuejun would steal it away, practically using him as a filter.
As their breaths mingled, Yu Dengâs body temperature soared.
Trickling tears fell to the floor.
Before heading to the dance hall, Zhou Yuejun paid a visit to Zhou Aifengâs home.
The door was opened by Zhou Aifengâs daughter-in-law, whose sallow, thin face was etched with exhaustion.
Zhou Yuejunâs frame was powerful and lean, his body covered in hard muscles developed through physical labor.
His cheekbones and brow bones were slightly prominent, and his long, narrow phoenix eyes were sharp and murderous. His dark gaze lowered, making one feel as if they had been struck by a giant boulder.
He looked as fierce as a cleaver; who would dare provoke him?
“Who are you looking for?”
Before Zhou Yuejun could speak, Zhou Aifeng emerged from the kitchen clutching a handful of vegetables.
“Who is it?” she barked fiercely.
Zhou Yuejunâs face was like frost. He propped his bulging, muscular arm against the doorframe and stood there with a commanding presence. He didnât even need to build up his aura; his posture alone terrified her.
“If you dare go to my house again, watch out for your sonâs and grandsonâs legs.”
“Iâm the only one in my family. Iâm not afraid, so youâd better not be afraid either.”
Having said that, he turned and left.
Zhou Aifengâs daughter-in-law didn’t dare to even breathe loudly, and Zhou Aifeng only dared to start grumbling once he was far away.
“Who is he trying to scare?”
The daughter-in-law was still shaken and advised in a weak, small voice, “Mom, maybe we should just forget it.”
Zhou Aifeng was unreasonable. “Forget it? If you have the ability, bring out the money to buy a color TV.”
She had used that method to take advantage of many people before and had never failed. How could she possibly stop just because Zhou Yuejun threatened her a couple of times?
“That’s enough. You two stay inside for the next few days. Iâll go out alone. Do you think Iâm afraid of him?”
“Letâs see if he actually dares to hit me.”
The moment Zhou Yuejun raised his hand, she would just collapse onto the ground. At that point, sheâd be asking for more than just appliances.
That night, Zhou Aifeng actually came again, pounding on the door with great force.
In the bedroom, Yu Deng couldn’t sleep because of the noise, so he simply didn’t. He looked at his picture books instead.
Even though his thoughts were often disrupted by the racket, pictures were easier to process than words.
Keep shouting, keep going. He wouldn’t make a sound. Heâd spite that old woman to death.
The young man lay on the bed with his legs kicked up, propping his chin in his hands, looking quite relaxed and leisurely.
His cheeks were pressed out, and his lips were soft and pouty. Because of this posture, the lines of his waist were more fluid and recessed.
In contrast, it emphasized his plump curves.
Like a big, ripe peach.
It must be very delicious.
If only 107 could block his hearing.
[107: I canât do that~]
107 was also sleepy; evidently, he had been woken up within Yu Dengâs consciousness as well.
[Iâm just a stupid little robot. Besides providing you with a bit of help regarding the plot, Iâm useless.]
107 felt very guilty and expressed his helplessness.
Unsurprisingly, the people in the building were also woken up. After a few complaints, some people actually ran to the front of Yu Dengâs door.
When Zhou Aifeng saw people coming, instead of being intimidated, she struck first, making a false accusation: “Their family took my things!”
Yu Deng: Huh? What!
How could there be such a shameless person?
Yu Dengâs blood pressure had never risen to his head before; usually, it settled lower.
But now, he felt like his skull was about to pop.
He quickly sat on a stool, his chest heaving violently. He bared his teeth, his eyes spitting fire.
“Shameless! Wicked old woman!”
Yu Deng wasn’t sure if the people outside actually believed Zhou Aifengâs words or if they just wanted to smooth things over so they could get some sleep.
He only knew that these people were trying to treat him like a soft persimmon because Zhou Yuejun wasn’t home.
Because he heard someone say, “If he won’t open the door, then break it down.”
