Chapter 44: Teleporting into the Imperial Palace part 1
The little egg cub shuddered.
Yun Yinghui wasnât sure if it was just his imagination, but at that moment, the egg cub seemed exceptionally terrified.
Between the two cubs, the little rabbit looked very much like Yun Yingzhi. Perhaps because of this, Yun Yinghui viewed the rabbit cub through a heavy filter. Even so, he subtly felt as if the rabbit cub was bullying the egg cub.
No, no, no.
The little rabbit was just a fragile little cub; how could it possibly break an incubator? Clearly, it was just the poor quality of the incubator itself.

After a moment of bewilderment, the rabbit cub blinked its large, obsidian eyes and looked up at Yun Yinghui.
Man and cub locked gazes.
The rabbit cubâs tiny body swayed, and then it fell over weakly on its back. It let out a milky, fragile “da,” looking utterly small and helpless.
Yun Yinghui: “…”
Yun Yinghui reached out to scoop up the egg cub hiding in the corner of the incubator before contacting the nurse to have the incubator replaced.
Soon, the nurse arrived with a new incubator, asking in confusion, “How did this incubator break so suddenly?”
While they spoke, Yun Yinghui held the rabbit cub in one hand and the egg cub in the other.
The rabbit cub blinked and, seizing the opportunity, lunged toward the egg cub in Yun Yinghuiâs other hand.
Yun Yinghuiâs eyelids jumped. He thought the rabbit cub just wanted to play with the egg cub, so after a momentâs hesitation, he placed the two together.
Almost instantly, the egg cub rolled and rolled until it reached the edge of Yun Yinghuiâs palm.
With a “da,” the rabbit cubâs tiny body rolled after it.
The egg cub seemed a bit angry, and spatial fluctuations began to ripple around its shell, only to be immediately suppressed by the rabbit cubâs space-sealing ability.
The nurse, being a normal person, couldn’t sense the ability fluctuations surrounding the two cubs. She said, “Fortunately, the egg baby wasn’t hurt.”
Yun Yinghui didnât breathe a word about how the incubator was actually damaged. He said softly, “Please put a thicker cushion inside.” The egg cub loved to bounce around too much. Every time he saw it bouncing recklessly, he was deathly afraid the egg would crack.
The nurse thought the request was a bit strange, but she didn’t ask questions and simply laid down a very thick cushion.
Looking back at the two little fellows in Yun Yinghuiâs hand…
The rabbit cubâs entire tiny body was now draped over the egg cub.
Yun Yinghuiâs eyelids twitched. He could feel the egg cub in his hand…
Well, it was shivering.
What a cowardly little egg cub.
The rabbit cub gave the egg cub an affectionate lick.
Seeing as small animals often groomed their young, Yun Yinghui believed the rabbit cubâs licking was a sign of deep, profound love for its sibling.
Yun Yinghui chose to selectively forget what had happened moments ago. He gently stroked the rabbit cub and said softly, “Little Jiaojiao, I know you like little Taotao, but Taotao can only hatch quickly inside the incubator. Let go of Taotao, okay?”
The rabbit cub didn’t want to let go, but under Yun Yinghuiâs gentle strength, it was forced apart from its “beloved” sibling.
The rabbit cub didn’t get angry either; it just lay in Yun Yinghuiâs hand, looking fragile, helpless, and utterly pitiable.
However, when Yun Yinghui wasn’t looking, the rabbit cub turned to the egg cub and let out an “ao!”
Yun Yinghui: “Jiaojiao?”
The rabbit cub paused, then responded in a soft, milky voice, “Da.”
Yun Yinghui couldn’t help but stroke the rabbit cub again, thinking the little fellow was simply the most adorable, softest thing ever.
The egg cub bounced twice in the incubator in anger, a faint spatial fluctuation rising, only to be suppressed by the rabbit cub in the next instant.
It failed every single time; the “fragile” rabbit cub perfectly countered the “naughty” egg cub.
Yun Yinghui discovered something very wonderful.
As a Level 9 ability warrior, even he couldn’t guarantee capturing every single ripple of spatial energyâafter all, one couldn’t guard against a “thief” for a thousand days. Yet the rabbit cub was clearly exceptionally sensitive to spatial fluctuations.
The egg cub likely desperately wanted to find its father, occasionally creating ripples in space, but the rabbit cub was even faster than Yun Yinghui, always accurately interrupting the egg cubâs reckless behavior.
Yun Yinghui thought that compared to the egg cub, the rabbit cub was clearly much better behaved.

If Nangong Qing and the others didn’t return the rabbit cub to Yun Yinghui immediately, he might “accidentally” relieve himself on their hands.
Nangong Qing timed it perfectly and handed the rabbit cub back to Yun Yinghui.
One moment, the rabbit cub looked like it was about to burst into tears; the next, it was full of energy, rolling over in Yun Yinghuiâs palm. It glanced at the egg cub and once again precisely sealed the space.
This was the first time Nangong Qing and the others had seen the rabbit cubâs impressive ability, and they all let out gasps of wonder.
The rabbit cub didn’t understand the adults’ words at all. Its large eyes remained fixed on the egg cub as it let out another “ao!”
The egg cub rolled and rolled until it reached the edge of the glass window.
Nangong Qing looked at the rabbit cub and said, “Why does little Jiaojiao make that sound?”
Before Yun Yinghui could answer, the rabbit cub turned its obsidian eyes toward Nangong Qing and gave a soft “da.”
Jia Qingwan picked up the rabbit cub that had rolled to the glass and said, “I wonder if itâs just my imagination, but it seems Jiaojiao always says ‘ao’ to Taotao and ‘da’ to us?”
Following Jia Qingwanâs words, everyone in the room turned their gazes toward the rabbit cub.
The rabbit cub didn’t understand what they were saying, but he knew they were calling him “Jiaojiao.” Hearing his name, he gave another soft “da.”
About a minute later, the rabbit cub began to look like he was going to cry. Jia Qingwan quickly tucked him back into Yun Yinghuiâs hands.
Back in its familiar environment, the rabbit cub looked at the egg cub and let out another “ao.”
Jia Qingwan couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Nangong Qing poked the rabbit cubâs forehead. “You little ‘pampered thing’ bullying Taotao.”
The rabbit cub tilted its head toward Nangong Qing and gave another “da.”
Inside the incubator, the egg cub bounced.
The rabbit cubâs eyes lit up as it looked at the egg cub, its cry clearly excited. “Da!?”
Jia Qingwan exclaimed, “Wow, Jiaojiao said ‘da’ to Taotao?”
“Do they seem to be communicating?” Nangong Qing marveled.
Jia Qingwan was incredibly curious. “What are the two cubs saying?”
Nangong Qing said, “Do they seem to have reached some kind of agreement?”
