Chapter 3: Heiye Senlin
Currently, Nan Yu was a Middle-Level Jingshenli Zhe. Their father was a High-Level Yineng Zhe, and one of those who ranked quite high even on the Capital Star.
Even so, Nan Yu was capable of dissipating his father’s mental pollution all by himself.

Nan Yu stepped off the aircraft, not even glancing at Bai Zhouyun who followed behind him.

The aircraft was parked in a plaza specifically for that purpose nearby, and the entrance to the Heiye Senlin was not far away.
The surrounding walls were built by the government at a massive cost, encircling the entire forest to ensure no one could sneak inside.
Moreover, to prevent people from feigning compliance while breaking the rules, the government had secretly placed many mobile monitors inside the forest. Bai Zhouyun looked at Nan Yu’s back with a bit of confusion. He felt that Nan Yu was a bit cold today. Usually, the boy would always be chatting and laughing with him, and the atmosphere between them was excellent.
But from the moment Bai Zhouyun arrived at the Nan house this morning until now, he hadn’t felt Nan Yu’s affection for him. The boy had been icy the whole time, and it truly made his heart feel uneasy.
“Xiao Yu?”

“How could that be? I just hadn’t fully woken up earlier. Alright, stop dawdling, let’s get inside quickly. Once we’re in, remember you have to protect me well, okay?”
No matter how powerful Nan Yu was, he was still a relatively fragile mental power user, while Bai Zhouyun—no matter how weak—was still a Middle-Level Yineng Zhe. His combat power was still much stronger than Nan Yu’s.
Hearing this, Bai Zhouyun’s eyes lit up. “I know, I know! I’ll definitely protect you. Don’t you worry, Xiao Yu!”
