Part 2
The Emperor and Empress had to consider Elvis’s feelings.
Emperor Arlyn let out a soft breath.
The Empress’s brow furrowed as he looked down at the soft, milky rabbit cub in his hands.
Sensing the Empress’s gaze, the rabbit cub was a bit unhappy. He turned his head away with a huff and let out an “Ao.”
It was exactly this cub, so full of “tea-scented” acting skills, that the Empress adored. He didn’t want to let go of the little rabbit at all.
Compared to Elvis’s second form, the Empress preferred this kind of fluffy cub. In the past, he hadn’t been able to pet a fluffy one, and now he desperately wanted to.
The rabbit cub tried to struggle in the Empress’s hands, but he couldn’t win. He looked at the icy Yun Yinghui and let out another “Ao” at the Empress.
Emperor Arlyn said, “Colonel Yun, so your meaning is that everything depends on the future between Elvis and your brother?”
Yun Yinghui: “Yes, Your Majesty.”
Emperor Arlyn looked at the Empress.
Holding the little rabbit, the Empress fell silent for a moment before saying, “But I have a requirement.”
Yun Yinghui: “Your Highness, please speak.”
The rabbit cub met the Empress’s gaze and let out another angry “Ao.”
The Empress said, “From now on, bring the two little babies to the palace every day.”
“…” Yun Yinghui was momentarily incredulous. After a silence, he said, “Are you joking?”
Empress: “No, I am very serious.”
Yun Yinghui: “That is impossible. I do not intend to let my brother know that Your Majesty and Your Highness have seen these two children.”
The Empress frowned.
“As Your Majesty and Your Highness know, my brother’s second form is a little white rabbit. He has been fragile since childhood and cannot take any blows,” Yun Yinghui said solemnly.
Hearing this, Emperor Arlyn and the Empress both turned their gazes toward the little rabbit.
Instantly, the seemingly very fragile rabbit cub became the center of everyone’s attention.
The Emperor and Empress thought to themselves: Indeed, what a fragile little cub. Well, on the surface, he certainly looks that way.
Yun Yingzhi was the person Elvis liked. They had a slight understanding of him; they hadn’t specifically investigated, letting everything take its natural course.
In their impression, Yun Yingzhi was a very beautiful person, but one filled with a sense of “fragility.”
They had seen his photos—standing under the sunlight, wearing the Fanse Academy uniform, looking straight ahead with slightly curled black hair and obsidian eyes, and…
Because of his overly beautiful appearance, he looked like he would break at a touch under the light and shadow.
They were actually quite surprised that Elvis would like someone like that.
Thinking of Yun Yingzhi’s limited endurance, the Empress compromised: “In one week, I must see the two babies at least three times.”
Yun Yinghui continued to haggle: “I can only say I will try my best; I cannot guarantee it. However, I will do my best to ensure it is no less than twice.”
The Empress frowned.
Yun Yinghui added, “In exchange, Your Majesty, Your Highness, please grant me one condition.”
Emperor Arlyn said, “Speak.”
Yun Yinghui clenched his fist, his gaze sharp as he suppressed his killing intent. “I do not wish for the Crown Prince to know about the two babies.”
Emperor Arlyn fell silent.
Yun Yinghui continued, “Children should not be used as leverage to sway another’s emotions. That would be unfair to my brother.”
The Empress looked at the rabbit cub in his hands and said softly, “I agree to this condition.”
Yun Yinghui added, “…And, Your Majesty, Your Highness, if Elvis is in the palace, I will absolutely not bring them here.”
Empress: “…”
The Empress’s eyelids twitched. Having two newborn cubs, he didn’t really want his son around anymore. He was already thinking: how could he subtly ensure Elvis didn’t return to the palace during the holidays?
Emperor Arlyn looked at the Empress.
The Empress nodded, agreeing to Yun Yinghui’s request.
Suddenly, the Empress’s mouth twitched as he looked at the rabbit cub in his hands.
The little rabbit was likely too angry and directly relieved himself on the Empress’s hand.
However, the Empress didn’t get angry. He took a handkerchief from a maid and gently cleaned the cub up.
Yun Yinghui tactfully explained that he wanted to take the two cubs and leave now, but he was immediately refused by the Empress.
The Empress asked Yun Yinghui what business he had.
Yun Yinghui gave several reasons, all of which were rejected.
Out of necessity, Yun Yinghui stayed in the palace with the cubs for a short while.
Emperor Arlyn ordered someone to bring an incubator.
Yun Yinghui personally placed the egg cub inside.
Seeing this, the rabbit cub struggled even harder in the Empress’s hands, “Ao-ing” back and forth. Having no choice, the Empress had to let him go.
The rabbit cub immediately moved toward Yun Yinghui, grabbed onto his leg, then crawled up inside his trouser leg.
Yun Yinghui didn’t know whether to laugh or cry as he struggled to pull the rabbit cub out.
The rabbit cub then climbed up Yun Yinghui’s arm, crawling straight into his collar to scuttle around—the same place the egg cub had hidden before.
The egg cub was a bit angry and bounced twice in the incubator.
Emperor Arlyn put the incubator on his lap, opened his personal terminal, and played a cartoon for the egg cub.
Clearly, the Empress and Yun Yinghui preferred the rabbit cub, while Emperor Arlyn preferred the egg cub. His gaze was almost glued to the little egg.
The rabbit cub looked at the egg cub curiously, then at Emperor Arlyn. After a thought, he looked at Yun Yinghui with an expectant gaze.
After obtaining permission from the Emperor and Empress, Yun Yinghui also played a cartoon for the rabbit cub.
The two cubs clearly didn’t understand it, but they quieted down once the cartoon started playing.
Yun Yinghui spoke with the two most noble people in the Empire.
Suddenly, the Empress said, “Speaking of which, the preliminary rounds of the Star Glory Competition are about to end.”
Yun Yinghui thought of Yun Yingzhi. He wondered how he was doing now—had he already manufactured his Source Weapon?
The Empress said, “A13167.”
Yun Yinghui froze for a moment, thinking the Empress might already know that Contestant A13167 was Yun Yingzhi himself. He looked toward the Empress.
In the next moment, he heard him say, “I wonder if he came to the preliminaries today.”
Yun Yinghui: “…”
So, the Emperor and Empress didn’t yet know that Contestant A13167 was Yun Yingzhi.
Thinking about it, it made sense. Compared to the countless Source Weapon masters in the Los Empire, Yun Yingzhi’s impressive performance in the initial rounds was, at the end of the day, only with a Level 4 weapon.
That alone wasn’t enough to attract Emperor Arlyn’s attention.
At the Empress’s command, a projection screen opened at the front of the hall, directly entering the livestream of the first arena for the Star Glory Competition preliminaries.
The projection screen was massive, cutting the first arena into nine sections.
The Empress was clearly very skilled at this, clicking directly into one of the areas.
When the tile enlarged, Yun Yinghui saw Yun Yingzhi.
Today, Yun Yingzhi was still wearing his Red Peony three-piece set.
Through the video projection, one could see that Yun Yingzhi wasn’t manufacturing a weapon at the moment. Instead, he was sitting in place with his control panel open in “hidden mode,” likely designing a Source Weapon.
From the barrage, Yun Yinghui learned that Yun Yingzhi had arrived at the arena on time in the morning and had been designing ever since, not yet entering the manufacturing phase.
Looking at the video projection, the Empress asked Yun Yinghui, “Colonel Yun, what do you think of this Source Weapon master?”
