The Straight Man Is A Heartthrob Again Chapter 28

Chapter 28: Livestreaming and Simps

The moment Chu Yang went offline, Black’s headset was ripped off his head—

“Holy crap, he actually agreed! Dammit, so there are perks to watching his stream on a main account. Bring us along later; I want to play with him too.”

It had started when Black, out of boredom, scrolled into Chu Yang’s livestream room. He had been watching so intently that he didn’t realize his teammates had returned, and he was caught red-handed.

After teasing him for a while, they snatched Black’s phone away. They wanted to see just how good this streamer was at the game. One look, and they were stunned.

“Holy shit, he must have a beauty filter on. How can he be this good-looking? This white?”

One of them wanted to say he looked a bit feminine, but after looking closer, the words wouldn’t come out. Chu Yang was indeed thin and fair, but his face wasn’t “weak.” His bone structure and features were superb; when he lifted his eyes, there was a touch of aggression. He was actually quite handsome.

From a certain angle, he even had a bit of… a “world-weary” face! Yes!

In the end, the teammate just muttered, “Pretty boy.”

They watched as intently as Black, looking at both his face and his mechanics. Whenever Chu Yang successfully ambushed someone, his lips would curve into a smile, looking like a little fox that had stolen a chicken.

It made their throats go dry.

Afterward, they all registered alt accounts to enter Chu Yang’s room. No one who watched Chu Yang stream didn’t want to play with him, so they all showered him with gifts.

But their team was truly unlucky; none of them had been picked by Chu Yang so far.

They could only comfort themselves by saying they were saving all their luck for the tournament. But seeing Black get to play with Chu Yang now made them green with envy.

“No way, I’m going to use my main account to go to his stream too!”

“You shameless bastard, that’s harassment. I’m going to go harass him too!”

“Crap! The whole world is going to know our team is gay soon.”

“Loving a straight man is my destiny…”

Black ignored their complaints. He had already started a game, planning to get his mechanics warmed up so he wouldn’t embarrass himself in front of Chu Yang later.

Over here, Chu Yang put on a puffer jacket and changed his shoes. He went into the courtyard to snip off the dead leaves from the trees and flowers, then sprayed some disinfectant.

The puffer jacket was orange, which didn’t quite match his silk pajama pants, but it was very cute. In the bulky, bright jacket, holding his little shears with his hair neatly flat, he looked like a character straight out of an anime.

His legs were thin and spindly. Chu Yuanzhou looked at him and said, “Go inside and play your games. I can finish this quickly.”

Chu Yang glanced at him without a word and snip, cut off another leaf.

Chu Yuanzhou: “…Are you mad at me?”

“You’re overthinking it. It’s freezing. Hurry up and finish so we can go inside.” After saying that, he quickly tucked his pointed chin into his collar.

Chu Yuanzhou wasn’t particularly cold, but Chu Yang was sensitive to both heat and cold. Before long, his knuckles and fingertips were turning red from the chill.

Chu Yuanzhou walked over, gathered Chu Yang’s fingertips in his hands, and gave them a squeeze. “Go inside.”

“I’ll be done in a bit. You hurry up.” Chu Yang gave him a push and turned back to his snip-snip. It was as if he’d become addicted to pruning.

Chu Yuanzhou could only speed up. He finished shortly after. Chu Yang took the tools back inside, while Chu Yuanzhou took the bucket to dump the fallen leaves into the large trash bin outside.

Chu Yang went straight upstairs to his room. After washing his hands and face, he turned on his computer and logged into his account. He was still wearing the same pajamas. The V-neck collar overlapped, dipping slightly in the middle; combined with his fair skin, it was hard for anyone to look away.

He didn’t need to adjust the camera; it was always fixed in the same spot. He started the stream.

He picked a few unread messages on his phone to reply to, then asked [Black] to send him his game ID. He rubbed his hands together before finally logging into the game.

[Goddammit, this angle is even better! I love it!!! This angle paired with the pajamas is so smooth. Just a little lower and I’m really going to start sucking. ^^]

[Although the tissue box angle lets me see Hubby’s jawline, this angle is clearly more suited for me. Wifey, look at how fierce you are. /Horny.jpg]

[So this is what the pajamas look like from this angle. So white… hehe… so soft…]

Chu Yang copied [Black]’s ID, searched, and added him as a friend. Then, he pulled him into the lobby, put on his headset, and turned on his microphone. “Can you hear me?”

There wasn’t an immediate response. After a pause, a deep voice rang out: “…I can hear you.”

“…My teammates want to play with you too. Is that okay?”

Chu Yang wasn’t sure if it was his imagination, but the sentence sounded a bit like it was spoken through gritted teeth. He nodded. “Sure.”

A five-man queue. They would mostly encounter other five-man stacks. They might be random recruits or established teams with synergy; the difficulty would be higher. But it didn’t matter; Black and his teammates should have good coordination.

After both sides banned three heroes each, it was time for the pick phase.

Black: “Which hero do you want to play? I see you play Jungle often. Hover your pick and I’ll grab it for you.”

Chu Yang: “I saw the comments saying you’re a better Jungler. I’ll play Mid; I haven’t played it in a while.”

Before Black could speak, another teammate chimed in immediately: “Then I’ll grab the Mage for you!”

Chu Yang: “Thanks.”

After entering the game, Chu Yang controlled Xiao Qiao and walked to the middle lane. He cleared the wave quickly to hit level two, then followed the river to clear the small jungle boars. He glanced at the red buff and said, “They’re starting blue.”

The Support immediately said, “Let’s steal the red together.”

Then, the deer girl directly abandoned the Marksman and waddled toward him. The two of them stole the [Red]. Chu Yang returned to the middle lane, cleared the second wave, and hit level four.

He had just rotated to the top lane to assist when a “Mad Dog” lunged out, swinging a blade at his head. Chu Yang’s brows knitted; he dropped his second skill at his feet to knock the enemy up, then pressed his third skill and dash almost simultaneously to distance himself. In an instant, the “Mad Dog” was airborne, pummeled by a sky full of falling stars until his health was halved.

With one more cast of his first skill, Chu Yang secured the kill!

[First Blood!]

At the same time, except for the two in the bottom lane, almost everyone had converged on the top lane.

The Support charged straight in front of Chu Yang to tank damage, while the Jungler squared off against the enemy Mid-laner.

The Marksman was left all alone, besieged by the enemy Marksman and Support. Chu Yang was fighting on two fronts and couldn’t look after him.

Marksman: “Crap, crap, crap! Where’s my support!? I’m gonna die! Give me a heal, ahhhh!”

Support: “I didn’t bring Heal.”

Marksman: “Shield, shield, shield, ah—”

Support: “Not enough gold. No shield yet.”

Just as the Marksman was about to be poked to death, Chu Yang used Flash to block for him. The Marksman’s health bar was practically invisible; he immediately sprinted back under the turret to recall, not daring to delay a second. His face was burning; he felt incredibly embarrassed.

Especially after seeing Chu Yang get a Triple Kill in the top lane, he glared at the Support and whispered, “How is this different from selling me out? Is this how you coordinate with me?”

“Bringing Sprint! Just so it’s easier for you to rush to the middle lane, right!”

The Support chuckled, not denying it. “This isn’t a tournament. It’s rare we get to play for fun; of course I’ll follow whoever I want. Who says a Support has to follow the Marksman?”

Chu Yang heard everything clearly. He let out a small smile and returned to the middle lane to farm.

This rotation was pure profit.

In his downtime while jungling, Black stole a glance at Chu Yang’s stream. Seeing him smile made his face burn with shame. He knitted his brows and hissed in a low voice, “Don’t you two feel ashamed?”

The Marksman certainly felt ashamed, but then he thought—it wasn’t a mechanical misplay on his part, and Chu Yang had used Flash to save him!

As he cleared the minions, he raised his voice. “Luckily Chu Yang saved me. Look at him; he clears his wave and comes straight to the top lane to gank for me, he even blocked a shot.”

“How about we swap phones? I can play Support too.”

Support: “You freaking wish. Just stay safe in the top lane.”

As he spoke, he ran back to find Chu Yang.

Chu Yang cleared the wave and ambushed near the dragon pit. The enemy Mid-laner was playing safe, not daring to come out and fight him, returning to the turret after clearing minions. It was obvious they were going to rotate to the Clash lane through their own jungle, worried Chu Yang was camping them.

Through the Support’s wandering, Chu Yang saw the enemy’s path. He wasn’t angry about failing the ambush. While the two Clash-laners were trading, he hid in the brush next to the defensive turret. The enemy Mid wasn’t stupid; they had long range and checked the brush directly.

Chu Yang took a hit but didn’t retreat. He opened his Ultimate, rushed up, and followed with a 2-1 combo. A one-shot kill!

Seeing Chu Yang reveal himself, the enemy bottom-laner immediately hugged the wall and hid under their turret, worried Chu Yang would dive for a kill.

Chu Yang only had half health and had no such intention. He followed the Support, who had come to meet him, and began to chip away at the middle turret.

The enemy “Mad Dog,” perhaps seeing his low health, charged straight at him. He successfully nearly killed Chu Yang, but the Support used their Ultimate to resurrect Chu Yang’s Xiao Qiao. The “Mad Dog” fell once again.

Chu Yang recalled to base. The Support recalled with him, using a “taunting” recall effect. This time, the enemy “Mad Dog” really went mad.

Especially after seeing Black help Chu Yang take the blue buff, knowing they were going to take the enemy’s blue next.

Mad Dog: [Support, why aren’t you following the Marksman?]

[You’ve been protecting the Mid the whole way. The Marksman is playing like a dog in the top lane, but you ignore him to follow the Mid all over the map and camp people.]

[Jungler, look at your own economy. You’re even giving the blue to the Mid. Are you guys boosting a rich beauty or something?]

[What is your relationship, exactly?]

Their entire team was V10; each account had at least 20,000 RMB spent on it. There was no need for them to coddle someone like this. These words were clearly meant to be demeaning.

None of them expected the Clash-laner to reply: [A relationship of simps.]

Even Black and his team were a bit startled. They weren’t new to encountering salty people like this, and sometimes they even ran into teammates like that.

In solo queue, some people saw the V10 tag and demanded skin sharing, otherwise they’d throw the game.

That was why they mostly played as a team. If they were really bored and wanted to solo, they used alts.

Black and the others quickly followed suit. They were from the same team; they shared the same “shameless” streak.

Black: [A few hundred bucks per game. Of course I have to make him happy.]

Marksman: [The Mid is a rich beauty. He comes onto the field with four simps. We’re all here voluntarily. Except the Jungler, who’s here for the money. That’s how impotent men are.]

Support: [We’re all here voluntarily, except the Jungler. V10 has something to say: From today on, the Support follows Chu Yang.]

Black: “??? Are you guys insane?”

Chu Yang couldn’t help but let out a laugh when he saw this. “Your teammates are quite interesting.”

It was a bit funny.

“…” Black was too embarrassed to say they had spent too much time reading Chu Yang’s fan comments.

He coughed. “I’m not impotent.”

Chu Yang: “Huh? You don’t really need to tell me that.”

Black: …I want to go offline and beat my teammates up right now!
