Chapter 3: He isâa Xiongchong
Jiang Xu surveyed the first floor and walked straight to the sofa to sit down.
Immediately after, he saw the other man lower his body and kneel before him.
“…” Jiang Xu.
This world seemed to really love kneeling to others.
A trace of emotion appeared in his eyesâa feeling called helplessness.
“Stand up and speak.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, he saw a flash of surprise on the man’s face. It vanished quickly, but he caught it nonetheless.
It seemed he had said something wrong.
Jiang Xu subconsciously pursed his lips, his gaze remaining steady.
Fei quickly gathered his emotions and murmured, “Yes, Xiongzhu.”
Looking at the man standing up from the floor, Jiang Xu ignored his minor movements. After thinking for a moment, he asked the least suspicious question possible: “Fei Walker, tell me about your life experiences from childhood until now, from start to finish.”
“???” Fei was a bit surprised. Why would this bug be asking about this?
Could it be…
He used his peripheral vision to glance at the position of his wings behind him, and his gaze slowly turned cold. “Yes, Xiongzhu.”
Jiang Xu heard the title again. The person in front of him clearly had a relationship with him that wasn’t simple.
Xiong (Male), generally used for animals in the biological world, corresponding to “man.” Zhu (Master/Lord), owner? Male Master?
Before he could think deeper, the other man slowly recounted his experiences. The speaker felt nothing, but to Jiang Xu, the words were like one thunderclap after another.
He and the bug before himâwere a married couple!
The shock in his eyes couldn’t be hidden, though it was quickly suppressed.
The world he was in was actually composed of bugs.
That’s right, bugs. All bugs.
At this thought, he carefully sized up the bug in front of him.
He looked exactly like a human.
If one had to say what was different…
His gaze slowly landed on the man’s eyes. He had thought the man was wearing decorative contact lenses, but it seemed this was his original appearance.
The eyes were more like a lazy cat’s. Although the entire pupil was circular, a closer look revealed that the center of the pupil was an elliptical vertical slit.
…
His worldview crumbled inch by inch, reconstructed, crumbled again, and reconstructed again in a continuous cycle…
Fei silently observed Jiang Xu, waiting for the man to deliver a painful blow. However, after waiting for a long time, no command came from the Xiongchong.
Seeing the man’s gaze grow heavier as he spoke, Fei was stunned.
He carefully recalled his answer just now and found nothing wrong with it, so he closed his mouth and stood silently to the side, waiting.
Time passed very, very slowly, as if a century had gone by. Finally, Jiang Xu accepted his current identity.
He had been a human for twenty-seven years. Now, he had become a bug! A Xiongchong!
He lowered his head and looked at his hands. How did this look like a bug?
After pondering for a long while, noticing that the streetlights outside had also dimmed, he slowly ordered, “You, go and rest.”
He wasn’t going to be able to sleep tonight.
Fei glanced at him again and replied cautiously, “Yes.”
The Xiongchongâs state had been very strange all night, but right now, he felt fortunate that he could escape a disaster. The tension he had been holding in also slowly relaxed.
The later it happened, the better.
He returned to the second floor and walked toward his room as usual. After passing the master bedroom, his footsteps paused: the man hadn’t told him which room to rest in.
Fei looked down at the bug sitting motionless on the sofa for a while. After hesitating for a long time and thinking about the Xiongchongâs orders when he had first returned…
Resigned, he glanced at the door of the guest bedroom, then silently retreated to the master bedroom door, opened it, and walked in.
Jiang Xu stared listlessly into the endless darkness, lost in thought. After an unknown amount of time, he stood up and brushed off non-existent dust. Since things had already turned out this way, he might as well adapt to the environment.
He took a long breath. His current concern should be not letting any bug discover that he wasn’t the original owner.
That Cichong named Fei had met him for the first time today, so there was no risk of being exposed there.
However, the elders and friends of this Xiongchong were a significant ticking time bomb.
Thinking as he walked, he unknowingly returned to the door of the master bedroom.
Whatever it was, heâd think about it tomorrow. There had been too much information today. He needed to clear his head.
He opened the door and glanced into the dim room. The mess on the floor had already been neatly placed on a side table.
He didn’t need to think to know that, so far, there was no one in this house besides him and that bug named Fei.
Since it wasn’t him, it naturally could only have been the other party.
He closed the door, walked into the bathroom by the dim light, and took a quick shower. After washing, he froze.
He cursed silently. He had forgotten to bring a change of clothes.
Butâhe looked at the clothes he had tossed aside.
To wear them? Or not?
In the end, Jiang Xu walked out of the bathroom completely naked.
It was his first time being totally nude, and the feeling was indescribably bizarre. He felt uncomfortable all over.
With a neutral expression, he looked at the only lit wall lamp in the room. He walked over with steady steps, as if he were attending a national CEO summit.
The warm yellow light by the bed shone on the mattress, falling between the gaps of the bed curtains.
Jiang Xu lifted the covers and lay down. His body sank into the soft bedding. Mm, very soft. He felt like he was being enveloped.
He couldn’t understand the original owner’s tastes. He shifted his body slightly, and after finding a comfortable position, he reached out to turn off the light and closed his eyes.
Fei, who was only a meter away from Jiang Xu, felt his cheeks burning. His heart couldn’t stop pounding.
Zerg vision was naturally excellent, especially for Junci. He had opened his eyes the moment the Xiongchong opened the door, so…
Inevitably, everything the man had just done had fallen into his eyes.
It wasn’t until the man closed his eyes that Fei suddenly reacted and shut his eyes tightly, trying to erase that scene from his mind.
However, the temperature of his face and his trembling eyelashes betrayed his current emotions.
Jiang Xuâs consciousness gradually blurred. By the time he was completely asleep, he still hadn’t discovered that there was another bug beside him.
The next morning.
Jiang Xu’s biological clock went off, and he slowly woke from his deep sleep.
Suddenly, he felt something was wrong. Very wrong!
Under his palm was a patch of warmthâsoft and smooth. His palm slid slowly over it, encountering a slight obstruction, like the marks left after a wound had healed.
How did Fei, who shouldn’t have been there, end up in his arms?
His eyes, still half-asleep, snapped open. He looked into his arms in disbeliefâat that completely naked body! Fei Walker!
He clearly felt their limbs under the covers, tangled together like a dead knot.
What was going on!!!
He saw Fei staring at him, shock flashing in the manâs eyes.
Fei saw the man’s emotions clearly, including that momentarily stiff hand.
He had woken up long ago. Because Junci needed to be ready for battle at all times, they were light sleepers.
Who would have thought that in the middle of the night, while in a daze, he would be pulled entirely into the man’s arms? How could he possibly keep sleeping?
After the initial shock, the man quickly released the hand on his body.
Fei immediately flipped over and climbed up, kneeling upright on the bed. “Xiongzhu.”
It seemed that last night, the man had actually meant for him to return to his own room.
Thinking that most Xiongchong were moody and unpredictable, the originally ambiguous atmosphere turned cold.
“…” Jiang Xu.
The original owner’s temper seemed to be very bad. His thoughts couldn’t help but drift back to the scene he had witnessed last night.
Indeed, no normal person would do such a thing.
“You…” Jiang Xu paused for a moment before finally asking, “You were here last night?”
“Yes.”
When the man’s words fell, Fei felt a sense of hopeless resignation.
A surge of inexplicable emotion swirled in Jiang Xu’s heart.
“Last night…” He had wanted to ask why he hadn’t seen him, but at this point, asking was useless.
He shut his mouth after those two words.
He didn’t know how much the other party had seen last night. Forget it; they were legally a couple anyway.
If he saw, he saw.
He looked at the current, slightly awkward situation. “Go find me a change of clothes.”
