Chapter 66: Ning Qian Buys an Air Conditioner for Yu Deng
Yu Deng was surprised and shocked, not understanding why Qiao Fangyu and the others had come.
He just wanted to open the door, his hand already on the doorknob, but he suddenly snapped awake and retracted his hand as if it had been burned.
No, he still had many marks on his body.
If Qiao Fangyu and the others saw them, he definitely wouldn’t be able to explain it.
Then how could he continue being vain? How could he have a foot in both camps?
“Wa… wait! I haven’t put on clothes yet!”
“Just a moment~”
Outside the door, the three men heard the pleasant voice and then thought of Yu Deng’s words which were like a hook.
It was like coaxing dogs, but it was exactly what coaxed the three of them into losing their direction.
They hadn’t even entered the door, and they hadn’t seen the person’s face yet, but they were already letting their imaginations run wild.
Dengdeng actually doesn’t wear clothes at home!
Summer pajamas were already light and thin, exposing arms and legs. If he wasn’t wearing them, he must only be wearing a pair of…
Little underwear!
Damn it, wouldn’t he have been seen completely by that dog-thing?
Yu Deng was beautiful and well-behaved, a little white rabbit, yet he lived in the den of a big black wolf. He feared that sooner or later, he would be eaten up as prey.
How could that be allowed?!
In an instant, the three of them each had their own thoughts, but they all wanted to become heroes and rescue Yu Deng.
The lower half of his body was fine; Yu Deng put on a pair of long pants, and those bruised red marks from intimacy on the base of his thighs and ankles couldn’t be seen.
But the hickeys on his neck were truly too terrifying and dense. He put on a collared shirt, but it still didn’t cover them completely.
Forget it, he would just say… say he had a cold.
Yu Deng’s legs were still soft. He trembled with every step, wanting to kneel on the ground.
He opened the door, and the three men outside immediately vied to squeeze into the narrow doorframe.
“Dengdeng…”
Ning Qian wanted to squeeze in first, so he shoved Qiao Fangyu to the left and poked Qiao Haoyu to the right.
The other two weren’t to be outdone either.
Overt and covert struggles ensued, their expressions almost twisting.
Yu Deng: “…Alright, stop pushing the door! Are you coming in or not?”
Don’t break his door; he would have to pay for it.
After being scolded by Yu Deng with a tense face, the three of them immediately became well-behaved and orderly.
Qiao Fangyu nervously tugged at his satchel and walked to Yu Deng’s side, unable to suppress his joy and palpitations.
“Dengdeng, I came to find you.”
Like a little dog wagging its tail.
Yu Deng looked at the three men in front of him, surrounding him. They were dark and imposing, giving him a bit of a surreal feeling.
“How did you know where I live?”
Qiao Fangyu was nearly a head taller than Yu Deng. He bent his back and head, his gaze gentle.
“You called me after moving to your new home the day before yesterday. I noted down the number and asked around in this area.”
He just asked if there was a beautiful boy who had recently moved in, along with a fierce-looking man.
The families in the residential buildings all knew each other well, and there weren’t many people renting, so it was easy to find out.
Yu Deng hadn’t expected it to be that simple.
“Oh.”
His legs were soft; he wanted to lie paralyzed on the sofa. Just as he was about to move, his arm was suddenly grabbed by Ning Qian.
“Dengdeng!”
Ning Qian pulled too urgently. Yu Deng’s calves were still trembling and he had no strength at all. After his body turned half a circle, he actually fell toward the ground.
But because his body was soft, he swayed as he fell, moving lightly and slowly. Overall, the impact wasn’t great; instead, it looked a bit like he was intentionally extorting someone.
But Yu Deng was truly in pain.
It hurt~
He was simply too weak to take care of himself.
“What are you doing?”
“Why did you push him?”
Seeing Yu Deng pushed down by Ning Qian, Qiao Fangyu’s anger surged immediately. He ruthlessly shoved the person away and then went to help the dazed and muddled Yu Deng up from the ground.
“Deng—”
Qiao Fangyu’s voice stopped abruptly.
Clearly, he had also caught a glimpse of the amorous scenery on Yu Deng’s neck.
After being helped up, Yu Deng took the opportunity to lie down on the sofa.
His hand even felt his bottom, rubbing the flesh that had been bumped just now.
His clear, bottomless gaze held resentment, his indignation flaring into small sparks. Immediately, he began to hold Ning Qian accountable for his fault.
“Why did you push me?”
Ning Qian had indeed been anxious just now and knew he had made a mistake. With no way to explain himself, he stepped forward, knelt in front of Yu Deng, and apologized uneasily.
“Dengdeng, I didn’t mean to. I’m sorry. I saw you had injuries on your neck and got anxious for a moment.”
Qiao Fangyu also paid special attention to the bruises on Yu Deng’s neck: “That’s right, Dengdeng, what happened to your neck?”
“Did Zhou Yuejun hit you?”
“Are there other injuries on your body? Let me see.”
Having said that, the three of them all rushed forward.
Yu Deng hugged himself firmly and patted around randomly: “No touching me!”
He was fierce, but not very threatening. However, he was very resistant, so the three of them retracted their hands sheepishly, looking at Yu Deng nervously.
Yu Deng felt a bit guilty being watched, but he still stiffened his neck and lied with the excuse he had thought of.
“It wasn’t from being hit; it was from being pinched. I had a fever, so he used a folk remedy to pinch me, saying it was effective.”
The young boy actually wasn’t very good at lying, but after he finished speaking, he huffed as if he were very angry.
A not-very-clever trick encountered three people who were exceptionally worried about his illness.
Qiao Haoyu caught a glimpse of the bruises on Yu Deng’s slender, weak neck and was distressed to death: “Who treats an illness like this?”
The other two weren’t to be outdone either.
“Exactly! If you’re sick, isn’t it better to take medicine or get an injection? How can someone be tortured like this?”
Such a fair person, with such a thin and fragile neck, yet it had to be pinched until his body was covered in bruises—it was truly a suffering.
Without needing to think, Ning Qian knew that when Yu Deng was being pinched, he must have been covered in tears, crystal-clear pearls pitter-pattering down.
Yu Deng couldn’t take the pain and must have weakly and helplessly begged Zhou Yuejun, yet Zhou Yuejun still didn’t let him go.
So bad!
Qiao Fangyu had long since forgotten the matter of Yu Deng leaving him at the library for six hours.
“Dengdeng, then did you take medicine? Are you still dizzy now?”
Yu Deng shook his head. His soft body lay on the sofa. A sense of drowsiness hit him, and he didn’t take the initiative to greet the guests.
“I’m fine now. I don’t need to take medicine.”
But his throat was clearly still raspy.
Looking closely at Yu Deng’s complexion, it didn’t look pale and haggard like a patient’s at all. Instead, his face was flushed with a spring-like glow, wrapped in an enchanting allure.
But his crimson eyelids were indeed a bit lazy.
Like a little fox, a little succubus—clearly still very young, yet he carried a natural hint of charm.
The three of them sat on the floor, sitting without reservation, surrounding Yu Deng to watch him.
Qiao Fangyu felt pity and wanted to use his hand to stroke Yu Deng’s dark, smooth hair. However, under the watchful, predatory glares of the other two, he only hooked a strand of hair.
“How could you get sick?”
“Was it because the electric fan was blowing all the time and your body couldn’t take it? Is that why you got sick?”
Before Yu Deng could answer, Ning Qian couldn’t wait any longer and said hurriedly.
“It must be.”
“Dengdeng, electric fans aren’t good; the air they blow is unevenly hot and cold.”
“How about this, I’ll buy an air conditioner for you.”
