Chapter 117: I Like You…
At night, the lights on the sea were brilliant. Ye Zhile stood at the bow of the ship as the sea breeze brushed past. Ji Shuohan hugged him from behind and kissed his cheek. “Happy wedding, baby.”
Ye Zhile turned around, his eyes as bright as the stars. “Happy wedding to the Leader, too.”
Ji Shuohan smelled of alcohol, and Ye Zhile wasn’t much better. After a few glasses, he was already lightheaded. The wind outside helped him clear his head a bit, but he knew heâd be drunk again once they went back inside.
“You’re so beautiful today.” Ji Shuohan gazed at him with an obsessed look. Ye Zhile asked back, “Was I not beautiful before?”
“The beauty of before and the beauty of today are different.” Ji Shuohanâs gaze was blurry; it was clear he was already somewhat intoxicated. His chin rested on Ye Zhileâs shoulder. Ye Zhile turned his head and took the opportunity to kiss the corner of his mouth.
Ji Shuohan gave a light chuckle and captured his lips.
Fireworks began to go off over the sea. Under the sky full of brilliant lights, the newlyweds kissed at the bow of the ship.
They held each other and watched the fireworks. The bright light reflected the happiness on their faces. The display was meant to last all night, and it seemed endless. Not long after, Ming Xi stumbled over, clearly drunk. “Can you two still drink? Brother Shuohan, you’re way too weak!”
Ji Shuohan laughed helplessly. “Fine, I’ll be over in a bit.”
“Do you want to go back to the room and rest first?” Ji Shuohan turned to ask Ye Zhile. Ye Zhile hugged him. “No, I want to be with you.”
Ji Shuohan held him close and teased, “According to the procedure, the ‘bride’ is supposed to stay in the room while the ‘groom’ drinks with the guests before coming back for the wedding night.”
Ye Zhile knew Ji Shuohan was teasing him and couldn’t help but smile, though he muttered, “But I want to stay with you. I don’t want to be alone.”
“Alright.” Ji Shuohan granted Ye Zhileâs every wish, especially when his “little grown-up” spoke to him in such a spoiled tone; he couldn’t refuse even if he wanted to.
The group in the hall had already gone through several rounds of drinks. Leng Xingtu, Lu Xingyan, and Han Haocheng were playing cards. Pei Ziyu and Ye Zhichen were having a drinking contest straight from the bottles, a sight that made oneâs head ache.
Seeing Ji Shuohan and Ye Zhile arrive, they made room for them in the middle. At the Leaderâs Department, Ji Shuohan was a stern Enigma with powerful execution, but in private, he was a gentle partner to Ye Zhile and a normal person who joked with friends.
“Brother Yuanqing, are you okay?” Ye Zhile saw that Xiao Yuanqingâs face was flushed red as he rested against his eldest brotherâs shoulder. Hearing him, Xiao Yuanqing opened his eyes and waved a hand. “I’m fine. The alcohol just shows on my face easily. Your big brother is the one who drank a lot.”
“My big brotherâs tolerance is decent; no need to worry about him,” Ye Zhile said. Ye Zhijin flicked his forehead. “You care so little for your big brother?”
“That’s not it, I’m just telling the truth. Look at youâyour face isn’t even red,” Ye Zhile said, rubbing his forehead.
Ye Zhijin laughed and didn’t argue with him.
Ji Shuohan had a high tolerance, but he couldn’t withstand several people ganging up to toast him. Ye Zhile couldn’t drink much either, and Ji Shuohan wouldn’t let him. Since he couldn’t stop them, Ye Zhile went to play with Leng Xingtu and the others.
They were playing cards and drinking over here too. Ye Zhile didn’t understand the game at all and could only compare the size of the cards. His luck was poor, and he was forced to drink a few more glasses. After finishing them, Ye Zhile waved his hands with a bitter face. “I can’t play this game at all.”
“Hahahaha…” Leng Xingtu laughed at him. “Youâve hit your limit, haven’t you?”
“Your luck is a bit poor today,” Han Haocheng noted.
Ye Zhile had no choice but to escape. He had been hit by the wind earlier, and now with more drinks, his head was spinning. He leaned against Ji Shuohan. Ji Shuohan noticed his little face was bright red. “Youâve been drinking?”
“A few glasses. I lost at cards.” Ye Zhile was starting to slur his words. Ji Shuohan was both annoyed and amused. “No more drinking.”
Ye Zhile nodded.
In the end, Ye Zhile ended up falling fast asleep. Ji Shuohan declared a ceasefire and carried him away. “I’m taking him to rest.”
“Fine, go take the Little Sister-in-law to rest,” Ming Xi waved them off.
It was already the middle of the night. Some guests had gone to sleep, while others were still partying. Ji Shuohan carried Ye Zhile to their wedding suite. The moment Ye Zhile touched the bed, he scrambled up to vomit.
Ji Shuohan leaned over to rub his back. After Ye Zhile finished, he started moaning about his stomach hurting. Ji Shuohan quickly poured some warm water for him. “You never drink, yet you had so much at once. Of course your stomach will hurt after throwing up.”
Ye Zhile pouted defiantly. After rinsing his mouth and drinking the warm water, he felt a bit better.
“Shall we sleep now?” Ji Shuohan wiped his face, making sure he was clean before letting him back into bed.
Ji Shuohan also did a quick wash-up before lying down. He had also drunk quite a bit, and his head wasn’t very clear either.
“Ji Shuohan…” Ye Zhile called out to him groggily. Ji Shuohan pulled him into his arms. “I’m here.”
Ye Zhile opened his eyes and looked up. Ji Shuohan looked down at him. “What is it?”
“I like you…” Ye Zhile said.
Ji Shuohanâs drunken brain experienced a brief moment of clarity. He smiled. “I like baby too. I like baby the most.”
As he spoke, he kissed Ye Zhileâs forehead. Ye Zhileâs mind was a mess; he had a splitting headache and was incredibly sleepy. He acted spoiled unconsciously. “Coax me to sleep… I’m so tired… I can’t even keep my eyes open…”
“Okay, okay…” Ji Shuohan patted his back gently. “Go to sleep, baby.”
It was very late, and with the alcohol hitting them, Ye Zhile fell asleep almost instantly, even letting out a tiny snore after a while.
Ji Shuohan soon followed him into sleep.
Meanwhile, the few people who could no longer keep fighting also left the scene. Ming Xi and Pei Ziyu supported each other like brothers as they walked away. As for the remaining three couples, the sober ones supported the drunk ones.
Ye Zhichen hadn’t expected Leng Xingtu to have such a high tolerance; in the end, it was he who got drunk. But his mind was still somewhat clear. After sending Leng Xingtu back to his room, he turned to go to the room next door.
“Eh?!” Leng Xingtu grabbed him. Ye Zhichen was drunk and looked a bit dazed. “Whatâs wrong?”
“You’re just leaving?” Leng Xingtu asked him. Ye Zhichen nodded. “What else?”
Leng Xingtu opened his mouth and couldn’t help but curse, “Are you a pig?”
The two of them were in a relationship. Although they hadn’t been dating for long and it might be too early for “that” kind of thing, it didn’t mean they couldn’t sleep together… And besides, since when did an Omega have to be the one to remind someone about this! Did Ye Zhichen not want their relationship to get any closer at all?!
Ye Zhichen saw the anger on Leng Xingtuâs face. He shook his head, a realization finally hitting him. He smiled and pulled the boy into his arms. He explained, ” I just thought, since we’re an Alpha and an Omega, it wouldn’t be convenient for me to lie with you while I’m drunk. Besides, we haven’t even kissed yet.”
Leng Xingtu gritted his teeth. He didn’t need to be so blunt! And he only wanted to be more intimate, not necessarily do anything else! This stupid pig!
The more Leng Xingtu thought about it, the more annoyed he became. When Ye Zhichen let go of him, he directly grabbed the back of the manâs head and kissed him forcefully. The kiss was heavy, catching Ye Zhichen completely off guard. Leng Xingtu pulled away and said with disgust, “So slow!”
With that, Leng Xingtu slammed the door, leaving Ye Zhichen standing there like an idiot. After a moment, he touched his lips and headed back to his room with a silly grin.
If he were any slower, his little nephew would be all grown up!
