EO Romance: The Supreme Leader Is About to Enter the Crematorium Chapter 118

Chapter 118: DDTV Internship

Once the wedding was over, it was time for their honeymoon. Ye Zhile stood at the boarding gate, swaying his head as he bid farewell to his family. “Goodbye! I’m off to have fun!”

“Have a great time,” Wen Yumuo waved at him. After the two boarded the plane, Wen Yumuo turned around to see Dudu being held by Ye Junting, his big eyes staring in the direction his Papa and Father had left.

“Look at this poor little thing,” Ye Junting teased. “Left behind by Papa and Father for Grandma and Grandpa.”

“Ah bababababa!” Dudu opened his little mouth in protest, pointing toward the direction Ye Zhile and Ji Shuohan had disappeared.

“Haha…” Wen Yumuo laughed uncontrollably, taking him into his arms. “Come home with Grandma. Grandma will make something delicious for Dudu to eat.”

It was a month later by the time Ye Zhile and Ji Shuohan returned from their honeymoon. Summer break was approaching, but neither had any time to rest. Ji Shuohan went straight to the Leader’s Department upon returning, while Ye Zhile was busy reviewing for exams. After the exams, it would be time for his internship.

The DDTV building reached high into the clouds. Every student who came here to intern stared with wide, amazed eyes, but having seen the grandeur of the Leader’s Department, Ye Zhile remained fairly composed.

DDTV only accepted interns from prestigious universities with relevant majors, such as Imperial Star University, along with top students from other schools.

Entering the building, they were led in groups to the hall. Leng Xingtu hugged Ye Zhile, excited. “We’re finally here for the internship!”

Ye Zhile was also thrilled. “So happy!!”

“Is that boy Ye Zhile?”

“That’s him! The one next to him is Leng Xingtu!”

“Holy crap! I saw the real person today! I’m going to post a blog about this later!”

“Students, please be quiet.” The person in charge of organizing the training at DDTV was a female Alpha. She had a sharp look and a powerful aura; with just that one sentence, the entire hall immediately fell silent.

Su Xi stood on the stage, looking down at the crowd. “Welcome to DDTV for your internship. Over the next year, the hundred of you will be divided into ten groups. Through the internship assessment, only the top three from each group will be allowed to stay at DDTV.”

“A hundred people in ten groups? That means only thirty people can stay.”

“But competing for thirty spots out of a hundred is easy; competing for top three within ten people is not.”

“This sounds so hard. I hope the group I’m in doesn’t have too many top-tier geniuses.”

Su Xi continued, “Thirty percent of your assessment score will come from your school grades, including professional exam scores and your Star Language proficiency level. The remaining seventy percent will come from the internship assessment itself.”

“Among you, the one currently ranked first in school grades is Ye Zhile, second is Zhou Ziyu, and third is Leng Xingtu.”

As Su Xi finished, more whispering broke out below.

“My god! I hope I’m not in a group with those three! Otherwise, I’m doomed!”

“I hope I’m not with Ye Zhile. I heard he got a nearly perfect score on the Star Language exam! That thirty percent of the score is definitely going to be much higher than mine.”

“Star Language is incredibly hard, but I heard his father is a Federation Translator! How could we possibly beat him?!”

“It’s so unfair…”

Leng Xingtu turned back to look at the person muttering in discontent. The person was covered in designer brands. He snorted in disdain. “What’s unfair about it? It’s not like anyone stopped you from studying. What? Do you think a Federation Translator’s son is born knowing it? There’s no magic in this world—except for an Enigma’s mental power.”

“Hahahaha…” The people watching the drama were amused by Leng Xingtu’s words. Even Ye Zhile, who was worried Xingtu might get targeted, couldn’t help but laugh.

“Your eloquence is as good as ever,” Ye Zhile whispered his praise. Leng Xingtu glanced at the person, saw their embarrassed face, and then turned back to complain, “I’ve been so blinded by love these past few days that I almost lost myself.”

“Hahahaha…” Ye Zhile laughed hard. He discovered that Leng Xingtu had the potential to be a comedian.

“Alright,” Su Xi said. “Everyone come up and draw a number. Those with the same number will be in the same group.”

“I hope we can be in the same group!” Leng Xingtu prayed, grabbing Ye Zhile’s hand. Ye Zhile also held on tightly. However, the moment they both revealed their number cards, their faces instantly fell.

Ye Zhile was in Group 8, and Leng Xingtu was in Group 6. It was a total “886.”

Once the groups were set, the members of Group 8 looked like they were at a funeral seeing that both the first and second ranks were in their group.

“What kind of luck is this? First and second in the same group!”

“Oh my god, how are we supposed to survive? Our Group 8 is really going to explode!”

“Hehe, I’m actually quite happy. First and second are in our group, how proud is that?”

“What are you proud of? If those two take the first and second spots, there’s only one spot left! You’ll be eliminated then!”

“Oh, right…”

After the teams were formed, each group went to their respective internship posts. Then, the lead internship teachers were assigned. Group 8’s teacher was a young Alpha, refined and handsome, with a kind smile on his face. He came to Group 8’s office and smiled. “Hello everyone, I am your internship instructor. My name is Rong Mo.”

Rong Mo was a veteran news anchor at DDTV who had become famous at a young age. Since joining DDTV at twenty-three, his elegant, refined looks and warm, pleasant voice had boosted DDTV’s ratings for several years. He had been DDTV’s star anchor for seven years and was an idol to many interns.

Thus, everyone was excited to see him and stood up to greet him. “Hello, Teacher Rong.”

Ye Zhile stood by the floor-to-ceiling window at the second row of desks. Seeing someone who frequently appeared on the TV news suddenly standing right in front of him felt surreal.

Rong Mo continued, “I will be leading your year-long internship. If there’s anything you don’t understand in the future, feel free to ask me. I will also do my best to lead you so that you can stay at DDTV!”

“Thank you, Teacher Rong!”

“Teacher Rong, I’m your idol… No! You’re my idol!” One of the boys was so excited he mixed up his words, causing everyone to burst into laughter.

Rong Mo remained very humble. “Thank you.”

He looked at the students who admired him, his smile never wavering, until his gaze fell upon the Omega by the window whose eyes were calm. He was momentarily dazed.

He often saw the Leader’s appearance in the news, but this was his first time seeing the Leader’s spouse. Indeed, he was different from the others. He had heard the boy’s grades were first—first in every sense of the word.

Rong Mo gave him a slight nod, and Ye Zhile snapped out of it, hurriedly greeting him.

The first day was mainly about getting familiar with the workstations and the company structure. Ye Zhile and Leng Xingtu thoroughly explored the company cafeterias first. There were three cafeterias, divided into areas A, B, and C. Area A had various snacks and delicacies, Area B was a buffet with noodles and such, and Area C was for hotpot and the like.

The internship would officially begin tomorrow. Once it was time to clock out, Ye Zhile got into his car and headed home.
