Chapter 119: The God of Blazing Sun
“Little Friend A-Ke!” Jun Mo’s Frozen Extremis Domain instantly froze the Mad God’s body.
However, it only served to slightly slow the opponent’s speed.
Ning Ke took the opportunity to bend his waist backward. His bone fan enlarged, positioning itself right before his chest to absorb the Mad God’s strike!
Boom—
The impact sent him flying backward until he slammed into the frozen mountain rocks.
Ning Ke spat out a mouthful of blood, and his shattered Time Domain reformed once more.
He let out a provocative sneer. “Bullshit deity. You still can’t kill me, can you?”
Simultaneously, he sent a divine sense transmission to Jun Mo: “Senior Jun, I will draw his attention. You attack from behind.”
“It seems you are quite eager to die.” The Mad God activated his domain, appearing before Ning Ke in the blink of an eye. “Then I shall grant your wish.”
Time stood still for less than a breath before it shattered again.
Ning Ke retreated half a step. Jun Mo, now clad in dragon-scale armor, swung a fist toward the Mad God’s temple!
Thud—
Jun Mo found that his fist had not landed on the Mad God’s face, but had instead struck a spatial barrier!
Their domains intermingled. Jun Mo alertly spun around with a flying kick, catching the Mad God’s trail behind him as expected!
But the next instant, his kick met nothing but air.
The Mad God’s control over the Spatial Domain had clearly reached a level of perfection. Even if Jun Mo could barely predict his position, the deity would dodge it instantaneously.
“Don’t worry, Senior. I have a way,” Ning Ke’s transmission reached Jun Mo’s ears.
The latter’s mind cleared instantly.
He nodded, accepting Ning Ke’s suggestion.
In the next moment, Ning Ke expanded his divine sense to completely cover the area.
His eyes remained fixed on every movement the Mad God made.
Finally!
He found the opening!
Time Stoppage activated—and shattered once more!
This time, however, the Mad God was directly struck by Jun Mo’s kick, sent flying diagonally through the air!
Due to the extreme cold, his body began to turn to ice and shatter inch by inch.
Even his recovery speed dropped accordingly.
Yet, not a trace of fear appeared on the Mad God’s face. Instead, he laughed even more joyfully. “As expected of the Time Domain! It can coordinate with any domain, amplifying the effects to the absolute limit!”
Ning Ke frowned. The unease in his heart did not dissipate with this successful strike; instead, it grew.
He transmitted to Jun Mo: “Senior Jun, please be ready to tear through space and lead us away at any moment. I feel something is wrong with this Mad God.”
Jun Mo, however, felt Ning Ke was overthinking things.
He transmitted back: “With the two of us joined together, he is no match for us. That tactic just now worked well. Let’s try it again.”
Ning Ke pursed his lips but nodded in agreement.
He thought that perhaps he really was being paranoid.
After all, Senior Jun was the one who had fought this deity before; his judgment ought to be more accurate than Ning Ke’s own.
Thus, he continued to cooperate with Jun Mo, repeating the same strategy.
Gradually, they found their rhythm. Their coordination grew more seamless, and the number of times they landed hits on the Mad God increased.
As he watched the Mad God’s body crumble into falling ice crystals, the weight in Ning Ke’s heart slowly lifted.
But just as the Mad God had been beaten down until only his upper torso remained, Ning Ke suddenly saw the deity’s gaze land on Gao Ze and Wugou nearby.
Ning Ke’s eyes widened. His divine sense detected that the scattered ice crystals were floating in a specific, rhythmic pattern!
Almost instinctively, he transformed into his true Nine-Tailed Fox form and lunged in front of Gao Ze and Wugou!
He activated Time Stoppage, but it shattered in an instant. The range of the ice crystals was too vast, and every single one was infused with the Mad God’s spatial power, capable of piercing through all things!
Boom—
Countless ice crystals instantly riddled the Nine-Tailed Fox’s body. Like ten thousand arrows piercing the heart, they carried a swirling demonic qi that began to rage violently inside Ning Ke!
“Cough—”
Blood overflowed from the fox’s maw, staining his white fur a jarring crimson.
The ice crystals that had tunneled into his body spun rapidly, sucking blood and gouging flesh. Once saturated, they left behind corrosive demonic qi to continue destroying Ning Ke’s body while they themselves exited through his skin and flew back to the Mad God.
Before long, his body was completely reconstructed.
“Benefactor Ning!”
“Yao Venerable, are you alright?”
By this time, Gao Ze understood perfectly.
Those ice crystals had been aimed at him and Wugou.
The purpose was to absorb their flesh and blood to replenish the deity’s own strength.
It was only because Ning Ke had blocked that wave of attacks that he and Wugou had even a chance of survival.
In the urgency of the moment, Ning Ke had only managed to wrap his internal organs in Fox Fire. The demonic qi remained in his body, thrashing about wildly, impossible to disperse.
It felt exactly like the pain he had felt inside his body when he first transmigrated into this world and was imprisoned in the dungeon…
Could it be that the demonic qi back then hadn’t been poured into him by Lou Yunxiao after all?
“I’m fine… hide behind me…”
Ning Ke struggled to prop up his body, wanting to continue the fight, but so many wounds were seeping blood simultaneously that a pool had soon gathered beneath him.
Excessive blood loss made his reactions sluggish.
Looking back at the struggle between Jun Mo and the Mad God, he realized that without his help, Jun Mo was gradually falling into a disadvantageous position. Expanding his divine sense, Ning Ke perceived that the surrounding air was growing steadily hotter.
Then, he saw the Mad God smile.
“Jun Mo, don’t you think this place looks exactly like the valley where the Snow Dragon Clan was burned to death?”
Hearing these words, Ning Ke’s heart shuddered.
He remembered—the Snow Dragon Clan had been burned alive by the divine fire summoned by the Mad God!
And now…
“Senior Jun, we cannot keep fighting him! Tear space and leave now!”
He transmitted to Jun Mo, but it was already too late.
The terrifying divine fire directly utilized the elemental thrust of this fire-filled plane, igniting into a prairie fire in the blink of an eye!
“Aaaaagh—”
Jun Mo’s agonized screams echoed from within the sea of fire.
Ning Ke tried to rush over, only to find a pair of boots stopping before him.
The Mad God had closed the distance.
He looked down at Ning Ke with contempt and said, “My name is Lie Yang, the Sun God of the God Realm. Now that you have heard my name, you may die with understanding.”
Ning Ke’s pupils constricted. He activated his Time Domain.
It shattered instantly. He activated it again; it shattered again.
Seeing Lie Yang’s raised hand about to sever his neck, a massive force suddenly struck him!
Ning Ke only saw a silver-white dragon tail sweep past, hurling him, Gao Ze, and Wugou toward a spatial exit. They tumbled through the portal.
“Senior Jun!”
The giant dragon’s scales turned charred black within the divine fire. The last thing Ning Ke heard was Jun Mo’s voice: “Little Friend A-Ke, you all go first! We shall meet again in the Wuji Space—”
