Chapter 109: The Other Party Refused to Receive the Signal
Si Yue turned his head just in time.
The two people passing in front of him paused mid-step, the scene coming to a sudden halt.
Ye Ran was clutching Chi Yuheng’s hand to his chest, his legs nearly lifting off the ground, looking exactly like a koala hanging on a tree.
Ye Ran struggled to brake. Chi Yuheng, on the other hand, looked quite relaxed. Dragging the person out was like dragging a little chick, at least on the surface.
Ye Ran surely couldn’t escape the fate of being dragged away.
Si Yue’s scrutinizing gaze hovered between the two for a few seconds before he finally spoke to break the silence.
“You two… are playing ‘Forced Love’ in the hospital?”
Chi Yuheng: “…”
Ye Ran: “…”
Since someone was visiting the patient, they definitely didn’t have to go out anymore.
Ye Ran’s legs were saved; he wouldn’t have to walk until they cramped today. He happily shook Chi Yuheng’s arm. “What are you standing there for? You’re a patient, act like one! Go lie down in the ward for me.”
Chi Yuheng glanced at Si Yue and replied to Ye Ran, “No need. We’re all acquaintances. We can talk out here.”
Ye Ran was stunned. “Acquaintances?”
Si Yue stood under the hallway lights, the glow from above brushing past his hair. Coupled with that white coat, looking up at him felt like seeing a savior descend.
Under Ye Ran’s gaze, Si Yue pushed the glasses on the bridge of his nose. “Let’s go back to the ward. This isn’t the place to talk, after all.”
Back in the ward, Si Yue and Chi Yuheng walked directly to the sofa.
Chi Yuheng had suffered an external injury and didn’t need bed rest; sitting on the sofa was no problem at all.
Ye Ran went to pour a few glasses of water, then sat down beside Chi Yuheng.
Such a relationship was obvious at a glance.
Si Yue smiled. “Is this Ye Ran?”
Ye Ran nodded. “I’ve met Doctor Si before.”
Back when Ye Ran came to the hospital for the andrology department, they had just brushed shoulders, and Ye Ran had knocked Si Yue’s phone down.
Si Yue saw as many people as there were fish in a river every day at the hospital. Aside from that exceptionally outstanding face, Ye Ran truly had no unique memory points that would make someone remember him at a glance.

Ye Ran turned to look at Chi Yuheng, who gave him a confirming look.
Ye Ran had initially thought Si Yue and Chi Yuheng were just friends or brothers; he hadn’t expected him to be the Little Uncle Chi Yuheng had mentioned before.
Chi Yuheng didn’t stand on ceremony with Si Yue. He leaned back against the sofa, looking at him squarely, his tone carrying a bit of mockery. “You’re visiting a patient and you came empty-handed?”
Si Yue narrowed his eyes, a slight fatigue showing between his brows. “I came straight here after my night shift, I didn’t have time. Besides, why didn’t you tell me you were hospitalized?”
Chi Yuheng raised an eyebrow, a casual smile curling his lips. “I didn’t tell you, yet you found out anyway?”
He reached out to pull Ye Ran into his arms, letting him lean more comfortably.
There’s still a person here, and an ‘elder’ at that! Can you stop hugging and cuddling? Mind your image!
Chi Yuheng surely couldn’t hear Ye Ran’s inner thoughts.
Ye Ran had no choice but to stare at him.
Stare again.
The other party refused to receive the signal.
Helpless, Ye Ran could only move his butt to the side, silently turning his gaze to the window, doing his best to minimize his presence.
Regarding the hospitalization, Chi Yuheng truly hadn’t told Si Yue.
As for how he found out…
Si Yue said helplessly, “It’s because you two walked around the hospital lap after lap. You were walking when I first arrived at the hospital, and you were still walking when I started my shift. It’s hard not to know.”
Chi Yuheng replied indifferently, “The doctor told me to breathe more fresh air outdoors.”
Si Yue: “A patient who ‘follows doctor’s orders’ like this is rare.”
Ye Ran, looking out the window: “…”
Si Yue returned to the main topic, his eyes scanning Chi Yuheng up and down. “Your arm is injured? Are there any other injuries?”
Chi Yuheng’s face remained calm. “No more. Just a gash, it’s not very serious.”
Si Yue understood Chi Yuheng; no matter what pain he felt, he could always treat it lightly.
However, judging by his complexion and outward appearance, he seemed to be fine.
Si Yue let out a light sigh. “If I hadn’t seen you staying in a ward in this section, I would have thought it was your heart…”

He retracted his gaze and turned to Si Yue, wanting to hear the man finish his sentence.
But Si Yue clearly didn’t want to continue this topic, instead shifting the conversation. “Consider us met today. I just didn’t bring a gift; I’ll definitely make it up to you another day…”
At this point, Si Yue paused.
Even if he had a good idea in his heart, as a doctor, his years of professional habit made him insist on “confirmation” for everything. He couldn’t just rely on guesswork; it had to be confirmed by the person himself.
He leaned forward slightly to Chi Yuheng’s side, deliberately lowering his voice to a level only the two could hear. “Are you the one on top or the one on the bottom?”

He helplessly raised his hand to pinch the space between his brows. Something so obvious and you can’t tell?
Chi Yuheng gave a meaningful look, and Si Yue understood.
He looked at Ye Ran. “I’ll definitely make up the meeting gift for my nephew-in-law later.”

As soon as Si Yue left the ward, Ye Ran pounced on Chi Yuheng.
“Speak! What were the words Little Uncle didn’t finish just now?”
That gaze and posture were clearly telling Chi Yuheng:
