Chapter 170: My Little Ancestor
“Then let’s all play together!”
“Pretty sister, Brother Sen is playing with us!”
“Brother Sen, you haven’t been back in so long, Da Le missed you so much!”
“Little Kai too!”
“Brother Sen, I haven’t even seen your beast form yet. An S-grade beast form must be super cool! Can you transform and show us?”
“Yeah, yeah! Transform! Transform! Transform!”
Among the crowd, she didn’t know which mischievous kid had made the suggestion first, but Su Miantang’s expression instantly changed. She pulled over the one who was cheering the loudest, lowering her head and whispering, “Better not. A two-headed snake is very scary.”
“Ah?”
“What two-headed snake?”
The little boy blinked his large, bewildered eyes at her, seemingly completely failing to understand what she was talking about.
“Two-headed snake?” Tenleson arched his sharp, rugged brow slightly. “The me you saw in prison that day had two heads?”
Su Miantang: “What else?” Didn’t he know what he looked like?
“Heh.”
The man chuckled.
Little Marshmallow really must have been terrified out of her wits to the point of seeing double.
No wonder she had blurted out that particular sentence.
“You saw wrong. Do you want to take another look?”
He leaned down slightly, his deep, burning gaze fixed intently on her.
The young girl’s body stiffened, and she immediately refused, “No need, there’s nothing to see!”
“Indeed, there’s nothing to see. However, besides two heads, I also have two…”
As if predicting what he was about to say, Su Miantang immediately and deftly picked up a piece of mango from the fruit platter and stuffed it into his mouth.
It matched him quite perfectly.
Yellow through and through!
Amy, returning from the riverbank, witnessed exactly this scene.
The tall, heroic man leaned in close, enveloping the young girl completely within his towering shadow. A playful smirk toyed at the corners of his mouth, yet his eyes harbored an affection so deep it couldn’t be melted away.
The young girl leaned back slightly with a feigned angry expression, feeding a piece of mango into his mouth. His eyes instantly curved in delight, as if the world was vast, yet at this moment, he could only see her.
Since the age of eight, she felt like she had never seen Brother Sen smile this happily, let alone directed at a female. The scene was so beautiful that she wouldn’t have even dared to imagine it while watching a romantic drama.
She lowered her eyes slightly and walked around the crowd.
Tenleson swallowed the piece of mango with lightning speed. Before she could even react, his hot, wet tongue deftly wrapped around her fingertips, seemingly giving them a heavy suck. The stimulation sent a violent shiver through Su Miantang’s entire body, and like touching a live wire, she hurriedly snatched her hand back. “…” Why did it feel like she had just been licked by a snake’s tongue?
“So sweet.”
【What a pervert!】
“How am I a pervert? Isn’t this exactly what my Little Marshmallow was thinking in her heart?”
“I am not, I did not, don’t, you, dare, wrong, me!”
Before he could even finish speaking, the young girl stomped heavily onto his shoe, ruthlessly twisting her foot side to side.
Right at that moment, the old man emerged from the kitchen.
“Little Sen, I told you to apologize to Miss Su. What are you doing?”
“Grandpa!”
Su Miantang instantly withdrew her foot. Biting her lip with a pitiable, wronged expression, she hid behind him.
“Tenleson didn’t apologize to me; he even threatened me!”
“What?!”
The old man’s eyes widened in fury, practically blowing his beard.
Tenleson lowered his gaze, observing the adorable footprint on his shoe, a smile bleeding into the corners of his eyes and brows.
Truly a little fox.
And a bristling one that knew how to tattle.
“Little Sen, get over here and apologize immediately!”
“Alright~”
Holding the fruit platter, he sauntered over lazily and offered the young girl a 75-degree bow.
“My apologies, Miss Su. I offended you earlier.”
Su Miantang crossed her arms. Watching someone finally capable of subduing this lawless giant python made her incredibly delighted. “Are you going to do it again next time?”
Tenleson lifted his eyes. “I won’t.”
Next time, he wouldn’t let anyone else see.
“Miss Su, are you satisfied with this apology? If you aren’t, I will make him apologize again.”
“I’m quite satisfied. Thank you, Grandpa!”
“You’re messing up the generations.”
Tenleson looked at the sly, radiant little fox and reminded her.
She knew.
Su Miantang arched her eyebrows slightly.
But she did it on purpose.
Was he the only one allowed to take advantage of her, while she wasn’t allowed to take advantage of him?
Fine.
Tenleson let out a soft laugh.
My little ancestor.
Watching his constant smile within such a brief span, and his gaze glued relentlessly to the young girl, the old man was incredibly astonished.
Little Sen must really, really like Miss Su, right?
Aside from his childhood, he had never seen him smile this happily, this genuinely from the bottom of his heart.
Tenleson: “Apology fruit platter. What do you want to eat?”
Su Miantang cast a brief glance over it. “Lychees.”
Lychees?
It certainly suited her perfectly.
White and tender, bouncy and smooth, and bursting with sweet juice.
Just as the young girl reached out to take one, the man peeled a large, perfectly round piece of fruit and brought it right to her lips. “…” It’s a little bit disgusting.
Her lips twitched. Ignoring him, she grabbed two for herself and walked directly to the bench nearby, taking a seat.
Tenleson followed suit.
“Da Le, pass the ball!”
“Watch my heaven-defying outside-of-the-foot shot!”
“Hahahaha it went in, it went in! Weiwei is amazing!”
“Little Kai too!”
In the courtyard, a group of kids chattered and cheered, playing with absolute, unbridled joy.
Watching the heartwarming scene, Su Miantang couldn’t help but think of the children lying in the hospital, inflicted with venom and hovering on the brink of death; the parents standing guard outside the wards, not closing their eyes for days and nights; and the little raccoon cub who promised to climb trees with his brother to pick berries for her once he recovered.
Actually, when she first laid eyes on Tenleson earlier, the very first thought that rose in her heart was a pleasant surprise.
A pleasant surprise that he appeared here.
A pleasant surprise that there was the possibility of a secondary blood extraction.
However, after hearing Amy’s recounting, she truly couldn’t bring herself to open her mouth and request assistance from a person who had been so brutally tormented by Central Star citizens that even his gland had been forcibly gouged out.
The smile faded from the corners of her lips. She raised her head slightly to check the sky, but inadvertently noticed… from the attic bay window, a pair of eyes rapidly withdrew, looking exactly like they had been caught in the act.
“?”
Why was Amy secretly looking at her?
No.
She turned her gaze toward the man beside her, who had his head down and had been silently peeling lychees the entire time.
She probably wasn’t looking at her.
Looking at her didn’t require being so sneaky.
Then it was Tenleson?
She remembered that when she mentioned ‘Brother Sen’ earlier, Amy’s expression was filled with heartache and admiration. She only belatedly realized—could Amy like him? Or have a secret crush?
Was she really that foolishly in love?
She looked at the man in astonishment.
Tenleson placed the peeled lychees in front of her one by one until they nearly formed a small mountain. “Little Marshmallow, if you keep staring at me like that, I won’t be able to hold back.”
“…”
“Tenleson, could you please use your awakened mind-reading ability on the right target?”
As she spoke, she gestured with her eyes toward the attic.
Yet the man merely lifted his head slightly. Not only did he not follow her gaze, but he stared fixedly at her. “Do you think I would read just anyone’s mind?”
Su Miantang was entirely stunned by his suddenly scalding, intensely bright gaze.
Wh-what did he mean?
Tenleson didn’t shy away in the slightest. Direct and frank, he laid all his affection completely bare before her, burning as fiercely as the sun, making it impossible to look away.
He picked up the last peeled lychee and brought it to her lips. “Eat it, and I’ll agree to donate blood.”
“R-really?”
The young girl’s eyes flickered, seemingly not quite daring to believe her own ears.
“If you don’t believe me…”
In the next split second, she bit down on the lychee with a playful awu. Tenleson watched her cheeks puff out, completely enveloping his fingertips in the process. His gaze darkened, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he harbored a fierce urge to thrust deeper inside…
Chewing on the sweet, juicy lychee, the corners of Su Miantang’s eyes radiated a smile even sweeter than the fruit itself. “We had a deal. You can’t act like a rogue this time, otherwise I’ll tattle to Grandpa.”
“Alright.” Tenleson withdrew his knuckles, his palm slick and damp. “However, this time you can still only extract 10ml.”
“…Why?”
“Don’t worry. I will give you the rest very soon.”
The corners of his lips curved into a subtle smile, but that curve rapidly vanished into the depths of his deep, dark eyes. The light within was so gloomy and opaque it was impossible to read.
“Wait until I finish one last thing.”
Su Miantang didn’t press further, simply nodding her head. “Alright.”
“Then don’t you want to give me a little payment?”
“What do you want?”
“Whatever I want?”
“…” Catching a trace of an unusual undertone in his frivolous voice, Su Miantang instantly and strictly refused, “No way!”
“So stingy? You won’t even part with a few pieces of marshmallow?”
Realizing she had a dirty mind, Su Miantang: “…” So he just wanted marshmallows.
She generously pulled a few pieces from her pocket and placed them into his hand. “You really like eating marshmallows, huh?”
“Mhm.”
The man arched his sharp brow slightly, looking at her with a burning intensity.
“I like them.”
He liked eating the Little Marshmallow even more.
