Chapter 62: Are You Really That Disgusted by My Touch?
Gu Lanxiao subconsciously turned his head. Upon seeing the teenager standing before him, his eyes widened in sheer shock.
He violently pushed the man away, his expression filled with absolute disbelief. His pale lips trembled for a few moments before he finally managed to force out a few syllables: “Gu… Gu Di?”
How could this be?
Wasn’t Gu Di imprisoned by Yu Peishang? Yet here he was, standing perfectly fine right in front of him!
Yu Peishang leaned in slightly, whispering into his ear, “How is it? Look at how delicately I’ve raised your younger brother. His skin feels much better than yours.”
At this moment, Gu Lanxiao had absolutely no capacity to entertain his taunts. Forcing his heavy legs forward, hot tears brimming in his eyes, he excitedly ran over to the boy and pulled him into a tight embrace.
“Xiao Di, I missed you so much… It’s been so many years, and you’ve grown so tall. I’m sorry, I was too cowardly. I couldn’t save you from this place…”
He apologized with deep guilt, tears streaming from his eyes like a broken fountain, soaking the boy’s pristine collar.
However, Gu Di found this incredibly emotional outburst completely baffling. He struggled angrily, “Let… let go of me! Who are you? You’re strangling me! So annoying!”
Hearing that the little brother he had dreamed of day and night actually didn’t recognize him, Gu Lanxiao felt as if a bomb had gone off in his head. He nearly lost his footing.
Trembling, he released the boy, placing both hands on his shoulders. He stared at this brother, who was ten years his junior, only to see a look of disgust and anger directed back at him.
Gu Lanxiao felt as though the hope he had stubbornly clung to all these years was collapsing. His heart felt as if it were being twisted by a knife.
“Xiao… Xiao Di, what are you saying? I’m your older brother, Gu Lanxiao! How could you not recognize me? !”
His voice was choked with sobs. Desperately forcing down the agony and heartbreak inside, he tried his hardest to remain rational.
To his dismay, Gu Di violently threw off the hands on his shoulders. Without even sparing Gu Lanxiao a glance, he ran straight to Yu Peishang, throwing himself into the man’s arms. Hugging his neck, he complained tearfully:
“Waaah, Yu-gege, who is he? Xiao Di has never seen him before, and he just grabbed me! My pretty clothes are all dirty now! So annoying! I just changed into them!”
Yu Peishang chuckled at the boy’s huffy, irritated display. Habitually supporting the little thing’s waist, he lifted him up and comforted him dotingly:
“It’s alright. As long as Xiao Di wants to, I’ll take you to buy new clothes, okay?”
Hearing this, Gu Di instantly stopped crying. He looked up at the handsome man before him, his pretty face flushing a deep red, and whispered shyly,
“R-really?”
Yu Peishang nodded, his doting yet earnest expression causing Gu Di’s heart to bloom with joy, sweeping all his frustrations away.
Wrapping his arms around the man’s neck, he pressed a kiss to his cheek and said with sweet shyness:
“Then… thank you, Yu-gege~”
A faint, satisfied smile graced Yu Peishang’s lips. He raised his long fingers to gently wipe the tears from the boy’s eyes, saying tenderly, “Silly boy.”
Gu Di’s eyes curved into little crescent moons as he nestled happily against the man’s chest.
Then, as if asserting his dominance, he shot a provocative glance back at Gu Lanxiao.
Watching his own flesh-and-blood brother snuggling with his enemy… Watching the man who had just forcefully kissed him only a second ago seamlessly transition into coddling someone else…
An inexplicable sour ache welled up from the depths of Gu Lanxiao’s heart, alongside a surging wave of fury rolling violently within his chest.
Gritting his teeth, he strode forward and grabbed Gu Di, yanking the boy out of Yu Peishang’s embrace. He glared furiously at the man, demanding in a strong, domineering tone:
“Did you do something to Xiao Di? It’s only been three years, why doesn’t he recognize me anymore? Did you feed him some messed-up drugs?!”
“Get lost! Let me go!”
Gu Di wrenched himself from Gu Lanxiao’s grasp and hid behind Yu Peishang, glaring fiercely at the person in front of him:
“I don’t know you at all! Yu-gege treats me so well—if you ask me, you’re the one who looks like a bad guy!”
“You…”
Gu Lanxiao choked with rage, yet his tear-filled eyes revealed a profound sorrow.
He couldn’t understand how the kind, obedient little brother from three years ago had turned into this arrogant, unreasonable brat!
“Xiao Di, it’s getting late. Have Driver Bai drop you off at school. I still have matters to attend to.”
Yu Peishang gently pushed the boy behind him, internally desperate for this clingy little nuisance to leave.
But Gu Di only hugged him tighter, shaking his little head as his dark eyes filled with expectation:
“I don’t want to go. Yu-gege, can I skip school today? I want to stay home and keep you company.”
“No.”
Yu Peishang refused him mercilessly. His fingers lightly stroked the boy’s cheek, his eyes gradually darkening.
Even his tone of voice had hardened significantly—where was the earlier tenderness and doting?
Gu Di pouted, looking at the tall, handsome man before him with deep grievance. “Fine…”
He reluctantly unwrapped his arms from the man’s waist. As he turned to leave, he shot Gu Lanxiao a glare, a look that seemed to warn him to stay away from Yu Peishang.
Gu Lanxiao had never seen such a resentful, hostile expression on Gu Di’s face before.
Since they were young, his brother had always possessed a gentle temperament. Even when angry, he never made it too obvious. But now, the way Gu Di looked at him made him feel a sense of dread.
Furthermore, Gu Di’s intimate behavior and reliance on Yu Peishang just now made it seem as though they were the true family members, or perhaps… lovers, while he, Gu Lanxiao, was the outsider.
That man must have done something to Gu Di!
Destroying his happy family three years ago and causing the deaths of his parents wasn’t enough; now, he actually had to bewitch his younger brother, turning blood siblings into bitter enemies!
Yu Peishang naturally noticed the monstrous resentment in his eyes. He let out a soft scoff, taking a long stride to stand directly in front of him. Staring down from a superior height, he explained patiently:
“A-Xiao, it’s not what you think. I didn’t do anything to Xiao Di. He had an accidental fall three years ago and hit his head, which is why he forgot you.”
His voice was warm and bewildering, as if possessing a magical power that slowly chipped away at Gu Lanxiao’s rationality.
“Impossible, how could he have fallen?!”
Gu Lanxiao snapped his head up, the resentment in his eyes erupting into blazing flames. “You are just like Yu Xiuqing, full of nothing but lies! Stop trying to deceive me!”
“I’m not deceiving you, A-Xiao.”
Yu Peishang lowered his voice in a rare display of seriousness. He looked earnestly into his eyes and placed a hand on his shoulder:
“It’s the truth. Three years ago, while trying to find you, Xiao Di fell from the fourth floor. He suffered brain damage. The doctors said it was temporary amnesia, but he still hasn’t recovered.”
Hearing this, the raging fire in Gu Lanxiao’s eyes was instantly extinguished. He stared blankly at the man. His heart felt as though it had been violently squeezed, making his breaths short and labored.
His emotions became incredibly complex in an instant.
Heartache, self-blame, hatred… countless negative emotions intertwined, throwing his mind into complete chaos.
Seeing his sudden silence, Yu Peishang added, “If you still don’t believe me, I can have Xiao Di’s original hospitalization records and medical files brought out for you to see.”
“There’s no need. For President Yu to obtain something like that, isn’t it just a matter of lifting a finger?”
Gu Lanxiao cast a flat glance over him, his tone dripping with mockery, before asking, “I’m tired. Where is my room?”
“Doctor Gu, this dismissive look of yours simply fills me with the desire to conquer.”
Yu Peishang curled his thin lips, a smile hanging on his handsome face. He looked at him with an undeniable arrogance and aggressiveness, as if he wanted to tear him apart and devour him.
Gu Lanxiao let out a cold snort from his nose, stating plainly, “What a pity. I have no interest in you.”
Yet it was exactly this cold, stubborn temperament—acting so noble despite being so lowly—that effortlessly provoked an even deeper level of possessiveness within Yu Peishang, clawing at his very core.
He raised an eyebrow, saying wickedly, “That’s not up to you, because I’ve already bound you to my side.”
As he spoke, he violently shoved Gu Lanxiao onto the sofa, pressing his body over him. His fingers expertly tore at the boy’s clothes, and he lowered his head to capture those soft, petal-like lips.
The man’s weight was crushing. Pressed against Gu Lanxiao’s chest, he felt as if his ribs were about to snap.
Yu Peishang’s kiss remained overbearing and wild.
Carrying his unique masculine scent and scorching heat, it instantly turned Gu Lanxiao’s mind completely blank, leaving only the flames ignited by the man’s touch and an uncontrollable palpitation.
He couldn’t help but let out a soft whimper, “Nn…”
Yu Peishang’s eyes darkened a fraction.
Panting slightly, he lifted his head to stare at the person in his arms. Seeing the enticing image of the youth’s cheeks flushed a dizzying peach-red, his Adam’s apple bobbed uncontrollably:
“You know I love this pitiful look of yours the most. The more you make this expression, the more I want to conquer you. The more you resist, the more excited I get.”
With his lips finally free, Gu Lanxiao snapped back to reality, forcefully grabbing the man’s hands as they tore at his clothes.
Through gritted teeth, he hissed, “If you dirty me, I will hate you for the rest of my life. Or I’ll kill myself.”
Yu Peishang paused for a moment. His dark eyes stared into the absolute resolve in the other’s gaze, and his expression suddenly shifted into one of forbearance and emotion.
He was well aware of Gu Lanxiao’s temperament.
Like an unapproachable flower on a high peak, refusing to be sullied.
“Are you really that disgusted by my touch?”
Unwilling to give up, Yu Peishang asked one more time.
“Of course. If you want to ruin my purity, I can go die right now. I mean what I say. It would also save me the nausea of ever having to look at your face again!”
Gu Lanxiao replied, emphasizing every single word. His already despairing eyes stubbornly refused to yield.
He had had enough of him!
It was the same three years ago, and it remained unchanged three years later.
Every time the man kissed him, Gu Lanxiao felt a visceral urge to vomit!
Yu Peishang’s heart was suddenly wrenched with pain.
He closed his eyes, hiding the gloom within them.
Only after a long while did he open his eyes, looking at Gu Lanxiao with a complex gaze as he withdrew his hands from the youth’s body.
“I understand,” he said. His tone was low and calm. Once finished, he stood up and left.
Gu Lanxiao was slightly stunned by this shift in attitude. He thought that after he had fled for three years, the man would fly into a furious rage and ruthlessly ravage him.
Yet, in reality, he didn’t?!
Gu Lanxiao braced himself against the sofa to sit up. He quickly buttoned his clothes, but he could not mask his violently pounding heart.
