After the Villain Awakened, He Was Carried Home by the Big Boss and Kissed Until He Cried Chapter 104

Chapter 104: The Not-to-be-Trifled-With Ye Ran

Before Ye Ran could finish his sentence, the bodyguard directly delivered a knifehand strike to Ye Muqing.

Ye Muqing’s head tilted, and he fainted.

Ye Ran: “???”

Ye Ran looked at the bodyguard speechlessly, and the bodyguard looked at him at the same time.

Ye Ran was defeated. “Why did you chop him?”

“I was going to say he was also kidnapped by the bad guys. Are you a bit dim? Can’t you wait for me to finish before taking action?”

Bodyguard: “…”

He hadn’t expected that either.

Ye Ran actually had a second half to his sentence. Based on the first half, he thought his judgment was correct and had successfully knocked out a bad person. He hadn’t expected it was one of their own.

The person was already knocked out; there was no point in saying more.

Ye Ran waved his hand, his gaze unconsciously drifting toward the door. The sound of fighting outside seemed to have weakened a bit, but the clanging of metal could still be heard. He asked, “Where is Chi Yuheng?”

The bodyguard replied, “The Eldest Young Master is still outside.”

Ye Ran looked at the fainted and unconscious Ye Muqing on the floor, his temple twitching. “Carry him. Let’s go.”

Ye Ran rubbed his wrists, which were numb from being tied, and took the lead toward the door.

Just as he stepped out of the room, a scent mixed with rust, dust, and a faint hint of blood rushed toward him, making him subconsciously furrow his brows.

The light in the unfinished building was dim. Broken steel pipes, shattered wooden blocks, and a few drops of dark red blood were scattered on the floor. Clearly, a chaotic fight had just taken place here as well.

The sound of fighting in the distance disappeared. Ye Ran’s heart inexplicably tightened, and his footsteps accelerated unconsciously. His gaze searched urgently through the shadows ahead.

Finally, in the faint light at the end of the corridor, he saw that familiar silhouette.

He was dressed in black, the hair on his forehead dampened by sweat. His usually meticulously styled appearance now held a bit of wild disarray.

Perhaps hearing the footsteps, Chi Yuheng lifted his eyes to look over.

In the gloom, his gaze was still as sharp as a hawk’s. Yet, the moment it touched Ye Ran, the un-dissipated ferocity in his eyes vanished instantly.

“Ye-zi, come here.” He spoke, his voice a few degrees raspier than usual, yet hearing it made Ye Ran feel at peace.

Ye Ran walked forward quickly, but he heard a scoffing voice from not far away, “Ye Ran, you won the bet. Chi Yuheng indeed arrived faster than that useless adoptive mother of yours.”

Ye Ran turned his head and saw Ming He, covered in dust, crawling up from the floor. He was in a wretched state, yet his eyes still flickered with the poisonous light of malice.

The temperature in Ye Ran’s eyes cooled instantly. The corners of his mouth curled into a dangerous arc, and a low scoff escaped his throat, carrying undisguised ferocity. “How is this person still able to talk?”

As he spoke, he changed direction and rushed in front of Ming He in a few steps.

Being kidnapped for no reason into this wretched place to suffer, having his wrists bound until they were red and numb, and having to live in fear—this debt had to be collected!

He didn’t give Ming He a chance to react. He raised his fist and swung it fiercely toward that punchable face!

“Bang!”

The fist smashed solidly into Ming He’s left cheek, letting out a muffled sound.

Ming He’s footing was already unstable, and this punch sent him staggering back two steps, crashing into the broken wall behind him. He let out a muffled groan of pain.

“I was only kidnapped to this wretched place because you launched a sneak attack. Did you really think I was a glass cannon?”

Ye Ran stepped forward and grabbed Ming He’s collar, pinning him firmly against the wall. His right fist was raised again. “Bang!” Another punch.

Ming He’s entire face quickly became swollen. Finally, having been beaten until his eyes turned red, he pulled out a hidden hand-knife from behind him.

The blade glinted coldly in the gloom. He lunged over like a mad dog, twisting his wrist and stabbing directly toward Ye Ran.

“Ye Ran!” Chi Yuheng rushed over almost instantly, violently pulling Ye Ran behind him.

“Squelch…” The sharp blade cut through the air and slashed deeply into Chi Yuheng’s forearm. The black sleeve was instantly sliced open, and bright red blood surged out immediately, flowing down his arm.

“Chi Yuheng!” Ye Ran’s pupils contracted sharply.

Ming He missed his strike and wanted to stab again, but he was kicked to the floor by Chi Yuheng, the hand-knife hitting the ground with a “clatter.”

Ye Ran’s eyes were instantly flooded with crimson. All his reason was shattered by the blood surging from Chi Yuheng’s forearm.

He stared fixedly at Ming He on the floor, two words squeezing out from his throat, “You’re dead!”

Ye Ran had lost the last of his patience. He clenched his fists and stepped forward. Just as he was about to raise his hand, a heavy voice sounded from behind, “Ye Ran…”

Ye Ran turned his head and saw Chi Yuheng bending over to pick up that broken steel pipe from the floor, handing it to him.

His forearm was still bleeding, the black sleeve soaked in blood, which dripped down from his fingertips.

Ye Ran originally thought Chi Yuheng was going to stop him. To his surprise, there was only a bit of coldness in his eyes as he gave him the steel pipe. “Use this. Don’t hurt your hand.”

Chi Yuheng knew Ye Ran’s temper. He wouldn’t have let Ming He go anyway; he just didn’t want Ye Ran to get injured again while hitting someone.

Ye Ran took the steel pipe without a word and walked toward Ming He, his eyes a field of pure violence.

A muffled sound exploded along with the crisp sound of bone breaking. Ming He let out a heart-wrenching scream, his entire leg instantly twisting at a grotesque angle.

Ye Ran didn’t stop. The steel pipe was raised again and fell fiercely. This time, it smashed onto Ming He’s arm.

With a “crack,” followed by another shrill wail, Ming He collapsed completely on the floor like a pile of mud. Only his chest was still rising and falling weakly; he no longer had the ability to resist.

Ye Ran looked down at him, his voice bone-chillingly cold, the crimson in his eyes not fading in the slightest. “You hurt him. An arm and a leg is getting off easy for you.”

Ye Ran tossed the steel pipe. The “clatter” was exceptionally piercing in the silent space.

“You guys know how to handle this.”

The bodyguard behind him nodded.

Ye Ran didn’t look at Ming He on the floor again. He turned and walked toward Chi Yuheng. “Let’s go to the hospital.”

Chi Yuheng allowed Ye Ran to support him. Looking at Ye Ran’s tense profile, a flash of heartache flickered in his eyes. He gently squeezed Ye Ran’s hand as if to comfort him. “I’m fine.”

“Shut up.” Ye Ran interrupted him. “Such a large gash and you still say you’re fine? Do you think you’re so capable?”

“Chi Yuheng, do I need you to block a blade for me?”

Chi Yuheng’s voice slowed down. “It’s better than seeing you get hurt.”

Ye Ran was speechless. He seemed to understand the feeling Chi Yuheng had when he worried about him being hurt, because he was currently experiencing the same thing.
