Chapter 73: If I Were a Woman, I’d Definitely Fanboy Over You
Chi Yuheng found the Cardiology consultation room with ease. Seeing him enter, a smile appeared in Si Yue’s cool eyes.
“You’re already at the hospital, yet you’re waiting outside to call me. Why didn’t you just come up?”
Chi Yuheng pulled out the stool opposite Si Yue and sat down. “I was afraid you were too busy and wanted to ask in advance. I came up once it was almost my turn to save both my time and yours.”
Si Yue was on duty today, so there were bound to be other patients besides him. If Chi Yuheng arrived late, it would be difficult for Si Yue not to wait for him for a few minutes.
Having been a CEO for a long time, he understood that time was precious—his time was tight, and a doctor’s time was even tighter.
Si Yue chuckled and pushed a printed slip toward him. “Alright then, let’s both save time. This is the slip for the items to be checked. I’ve already prepared it, so go quickly.”

The voice from the other side was lazy, carrying the nasal tone of someone who had just woken up, mixed with a lingering drowsiness. It sounded soft, as if soaked in warm water.
“My Ranran, you’re wasting time by not sleeping this early in the morning…”
Yesterday, while his brother was working overtime at the company, Xu Huijiang had been battling in ‘Honor of Kings’ at home.

The good news was that he successfully escaped with a sliver of health using ‘Flash’.

The even worse news was that just as he was prepared to turn on his mic and start cursing, his phone ran out of battery and shut down.
After this round, Xu Huijiang was completely unable to sleep. He charged his phone and prepared to battle for another three hundred rounds.
Playing while cursing, he didn’t believe he could keep losing.
The game didn’t let him down; through his night-long efforts, he successfully dropped from King 10-stars to Star-Diamond.
He was so angry his throat was parched. It wasn’t until Xu Zhaoli returned and found his brother was about to enter a state of demonic possession that he gave him two slaps on the backside.
At the same time, he warned him that if he stayed up late playing games like this again, he would confiscate his phone at night.
Xu Huijiang usually had a young master’s temper, but he couldn’t show it at all in front of his brother.
He became instantly timid and obediently went back to sleep.
Even in his dreams, he was beating those bastards up. He was right in the middle of it when the call came. Xu Huijiang paused his dream to answer his brother’s call.
Xu Huijiang’s lazy voice was a bit “cloying,” and with that “My Ranran,” it gave Ye Ran goosebumps.

Ye Ran: “…Stop being cloying. Speak properly.”
Xu Huijiang was completely awake now and tried to complain to his brother.

Is anyone more miserable than me?”
On this end of the phone, Ye Ran leaned against a bench downstairs at the hospital, his fingertips unconsciously rubbing the edge of his phone. Listening to Xu Huijiang’s rapid-fire complaints, he chimed in seriously.
“Indeed, there isn’t. In terms of misery, you can rank first today.”
Xu Huijiang abandoned his cloying voice and was prepared to let out a couple of howls when Ye Ran spoke before him, “Do you have anything going on today?”
What could Xu Huijiang have? There were still a few days before school started. Aside from not being allowed to go to bars or cause trouble, he was very free during the rest of the time.
Walking cats, teasing dogs, playing games—every day he was either playing or on the way to play, enjoying the beautiful time before school started.

Ye Ran paused, then blurted out the destination: “A bar.”
The voice on the other side of the phone instantly vanished. Two seconds later, his dejected voice came through, his previous excitement having been dampened like being doused in cold water from head to toe.
“Brother, I think I have something to do…”
Xu Huijiang wanted to go, but he was truly afraid of being caught by Xu Zhaoli. He didn’t want his backside, which had just recovered, to suffer a few more hits because of his involvement.
But he really hadn’t been to a bar with Ye Ran for a long time. The thought made his heart itch.
Ye Ran guessed that Xu Huijiang wouldn’t go. “Alright then, I’ll…”
“Where are you? Which bar are we going to? When?” Xu Huijiang threw out a string of questions.
Ye Ran didn’t answer these questions first. Instead, the corner of his mouth curled into a smile as he asked back, “Aren’t you afraid of your brother?”
Xu Huijiang switched to ‘confidence mode’ instantly, looking valiant and spirited, not afraid at all.
“That was because of my carelessness yesterday. It’s absolutely impossible for him to find out today. Just say which bar.”
Ye Ran thought for a moment. “Let’s go to Tingyu.”
Ye Ran was close to Tingyu Bar; it was just a few minutes away by taxi. Xu Huijiang arrived a few minutes later than him.
The two entered the bar, found a booth, and immediately ordered nearly a table full of alcohol.
The bottle opener was being played with by Ye Ran like a toy. “Pop, pop, pop” sounds rang out continuously. Before long, several opened bottles of beer were placed on the table.
Xu Huijiang was dazed. “You’re so handsome when opening bottles. If I were a woman, I’d definitely fanboy over you.”
Ye Ran took two bottles of beer and handed one to Xu Huijiang. “It might not be just women.”
Xu Huijiang gave a “Huh?”, not reacting to what those words meant.
Ye Ran pointed his finger toward the bar counter over there. “When I was working as a bartender here before, men also fanboyed over me.”
“You worked as a bartender… Is this the bar you worked at during those few days you were hiding from Chi Yuheng?”
Ye Ran nodded. Xu Huijiang truly admired him. “You played ‘darkness under the lamp’ with Chi Yuheng again. Weren’t you afraid of being dragged back by him?”
Ye Ran tilted his head back and gulped down half a bottle of beer. “It’s because I was discovered here before that he wouldn’t expect me to come back here again.”
In terms of confidence, Xu Huijiang and Ye Ran were inexplicably similar.
Very soon, one bottle of beer was finished, and Ye Ran started on the second.
Seeing Ye Ran drinking so fast, Xu Huijiang wanted to get him a couple of side dishes; how could he just drink?
Xu Huijiang went to get some fruit, along with two plates of melon seeds and peanuts. Anyway, it was just the two of them out to play today, so they would do whatever made them comfortable.
When he returned, Ye Ran was still drinking.
Xu Huijiang sat down beside him. “Brother, the way you look isn’t like you’re out to play—it’s like you’re heartbroken.”
“When did you start a relationship behind my back?”
