Are You Kidding Me! After Three Years as a Stand-in, You Say I’m the White Moonlight? Chapter 46

Chapter 46: Compensating by Cooking for Him

Amidst his hesitation and daze, Chen Wei was suddenly pinned back into the sofa.

He looked up. Zhou Sijin was leaning into his field of vision with a piece of cake held in his mouth.

“Open up.”

The gentle command was laced with a gravelly texture. Chen Wei blinked in confusion.

His chin was suddenly lifted. His lips were forced slightly open.

In an instant, the sweet cake was transferred from one mouth to the other.

The part of the cake that had been exposed because it couldn’t be swallowed in time was tenderly bitten away by Zhou Sijin under Chen Wei’s watchful gaze.

The silky sweet cream melted in his mouth without a moment’s pause.

The air was filled with their heavy breathing. An intoxication mixed with the scent of red wine.

Chen Wei’s hands were guided by Zhou Sijin to wrap around his neck.

In such matters, Chen Wei had never been one to wrong himself. Since he couldn’t resist, it was better to open his heart and body to enjoy the pleasure.

The face, the body, the stamina… given Zhou Sijin’s status, Chen Wei didn’t feel like he was losing out by “eating” him.

.

The remaining bits of the cake were eventually fed into Zhou Sijin’s own mouth through Chen Wei—using all sorts of strange methods.

He called it “compensating by ‘cooking’ for him.”

The mess in the living room and on the sofa was cleaned up by the robot. Chen Wei felt very sticky.

Zhou Sijin carried him into the bathroom to wash him. In the three years they had been together, this was the first time Zhou Sijin had proactively taken him to the bath to clean him.

Through the lingering steam of the bathroom, Chen Wei lay in the tub. He turned his head to look at Zhou Sijin, who was crouching before him, holding his arm and applying body wash.

As if possessed, Chen Wei opened his mouth and asked very softly:

“Where did you go today?”

The exhaust fan on the ceiling was whirring loudly. Overpowering Chen Wei’s voice, Zhou Sijin didn’t hear him clearly.

“What?” he asked.

Chen Wei gazed at him for a long time. Eventually, he let out a soft sigh, withdrew his gaze, and replied tonelessly:

“Nothing.”

Perhaps because he’d heard that “nothing,” Zhou Sijin raised an eyebrow as he used the loofah to lather Chen Wei’s body, muttering:

“You’ve been a bit strange lately.”

Hearing Zhou Sijin call him strange, Chen Wei also felt he had indeed been acting a bit odd lately. If it were the old him, he would never have asked Zhou Sijin these pointless questions.

“Are you very concerned about my whereabouts?”

Zhou Sijin stopped his movements and turned his eyes to stare fixedly at him.

Meeting that possessive and invasive gaze, for a moment, Chen Wei felt as if a giant wave had swept over his heart. He gripped the edge of the tub, attempting to use the action to hide the nameless panic rising within.

Taking a deep breath, Chen Wei pulled his gaze back and explained with forced composure:

“You’re overthinking it.”

“Is that so?” Zhou Sijin continued to press the issue.

The rising steam in the room warmed Chen Wei’s cheeks, which had already flushed with a faint red due to his accelerated heartbeat.

Snatching the loofah from Zhou Sijin’s hand, Chen Wei stopped answering. He focused purely on scrubbing the cake residue from his body.

Zhou Sijin remained half-crouched, staring at him without blinking. The raw suspicion in his eyes made Chen Wei uneasy, so he intentionally spoke up to distract him:

“Give me the showerhead.”

Zhou Sijin was surprisingly obedient. Or perhaps he knew that his act of smearing cake on Chen Wei earlier had been a bit too much.

He took the handle, but he didn’t give it to Chen Wei. He held it himself, spraying water over Chen Wei’s body in intervals.

“I’ll wash you.” His steady, powerful tone brooked no argument.

While marveling at how quickly the man could change his face, Chen Wei couldn’t help but feel a sense of melancholy. To lower himself to help him bathe… he didn’t know if it was because Zhou Sijin felt guilty about the “cake” incident from earlier today.

But after a moment’s pause, Chen Wei began to find his own internal speculation hilarious.

Whatever the reason, what did it have to do with him, the man who was about to leave Zhou Sijin?

Not long after Zhou Sijin carried Chen Wei out of the bathroom, he took a phone call. After giving Chen Wei a brief explanation, he left in a hurry.

Chen Wei stood by the upstairs window, watching Zhou Sijin’s retreating back.

Zhou Sijin had been dropped off by his assistant. After dropping him off, the assistant had driven away. Calling him back now would be a waste of time.

Recalling the flash of panic on Zhou Sijin’s face when he took the call, and his anxious look as he departed, Chen Wei guessed he would likely choose to hail a taxi.

Chen Wei pulled out his phone and used a ride-hailing app to call a car at another side gate of the residential complex.

At an inconspicuous intersection, the taxi carrying Zhou Sijin drove past Chen Wei’s eyes.

Ordering the driver to start the car, Chen Wei followed him.

On the late-night roads of Beicheng, the flow of traffic was endless. Two unremarkable taxis naturally wouldn’t draw anyone’s attention.

Chen Wei followed all the way until he saw the taxi carrying Zhou Sijin enter a villa complex.

He paid the driver enough money and got out, asking him to wait for a moment.

Standing at the entrance, Chen Wei looked up to survey this luxurious villa. It belonged to Zhou Sijin, and even the number of times Chen Wei had been here could be counted on one hand.

Chen Wei didn’t smoke, so he simply fished a piece of candy from his pocket and popped it into his mouth.

Time ticked by. After an unknown amount of time, Chen Wei finally stepped closer.

The security guard at the gate wasn’t seeing Chen Wei for the first time. He also knew Chen Wei’s status. The moment he saw him appear, he opened the gate and let him in without a word.

Because the villa was rarely lived in, aside from the necessary daily cleaning staff, there was basically no one around. He estimated that by this time, the servants had already gone to bed.

Thus, Chen Wei’s path inside was completely unobstructed.

He didn’t know if it was because the owner had returned, but the villa was brightly lit. The main door was wide open, facilitating Chen Wei’s entry.

Standing in the first-floor living room, he heard scolding coming from the second floor.

Chen Wei’s legs moved of their own accord as he went upstairs.

Following the sound, Chen Wei stopped before a slightly ajar door that was emitting a soft yellow light.

Zhou Sijin’s reprimands drifted clearly through the crack into Chen Wei’s ears.

“How do you do your jobs? Such a large group of people can’t even take care of a single child? Are your brains made of mush?”

Inside the room, a row of servants stood with their hands folded and heads bowed toward Zhou Sijin, bending low in respect. However, their trembling bodies betrayed their current state of mind.

A soft voice rang out immediately after Zhou Sijin’s:

“Sijin-ge, it really isn’t their fault. It was my own fault for accidentally missing a step while coming downstairs.”
