Are You Kidding Me! After Three Years as a Stand-in, You Say I’m the White Moonlight? Chapter 48

Chapter 48: Could He Be a Pervert?

Finn’s private studio was not in the city center.

Following the address Finn had sent him, Chen Wei headed there the next day with Han Chi.

Before arriving, he had expected it to be a small house built in the suburbs for design inspiration.

It wasn’t until they stood before this grand yet ancient-looking villa that seemed to stretch as far as the eye could see that Chen Wei and Han Chi exchanged a look from inside the car.

Perhaps because Finn had given instructions in advance, it didn’t take long after they identified themselves for servants in uniform to lead them inside.

Sitting in the villa’s exclusive black high-end sightseeing cart, they took in the unique scenery and layout of this old-fashioned estate.

For some reason, Chen Wei suddenly remembered the ID card Finn had shown him that day.

He turned to ask Han Chi: “Do you remember what Fei’en’s surname is?”

Han Chi thought for a moment, then looked into his eyes and said somewhat uncertainly: “I remember… was it Zhou?”

Chen Wei didn’t speak, but his sharp gaze betrayed the thoughts in his mind.

“Hiss!” Han Chi inhaled sharply. Then, as if realizing something, his eyes widened:

“Zhou Sijin!?”

The loud exclamation successfully drew the attention of the driver in the front.

Han Chi quickly covered his mouth.

Meeting the strange look the driver cast his way, he could only offer an apologetic smile.

Seeing that he was polite, the driver said nothing, withdrew his gaze, and continued driving.

However, Chen Wei still managed to deduce something from this small interlude.

The driver’s significant reaction to the name Zhou Sijin indicated that Zhou Sijin definitely had a connection with the owner of this villa.

As for Zhou Sijin and Zhou Fei’en…

Both shared the surname Zhou. Before meeting Fei’en, it was indeed difficult to directly judge the nature of their relationship.

No wonder Fei’en had dared to boldly propose changing the spokesperson on the spot during the photoshoot.

Only…

Sitting in the car, Chen Wei sighed helplessly and rubbed his forehead.

Originally, he had thought about “digging” Fei’en away from Zhou Sijin’s side when he made his clean break.

But now, setting aside the blood relation between the two…

Given Fei’en’s powerful background, even if he gave him all the earnings from a year’s worth of work, it probably wouldn’t be enough to satisfy a single one of the man’s requirements.

The vehicle stopped before a private courtyard.

A waiting servant respectfully opened the car door.

Chen Wei and Han Chi stepped out.

The servant stepped aside and bowed:

“Distinguished guests, the Second Young Master is waiting for you inside. Please follow me.”

When they were led to Finn by the servant, he was busy marking a garment with tailor’s chalk and a grading ruler.

He was working so intently that Chen Wei stopped the servant from calling out to him.

The servant took the hint, offered a smile, and proactively withdrew.

The room seemed specifically built for Finn, featuring three massive, transparent floor-to-ceiling windows that provided an excellent view of the scenery outside.

After an unknown amount of time, Finn finally put down his tools with satisfaction.

When he looked up, he saw Han Chi and Chen Wei standing not far away.

Finn gasped in surprise: “You… when did you two arrive? Why didn’t you say anything?”

He hurried over to usher them inside.

Calling for servants to bring them tea, Finn looked apologetic:

“Sorry for making you wait.”

Chen Wei shook his head with a smile. “I just didn’t want to disturb your creative inspiration.”

“Haha.” The words hit home for Finn. Scratching his head, he said modestly:

“What creative inspiration? It’s just some tinkering to pass the time.”

Chen Wei wasn’t foolish enough to take those words at face value.

A faint smile on his lips was his only response.

On the contrary, Finn looked like he couldn’t wait any longer.

Setting down his cup, he looked at the two of them and said:

“I invited you here today mainly because I wanted to show you something.”

With that, he rose eagerly and walked forward:

“Come with me.”

Exchanging a glance, Chen Wei and Han Chi followed him.

Perhaps to facilitate Finn’s work, the entire room had no superfluous design.

There was only a massive cutting table in the center, surrounded by countless mannequins and semi-finished garments.

Passing these, Finn led them to the only wall that wasn’t a transparent window.

As Finn activated a remote in his hand, a one-way mirrored glass door automatically slid open.

The true face hidden behind the door was revealed to them without any obstruction.

Both were stunned.

In the next second, Chen Wei turned his head stiffly.

“This is…?”

Tucking the remote away, Finn stepped inside and explained:

“As of now, every design of mine that I’m satisfied with is kept here.”

It was a room even larger than the living area they had just been in, decorated with top-tier luxury.

At a glance, mannequins in various poses and outfits were arranged in an orderly fashion.

The entire room lacked any additional lighting equipment, save for a long, diamond-encrusted chandelier above.

The ceiling, composed of a dazzling array of prisms, reflected light that fell perfectly onto the mannequins, lending the scene an air of mystery and allure.

Chen Wei followed Finn’s footsteps until he stood shoulder-to-shoulder with one of the mannequins.

Noticing the mannequin was nearly identical in height to himself…

Chen Wei paused, turned around to stand at the front of the room, and scanned the rows behind him.

“Sh*t!”

Before Chen Wei could speak, Han Chi let out a low, suppressed exclamation.

Jogging over to Chen Wei’s side, Han Chi’s eyes widened.

Cupping his hand to his mouth, he leaned in close to Chen Wei, his expression a mix of shock, disbelief, and a touch of repulsion. He whispered:

“A-Wei, all these mannequins in Finn’s room… were they all modeled after you?”

He couldn’t be blamed for overthinking; from his current vantage point, if it weren’t for Chen Wei’s real, fleshy skin, he would have almost blended in perfectly with the lifeless mannequins.

Lowering his voice to a level only the two of them could hear, he asked:

“Could this Finn be some kind of pervert?”

Wasn’t this like those shows where people were encased in plaster to become models?

Linking this to Finn’s sudden invitation…

Han Chi clutched Chen Wei’s sleeve, his eyes full of worry.

However, Chen Wei remained calm.

Receiving the message in Han Chi’s eyes, he offered a light smile and patted Han Chi to reassure him:

“Not necessarily.”

“Don’t worry.”

In truth, the moment he saw the full room, he had already guessed Finn’s intention for inviting them today.

The mannequins weren’t specially made in his image.

It was simply Finn’s extremely fastidious eye that had resulted in this room full of mannequins with golden-ratio proportions.
