Are You Kidding Me! After Three Years as a Stand-in, You Say I’m the White Moonlight? Chapter 56

Chapter 56: We Are Not Doing It Here Today

“So, can you tell me now why you sent someone to tail me?”

As Zhou Sijin asked, he supported his waist and lifted him entirely into his arms.

The half-kneeling, straddling posture forced Chen Wei to place his hands on his shoulders for leverage.

“No reason.” Half-lowering his eyelids to avoid Zhou Sijin’s eyes, Chen Wei said flatly, “I was just purely curious about your whereabouts.”

As if pleased by his answer, Zhou Sijin chuckled lightly, giving his waist a squeeze. Leaning back slightly, he pecked the corner of his lips and said:

“Finally stopped being so stubborn with me?”

The corners of Chen Wei’s lips curled up slightly, bearing a superficial, polite smile. Without speaking, he just lowered his eyes and quietly looked at him.

Automatically taking his attitude as silent consent, Zhou Sijin didn’t notice anything amiss. Instead, he supported his waist and pulled him closer into his embrace.

Smoothly stripping away Chen Wei’s overcoat, Zhou Sijin spoke considerately:

“You don’t have to go through so much trouble next time. If you want to know my whereabouts, just text and ask me directly.”

Thinking about it, they had been together for three years, and this was the first time Zhou Sijin had told Chen Wei to text him to ask about his whereabouts.

Combined with Zhou Sijin’s series of abnormal behaviors recently.

If the incident with Ji Can hadn’t happened between them, he might have even wanted to ask Zhou Sijin if he had inexplicably fallen in love with him.

Otherwise, why would he leave Ji Can alone in the villa and run over to his place?

But from the moment he walked in until now, Zhou Sijin hadn’t mentioned a single word about Ji Can.

Watching as his clothes were stripped off piece by piece, an unprovoked wave of irritation rose from the bottom of Chen Wei’s heart.

He reached out to stop Zhou Sijin’s movements, looking down straight into his eyes.

Ignoring the fleeting flash of astonishment and surprise in Zhou Sijin’s eyes, Chen Wei’s attitude carried an undeniable hardness.

“What about Ji Can?” he asked.

“?” Zhou Sijin didn’t understand what he meant.

With his good mood interrupted, a hint of displeasure faintly appeared in the depths of his eyes.

“Why are you bringing him up out of nowhere at a time like this?”

Heh.

Chen Wei laughed mockingly in his heart.

Yes!

Why bring him up?

The questions he had prepared were swallowed entirely back into Chen Wei’s stomach.

He originally wanted to ask him, why was it that he could only enter the villa with his permission, while that boy named Ji Can could live there openly and without needing any reason?

He wanted to ask him, why with so many people trying to climb into his bed, was he the only one who succeeded—the one who looked sixty percent like Ji Can?

He wanted to ask him, did he really treat him as Ji Can’s stand-in?

But all these questions lost their meaning the moment he actually met Ji Can at the villa today.

What was the point of asking?

He couldn’t do it, nor could he bring himself to fight over a man with a face that looked so much like his brother’s.

Taking a deep breath, Chen Wei slowly closed his eyes.

When he opened his eyes again, Chen Wei casually grabbed the clothes that had been half-pulled off and put them back on.

He stood up under Zhou Sijin’s assessing gaze.

Standing firmly in front of Zhou Sijin, Chen Wei’s expression was calm.

“We are not doing it here today.”

Zhou Sijin’s deep eyes half-squinted: “What do you mean?”

Ignoring his question, Chen Wei turned and walked into the bedroom.

Zhou Sijin stood up from the sofa, perplexed, and followed his footsteps.

He watched helplessly as Chen Wei stood in front of the wardrobe and took off his overcoat.

The half-open suit then revealed a smooth, beautiful back.

Leaning against the doorframe, Zhou Sijin stared at the enticing sight not far away, his Adam’s apple bobbing slightly.

Earlier on the sofa, he had noticed something unusual inside Chen Wei’s clothes.

He only thought Chen Wei had changed his style and didn’t think much of it.

It wasn’t until now that he discovered the hidden surprise beneath his clothes.

Zhou Sijin had never seen Chen Wei in such a bold style before. The lust in his heart was ignited, and his legs began to uncontrollably walk towards Chen Wei.

As the last piece of clothing on Chen Wei dropped to the floor, Zhou Sijin stepped up behind him and wrapped his arms around him.

“Where did these clothes come from?” Zhou Sijin asked.

Not wanting him to know about his connection with Finn, Chen Wei merely explained:

“Clothes from the brand side.”

Pausing for a moment, as he broke free from Zhou Sijin’s embrace, Chen Wei didn’t forget to add:

“I have to return them tomorrow.”

A single sentence successfully extinguished those wicked thoughts in Zhou Sijin’s heart.

Glancing at the clothes scattered on the rug, a flash of pity crossed Zhou Sijin’s eyes.

Having been with Zhou Sijin for so long, usually with just one look, Chen Wei knew exactly what he was scheming.

Paying no mind to Zhou Sijin behind him, Chen Wei took a step forward, pulled a new set of clothes from the wardrobe, and then calmly put them on under Zhou Sijin’s watchful gaze.

Zhou Sijin had no idea what he was up to.

Watching his redundant actions, he subconsciously raised an eyebrow. Though confused, he didn’t interrupt him.

He didn’t ask, and Chen Wei didn’t explain.

Squatting down, he picked up the fallen clothes and hung them up neatly.

He turned to the nightstand, opened the drawer to take out a key, and then returned to the wardrobe.

Using the open wardrobe door, he inserted the key into a locked inner drawer.

With a gentle turn of the lock, the drawer popped open automatically.

Reaching in, he pulled out a black box and then pushed the drawer back shut.

Without pulling out the key, he simply closed the wardrobe doors.

Turning around, Chen Wei held the black box out to Zhou Sijin.

Zhou Sijin’s brow twitched. He didn’t immediately reach out to take it. Crossing his arms, he looked at the box with interest and asked:

“What is this?”

Chen Wei pushed the box closer to him.

“Open it and see,” he said.

Only then did Zhou Sijin raise an eyebrow and take it.

The moment the box was handed to Zhou Sijin, Chen Wei moved to leave.

Before departing, he didn’t forget to leave Zhou Sijin with a parting sentence:

“I’ll wait for you in the garage downstairs.”

Leaving Zhou Sijin standing there alone.

Staring at the black box in his hand for a long time, it wasn’t until he heard the sound of Chen Wei closing the front door in the living room…

That Zhou Sijin finally reacted, pressing the latch on the outside of the box.

The box opened in response.

The moment the box opened, the amusement and disdain originally in Zhou Sijin’s eyes were instantly replaced by sudden shock.

Another click.

Zhou Sijin almost simultaneously snapped the box shut.

Astonished by Chen Wei’s boldness, Zhou Sijin stood rooted to the spot, staring at the box in his hand, unable to calm his racing heart for a long time.

After a long while, taking a deep breath, Zhou Sijin, now mentally prepared, swallowed lightly and opened the box in his hand once more.

There was no disdain or suspicion. With a soft chuckle escaping his lips…

Closing the box, Zhou Sijin moved and followed him out of the bedroom.
