EO Romance: The Supreme Leader Is About to Enter the Crematorium Chapter 102

Chapter 102: Chief Translator

The surroundings were bright, with a heavy mechanical feel. Ye Zhile lay on a bed that could only accommodate one person. A monitor beside him was tracking his data. In the silence, only the mechanical beeping could be heard. Ye Zhile slowly opened his eyes.

The glaring environment caused him to instinctively raise his hand. As he sat up, Ye Zhile finally saw where he was—a small space of a few square meters. He couldn’t see outside; the surroundings were pure white. Before he could think of anything, the door opened.

Ye Zhile didn’t even see where the door seam was before it slid open. A tall man walked in, wearing a mask and holding a firearm. “Our boss requests your presence.”

“……” Ye Zhile was bewildered. Last time, Mid had also sent someone to say the boss requested his presence before tying him up. This time, they skipped the formalities and just kidnapped him directly.

Ye Zhile followed him out, and only then did he see the place clearly. The surroundings were filled with cabins just like this small space, with identical facilities. One couldn’t see out from the inside, but one could see in from the outside. There were people in every small cabin, connected to tubes.

Ye Zhile instantly understood where he was.

The group walked down the corridor. All along the way were people in deep slumbers. Ye Zhile looked cautiously at the bodyguard beside him. “Where… where are we going?”

The bodyguard glanced at him but didn’t answer.

Ye Zhile was taken to a laboratory. The heavy door opened, and two men were standing inside. He had seen one of them—the person who kidnapped him. Ye Zhile didn’t know the other man, but the way the man looked at him held a sort of nostalgia as if they were old friends meeting again after a long separation…

The door closed, and Ye Zhile stood at the entrance. He saw shelves filled with jars and bottles, and then his eyes fixed on a certain small vial. Ye Zhile’s eyes widened. “That’s my thing! Give it back!”

“You mean this?” Shao Mingjue picked up the small vial containing the Enigma pheromone extraction fluid. He smiled with satisfaction. “Authentic Enigma pheromones. This will be of great use to me.”

“Shameless! Why don’t you use yourself to modify pheromones? Why kidnap others?!” Ye Zhile felt a surge of anger at the thought of those people lying in the cabins, motionless and at the mercy of others.

Shao Mingjue laughed instead of getting angry. He looked at Ye Zhile. “You look very much like your father, but your personalities are different. You’re much softer-hearted than he was.”

Ye Zhile froze and asked him, “You know my Papa?”

“More than just know him…” Shao Mingjue seemed to be reminiscing about the past. “Your father was the most outstanding translator in our major back then.”

Ye Zhile frowned, scrutinizing the man. He was about the same age as his father. He hit the nail on the head. “You aren’t a pursuer of my Papa, are you?”

Shao Mingjue smiled and shook his head. The words that followed left Ye Zhile shocked. “I am your father’s first love.”

“Impossible!” Ye Zhile knew Wen Yumiao’s character well. “My Papa and my Father have been together for over thirty years! They have three sons! They are very much in love!”

At the mention of Ye Junting, Shao Mingjue’s expression changed. “Your father was the homewrecker! He destroyed the relationship between Yumiao and me!”

“Bullshit! You’re the homewrecker!” Ye Zhile pointed at him and cursed. “You must have used some means to be with my Papa! My Papa isn’t the kind of person who changes his mind so easily!”

How dare he curse his Father and Papa! Despicable!

Shao Chen glanced at Shao Mingjue. “So the old friend you mentioned was your first love? Then what is my mother to you?”

Ye Zhile’s eyes widened, and he pointed at Shao Mingjue. “You still have the nerve to call someone else a homewrecker? You already have a wife, and your child is older than me! Yet here you are thinking about my Papa! Scumbag!”

Shao Mingjue calmed down and said to Shao Chen, “Your mother knew everything; she chose to marry me of her own free will.”

“Hoh! So you can think about someone else with a clear conscience? You’re way too shameless!” Ye Zhile said whatever came to mind, completely fearless.

Shao Mingjue probably hadn’t expected Ye Zhile to be so talkative and became a bit annoyed. “Your father was the homewrecker! When Yumiao and I were together, he was always hanging around Yumiao. What was that if not seduction?!”

Ye Zhile didn’t believe him. “Then you tell me, how did you and my Papa get together, and how did you break up?”

Now, Shao Mingjue stopped talking.

Thirty-some years ago, Wen Yumiao was an outstanding student in the translation major, a refined Top Omega with many pursuers at school. Shao Mingjue was one of them, but he was only a low-level Alpha who couldn’t attract a Top Omega. He couldn’t even provide simple pheromone soothing.

But Shao Mingjue was very good at acting. He acted like a gentleman, acting considerate, and manufactured a series of ‘hero saving the beauty’ stories. Unfortunately, none of this made Wen Yumiao look at him twice. It was only later, when the school was attacked by Rhea Star, that Shao Mingjue took a bullet for Wen Yumiao. This moved Wen Yumiao, and under Shao Mingjue’s bitter pleas, he finally agreed to try being together.

But there were too many obstacles between an unequal Alpha and Omega. Furthermore, Wen Yumiao didn’t like Shao Mingjue’s way of doing things—he was flashy and high-profile, showing off their relationship everywhere. Wen Yumiao couldn’t take it anymore and proposed a breakup, but Shao Mingjue wouldn’t agree.

Until one time, translators were selected from several famous universities in the Capital. Two of the spots were for Wen Yumiao and Shao Mingjue. Wen Yumiao had always been the top of the class, and after being given time to review, he directly won the spot to become the Chief Translator for the Federation. Shao Mingjue was unwilling, and more importantly, he didn’t want Wen Yumiao to leave his side.

He watched the news every day. At that time, Ye Junting was the reserve minister for the Military Department, following along for negotiations at the Federation. Wen Yumiao was the Chief Translator, so the two naturally had contact. Every time he saw them talking and laughing together, Shao Mingjue would go crazy with anger.

He would pick a fight with Wen Yumiao as soon as he returned. He would grab the Omega’s wrist and question him sharply, “Are you very happy to see a Top Alpha? You think there’s a possibility for you two?”

“Get this straight: you were the one who begged to be with me. Don’t use that tone with me.” Wen Yumiao felt the man was mentally unstable and didn’t want to argue with a madman. He shook off Shao Mingjue’s hand and turned to leave. Shao Mingjue looked at him as if he were going insane.

Later, Wen Yumiao’s heat arrived. The house was full of the scent of osmanthus. The Omega lying in bed was in agony, yet Shao Mingjue could do nothing. He couldn’t even sense the Omega’s sweet pheromones.

Wen Yumiao was nearly tortured to death and was finally rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. When he woke up the next day, he resolutely broke up with him.

Shao Mingjue knelt and begged, cried and begged, but couldn’t win the Omega back. It wasn’t until half a year later that he saw Wen Yumiao and Ye Junting happily together…

“So you went crazy? And then you started kidnapping people to modify pheromones? You’re sick! Those other people are innocent!” Ye Zhile looked at him with disdain. “Trying to force things and acting like it’s noble. Please, my Papa doesn’t even like you, and you aren’t a match.”

His Papa and Father were a perfect match; they were still so in love after all these years, Ye Zhile thought proudly.
