EO Romance: The Supreme Leader Is About to Enter the Crematorium Chapter 105

Chapter 105: Extracting Pheromones

Ye Zhile and Shen Tingyuan were locked in cabins again. It was like being in prison—let out for a meal and then locked back in.

The space in the cabin was too small and airtight; it was a torture to one’s mind. Ye Zhile tried his best to relax, but he couldn’t overcome the fear in his heart. He shrank into a corner and buried his head.

With a click, someone came in from outside. Two people in white lab coats walked toward Ye Zhile, holding syringes. Ye Zhile shrank back in fear. “What are you doing?”

Shao Mingjue walked in. He admired the fearful expression on Ye Zhile’s face. The resemblance to Wen Yumiao gave him a sense of pleasure. He said, “I want to modify your pheromones into E-level pheromones.”

“Didn’t you say you would respect my wishes? I don’t want to!” Ye Zhile struggled. “Let go! What you’re doing is illegal!”

“Don’t worry, we’re just extracting pheromone fluid right now. Do you think modification is that easy?” Shao Mingjue chuckled softly. “But if you want it to be fast, that’s fine too. It’s just that an Omega’s body generally can’t withstand such a high dosage. I don’t want you to die; Yumiao would be heartbroken.”

“Madman!” Ye Zhile’s hands and feet were secured to the bed. A sharp needle pierced his gland, and then a tube was inserted. “Ugh!”

A swelling pain spread through his limbs. It felt as if he were being carved open with a knife. Ye Zhile’s scalp felt like it was exploding. He was like a dying fish on a chopping board, not even having the strength to breathe. Finally, he fainted from the pain.

The two people in lab coats extracted a test tube and showed it to Shao Mingjue, who nodded in satisfaction. He set up the monitoring machine for Ye Zhile, and the group left.

Ye Zhile fell into a heavy sleep, all the strength drained from his body, unable to move. He didn’t know how long he was unconscious, nor did he know the situation outside.

At this moment, on the mountain behind the research base, Ye Zhichen hurried over. “I found the door. It’s in the northwest; we have to go around.”

“Where is Minister Ye?” Ji Shuohan asked. The man stood at the edge of a cliff, with broad shoulders and long legs, his aura exceptional. Beside him stood a majestic Snow Lion, looking down at the base below like a leader lurking in the night.

“My Father has already surrounded the research base with troops. We only need to attack from the front gate, and none of them will escape,” Ye Zhichen said.

“We don’t know the situation inside; attacking blindly isn’t advisable,” Ye Zhijin said.

A cold wind blew gently. In the silence, Ji Shuohan said, “I’ll go inside to check the situation. Major Ye, take your men to meet with Minister Ye. Vice Minister Ye, wait at the front gate with your men for now. There’s no signal here, and nothing can be sent out from inside. This Snow Lion can sense my condition; come in when the time is right.”

“Okay.”

With that, Ji Shuohan vanished into the night sky.

The pheromone gene modification research base was deep in the mountains. From the outside, it looked like a sphere with a high-tech feel. The surroundings were airtight, making it impossible to tell where the doors and windows were—or if they even existed.

Ji Shuohan went around the spherical structure of the base. On the way, he took care of two patrolling guards and then saw someone entering and exiting. Ji Shuohan could only change into a bodyguard’s attire—a vest and camouflage pants, holding a firearm, plus a robber-like mask that only exposed his eyes, nose, and mouth.

But Ji Shuohan’s height and aura were too noticeable. He blended into the back of the group. To avoid being noticed, he kept his head down as he followed the group inside and then took advantage of their lack of attention to sneak away through the stairwell.

The interior was very spacious, with cabins tightly packed together. The monotonous white and the silent environment were spine-chilling, especially those people who were motionless and at the mercy of others for modification.

Ji Shuohan didn’t have time to think much. He searched up and down for Ye Zhile until he stood outside the corridor on the third floor and saw him lying quietly inside. Ji Shuohan’s heart skipped a beat, and he found the button to open the door.

Ji Shuohan strode in. He took off his mask and looked at the data displayed on the machine, his expression dark as if covered in frost.

“Zhile?” Ji Shuohan cautiously helped him up and tried to wake him. “Zhile?”

Ye Zhile slowly woke up. When he opened his eyes and saw the person who had arrived, his tears burst out, sliding down the corners of his eyes. “Wuu…”

Ji Shuohan’s heart ached. He cupped the youth’s face, leaning his forehead against his own intimately. “Don’t be afraid. I’m here.”

“They… extracted my pheromones…” Ye Zhile said with a grievance.

Ji Shuohan was stunned. He looked at Ye Zhile’s gland; it was already swollen and eroded. His eyes suddenly turned red, and he coaxed him, “Zhile… your gland is severely injured. I can’t give you a pheromone mark. Can you hold on a bit? We’re going to the hospital.”

“Okay…” Ye Zhile leaned weakly in Ji Shuohan’s embrace.

Ji Shuohan released his pheromones to wrap around him and carried him out. However, what awaited them outside was Shao Mingjue’s men. Ji Shuohan stopped, looking at the black gun muzzles pointed at them from both sides of the corridor. He placed Ye Zhile back in the cabin and instructed him, “Wait for me here obediently. Don’t run around, okay?”

Ye Zhile nodded. Then Ji Shuohan walked out. He moved freely, and in the blink of an eye, he arrived before those people, snatching their firearms. Only several bangs were heard as he took down the group in front.

At this moment, the Snow Lion beside Ye Zhijin suddenly became agitated, roaring toward the inside. Ye Zhijin immediately ordered, “Everyone, charge in!”

Ye Zhile sat in the cabin with his knees hugged. He listened to the gunfire outside, but it felt as if it were at the end of the world, sounding unreal. He was probably exhausted.

“Ye Zhile?” Shao Chen entered and saw the youth shrinking into a corner in fear. Hearing his voice, Ye Zhile looked up in a daze. “Shao Chen?”

“While it’s chaotic outside, I’ll take you away from here,” Shao Chen said, coming over to help Ye Zhile up.

Ye Zhile hesitated. “But…”

But Ji Shuohan had told him to wait here. What if he couldn’t find him?

“The Leader is an Enigma; he can protect himself. But your pheromones have been extracted, and your body is weak. If my father’s men find you, it won’t be good if they use you as a threat,” Shao Chen said. Usually such a silent and calm person, he was somewhat flustered at this moment.

Ye Zhile felt something was wrong, but Shao Chen gave him no chance to think, directly pulling him away.

The battle outside was fierce, with bullets flying all over the room. Shao Chen shielded Ye Zhile as they crouched and dodged.

When Ye Zhijin charged in with his men, Ji Shuohan’s firearm was sweeping through the bodyguards one by one. In an instant, he arrived beside Ye Zhijin. “These people are all modified; be careful. Send a group to rescue the hostages while I go get Zhile.”

“Okay,” Ye Zhijin replied, having some people rescue the hostages while others controlled the area.

However, when Ji Shuohan hurried upstairs, there was no longer any sign of Ye Zhile in the cabin.
