EO Romance: The Supreme Leader Is About to Enter the Crematorium Chapter 132 extra 4

Side Story 4: Ji Shuohan & Ye Zhile

After the parent-teacher meeting concluded, Ye Zhile followed the homeroom teacher to the office. The teacher went straight to the point. “Student Ji Zhile has no interest in studying. In class, he’s either sleeping or playing games with the students behind him, which negatively affects the class atmosphere.”

“Yes.” Ye Zhile listened to the lecture obediently. “Teacher, I’d like to ask about the fighting. What exactly happened?”

“Do you and his father not look into it?” the teacher asked.

Ye Zhile felt ashamed. “His father and I are quite busy with work and often aren’t home; his uncles have been managing things.”

His eldest and second brothers pampered Ji Zhile, often covering for him, and both he and Ji Shuohan had the intent to dote on him as well. Thus, they didn’t pry much, often turning a blind eye.

“Last month, because a classmate confessed to him, he beat the boy up. That student was so aggrieved,” the teacher sighed.

“His eldest uncle didn’t mention this to me. I’ll ask about it when I get back.” In Ye Zhile’s eyes, while Ji Zhile fought often, he wouldn’t hit someone without reason. He needed to understand the truth before making a judgment.

Stepping out of the office, he found Ji Zhile waiting by the door. Ye Zhile took his hand. “Let’s go home.”

“What did the teacher say to you?” Ji Zhile observed Ye Zhile’s face, which remained as calm as usual.

Ye Zhile asked him, “Zhile, I have some questions. Will you answer me truthfully?”

Ji Zhile nodded. “Okay.”

“Your teacher said you beat a classmate because they confessed to you. Why?” Ye Zhile asked.

Ji Zhile was silent for a moment, looking at his mother’s analytical expression. He answered truthfully, “Because he wasn’t confessing to me, he was harassing me. He said he wanted to possess an Omega like me, saying that someone with a fiery temper would be very soft ‘in that situation’ and things like that…”

They all called Ji Zhile the school beauty—a fiery-tempered young master from a wealthy family. There were many who tried to curry favor with him, but also many classless Alphas who harassed him. Some only dared to mutter behind his back, but that person had spoken such lewd words to his face.

Despite his temper, Ji Zhile was still an Omega and couldn’t stomach such insults. His eyes began to moisten as he spoke.

Ye Zhile’s heart ached terribly, and he pulled him into a hug. “Be good, don’t cry. It’s because Papa and Mama were negligent and didn’t notice. Mama will definitely get justice for you.”

“Mhm…” Ji Zhile was overcome with grievance, his eyes welling up. Ye Zhile couldn’t bear to see him like this, and his own eyes turned red.

Back in the car, Ye Zhile took his hand. “Zhile, have you thought about what you want to do in the future?”

Ji Zhile thought for a moment, his eyes lighting up. “I want to join the military academy. Studying is too hard, I just can’t absorb any of it.”

“Ah?” Ye Zhile said hesitantly. “But Zhile, you still need good grades to get into the military academy.”

“Oh?” Ji Zhile looked despondent. Ye Zhile said, “Zhile, you can’t get into the military academy just by wishing for it. If you wanted houses or cars, Papa and Mama could give them to you, but getting into the academy relies solely on yourself.”

“Alright…” Ji Zhile was dejected. Ye Zhile asked him again, “How about we change schools? I don’t think you’re very happy here. Would you like to go to Jin Xing’s school? You’d have a companion.”

“Great! Then I can go home with Jin Xing Gege after school every day,” Ji Zhile thought happily.

Having resolved two issues, Ye Zhile let out a long sigh of relief. Recalling the filthy things that Alpha had said to Zhile, his brow furrowed again.

“Mama.” Ji Zhile leaned against his shoulder. “Do you not object to me entering the military academy?”

“Why would I object?” Ye Zhile asked back.

“They all say that Omegas have poor stamina, and that heat cycles are a disaster; they say we should just stay at home,” Ji Zhile said.

Ye Zhile pondered for a moment before saying, “If it were anyone else, I might not mind, but for you, as long as you love it, you should go for it.”

“Why?” Ji Zhile looked up. Ye Zhile smiled. “Because your Papa and I will protect you well; we will always be your backing. An Omega entering the military academy faces the heat cycle as a major challenge; it’s very dangerous. Without protection, it’s truly difficult. But those who complete their dreams regardless of the danger are already very impressive just for having that determination.”

“That’s my dream too!” Ji Zhile’s spirit suddenly soared. “I must get into the military academy!”

“Then you’ll have to study hard,” Ye Zhile reminded him.

“Okay!”

That evening, Ye Zhile told Ji Shuohan about it. He said sadly, “We criticized him for fighting without ever understanding what he went through at school. That’s not right at all. What that student said was way too much; Zhile was being light on him.”

Ji Shuohan held him close. “Calm down. This is my fault. I’ll go to the school tomorrow and have them handle it.”

“It’s because we didn’t pay attention to him in time that he suffered such a huge grievance.” Ye Zhile leaned against his chest, deeply saddened.

“It won’t happen again. No matter how busy we are, we must stay updated on his school life,” Ji Shuohan followed his lead. “Mhm…”

Ji Zhile was currently in a fierce battle in his room when his father suddenly knocked. Startled, he misfired a shot, exposing his position. He hurriedly replied, “Wha- What is it?”

“Are you playing games?” Ji Shuohan asked.

“Yes…” Ji Zhile answered reluctantly, his keyboard clacking away.

“I’ll come back in once you’re finished.” With that, Ji Shuohan left.

“Oh…” Ji Zhile was stunned. Oh? He’s so easy to talk to today?

Once he finished the game, he immediately put on a show of taking out his homework. Ji Shuohan didn’t call him out on it, sitting down to ask, “I heard from your mother that you want to apply for the military academy?”

Ji Zhile gave a small nod. “Yeah…”

“That’s good.” Ji Shuohan sighed and added, “Your mother said I was too harsh with you, so I’m apologizing. It was Papa’s fault.”

“It’s fine.” Ji Zhile gave a generous smile. “The fact that you can apologize already makes you better than most fathers.”

“…” Ji Shuohan smiled and asked, “Why didn’t you say anything about being bullied at school? You didn’t even tell your uncles. Being insulted like that and then even being blamed—weren’t you aggrieved?”

Hearing this, Ji Zhile’s lip trembled, and he began to cry. “I was… Hearing those horrible things felt worse than being hit. I’ve never felt so wronged in my life, ugh… and Uncle always has to handle my messes, I didn’t want to trouble him anymore…”

“Don’t cry, don’t cry.” Ji Shuohan held him, wiping his tears helplessly. “I just finished coaxing your mother, and now I have to coax you.”

“Ugh… Papa…” Ji Zhile cried even more heart-wrenchingly. Ji Shuohan comforted him, “Be good and stop crying. Papa will get justice for you tomorrow, okay?” “We won’t let our Zhile suffer even a single grievance.”

“Okay…” Ji Zhile sobbed, leaning into his father’s arms, finally looking like an Omega in front of his parents.

Ji Shuohan only returned to the bedroom after coaxing Ji Zhile to sleep. His wife was sitting on the bed reading. He walked over, feeling exhausted. “Ji Zhile is exactly like you when he cries. Every time he starts, it’s like the sky is falling. He cries so heart-wrenchingly that it makes one’s heart skip a beat.”

“Haha…” Ye Zhile couldn’t help but laugh, cupping his face for a kiss. “Shuohan Gege, you’ve worked hard.”

“Don’t call me Shuohan Gege,” Ji Shuohan said solemnly. “I’m not considering a third child for the time being.”

“Hahaha! Are you crazy!” Ye Zhile slapped him playfully. “Can you be serious for once? Yunchu is twenty, and Zhile is sixteen. Do you think that’s even possible?”

“It’s not.” Ji Shuohan had only been speaking offhandedly; he had no intention of having more.

“How is it that the older you get, the less serious you become?” Ye Zhile asked. Ji Shuohan looked as if he’d been struck in a sore spot, his face full of shock. “Older? The average lifespan in the Empire is two hundred years!” “And it’s continuing to increase! I’m still considered a youth! What do you mean ‘older’?! Don’t talk nonsense!”

Ye Zhile replied calmly, “Don’t get so worked up… I wasn’t saying you look old, just the age…”

“I’m not old in age either!” Ji Shuohan interrupted him. “I’m in my prime!”

Ye Zhile shut his mouth. If he continued, his Enigma husband would have a total breakdown!

What Ji Shuohan felt insecure about wasn’t just the harm he’d caused during his amnesia, but also the twelve-year age gap. Even after all these years of marriage, he still brooded over it every time it was mentioned.

“I’m so annoyed…” Ji Shuohan grumbled.

Ye Zhile suppressed his laughter, not daring to let out a sound, or the Enigma would truly be hurt.

Seeing his expression of wanting to laugh but holding it back, Ji Shuohan looked at that face, which was still as beautiful as ever but now possessed a gentleness refined by time. His heart skipped a beat, and his eyes darkened.

“What is it?” Ye Zhile sensed danger and shrank back.

“Tonight, I’ll let you know exactly what a youth’s stamina is like,” Ji Shuohan declared.

With that, he pulled Ye Zhile into his arms.

“Ah!” Ye Zhile screamed in surprise, then couldn’t stop laughing as Ji Shuohan teased him. “I was wrong, I was wrong! Haha… you’re the youth! I’m the senior, okay?”

“Who are you subtly insulting now?” Ji Shuohan cupped his face. Ye Zhile kept laughing and shook his head. “I’m not… Hahaha…”

Not only could one not mention an Alpha’s age, now one couldn’t mention an Enigma’s age either.
