How Did the Promised Yandere Villain Become a Clingy, Obedient Dog? Chapter 119

Chapter 119: Ransoming

The man opposite couldn’t understand what Cheng Ge was saying at all. He roughly grabbed Cheng Ge’s hair and pulled out the rag stuffed in his mouth. “What the hell are you jabbering about, huh!?”

Cheng Ge suppressed a gut full of anger, his tone as peaceful as possible: “I said let’s discuss something. Whatever the other side gave you, we can give you double, and we won’t report you, as long as you’re willing to let us go.”

The two men exchanged a look. One ruthlessly grabbed Cheng Ge’s hair, and Cheng Ge took another punch to the stomach. “Why the hell should I believe you? Where would you get so much money!?”

Cheng Ge was in so much pain he could barely maintain his expression, and he was so angry his molars were almost crushed. He took a deep breath.

“It’s not that I have money, it’s this boy next to me who has money. He has several luxury villas, any one of which is worth tens of millions or over a hundred million. I’m really not lying to you. If he weren’t rich, I wouldn’t have come to save him.”

The ones opposite fell silent again. Cheng Ge continued.

“He’s very generous. If I save him, he’ll give me a lot of money. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have gone to save him. Good brothers wouldn’t risk their lives if there wasn’t money involved, right?”

“And he’s very easy to cheat. Don’t provoke him; be a bit nicer to him. Coax him and lie to him a bit, and he’ll give all the money to you.”

The man grabbed Cheng Ge’s neck: “Why should we believe you won’t call the police!?” Although it was still a questioning tone, the other side was clearly wavering.

“Cough, cough-cough!” Cheng Ge coughed sharply from being strangled. “Brother, my life is on the line, how could I lie to you? How about this, Brother, I’ve thought of a way.”

“I’ll stay here as a hostage. You just say I was caught trying to save him and tell him to go back and get the money. He’s very loyal; he’ll definitely bring the money to you. When the time comes, you just need to give me a tiny bit. That way you can believe me, right?”

“I still have to give you a share!?”

Cheng Ge cursed a thousand times in his heart: “Then all the money goes to you. Just give me a break.”

“He has twenty million, right?” one of the men asked.

Cheng Ge guaranteed: “He definitely has. He can get that money just by selling one house.”

The car was silent for a moment. Then Cheng Ge heard the two men say something in low voices, and the car started again.

Cheng Ge grew even more anxious: “Brothers, what is this?”

“Jabber again and I’ll stab you to death!”

Cheng Ge: “…”

The car kept driving. Suddenly, one of the men yanked Wen Ling up. “Damn it, why isn’t he awake yet!? So weak!”

“Hey!” Cheng Ge hit the man’s hand. “Don’t touch him!”

“You dare hit me!” Cheng Ge was yanked over and took two more punches. “I’m going to beat you to death.”

He didn’t know if Wen Ling had been hurt. Cheng Ge was also anxious and angry. He bore several punches in silence. When he couldn’t take it anymore, he gritted his teeth and spoke: “Wait a moment, cough, Brother, wait a moment. I really didn’t do it on purpose.”

“He’s a bit cowardly. If you scare him, it’ll be hard to negotiate terms.”

“So many problems!”

“People from rich families are more delicate. Brothers, don’t tie him up; be nice to him so it’s easier to negotiate.”

“Based on my understanding of him, he definitely needs to be coaxed after going through so many things. Once I coax him and his heart softens, he’ll be quick to give the money. He’s just the type who has more money than brains…”

Cheng Ge said everything he could. On the premise that they had given Cheng Ge an injection to make his body limp and powerless, they were finally willing to untie him.

Cheng Ge used all his strength and only then managed to support the limp Wen Ling.

With his back to the two men, Cheng Ge carefully held Wen Ling. The already thin person was as light as a feather right now, and the unease in Cheng Ge’s heart grew exponentially.

His hand gently stroked Wen Ling’s head and hair, his face pressed against Wen Ling’s face. Cheng Ge suppressed his heavy breathing as much as possible.

Wen Ling’s face was covered in sweat from being stifled. Cheng Ge used the back of his hand to help him wipe it away. He also hugged Wen Ling and patted his back, secretly untying the rope around Wen Ling’s hands.

“Cheng Ge…”

Cheng Ge’s movement paused. He seemed to hear Wen Ling calling him, but it was too soft and ethereal.

Cheng Ge’s ear pressed close to Wen Ling, his face pressed against Wen Ling’s lips. He felt that Wen Ling’s lips were indeed moving.

“Behave yourself!” the man pushed Cheng Ge hard, almost making him fall off the seat.

“I know, Brother.” Cheng Ge held Wen Ling tight. Unable to care about anything else, even with his strength, he could only loosely hold Wen Ling’s hand.

Cheng Ge felt Wen Ling’s originally limp body slowly tense up.

Cheng Ge secretly moved the blindfold over their eyes a bit. When he lowered his head, he could catch a glimpse of Wen Ling’s face.

Wen Ling’s hand moved in Cheng Ge’s palm, moving from his palm to his fingertips before stopping.

Cheng Ge’s breathing stopped for an instant, then returned to normal. He gave a reassuring squeeze to Wen Ling’s shoulder and tied the rope back around Wen Ling loosely.

Only after a good while did Cheng Ge turn back and say “he’s awake.”

In the back seat of the car, Wen Ling’s ties had been loosened, while Cheng Ge had been tied back up.

“Hey,” the scarred man yanked Cheng Ge’s hair and roared at Wen Ling: “Isn’t this your good brother? He was caught trying to save you. If you want him to live, bring twenty million to ransom him. Otherwise, I’ll chop him up and throw him in the mountains.”

“Don’t scare him,” Cheng Ge was in so much pain he couldn’t control his expression. He cursed the man’s ancestors in his heart, took a breath, and then called “help” toward Wen Ling.

Wen Ling’s eyes were fixed on Cheng Ge and those filthy hands grabbing Cheng Ge’s hair.

Wen Ling’s expression was cold, yet also quite dazed. There was no emotion at all in his eyes; he truly looked as if he had been scared silly.

The other man driving wanted to get the money quickly and had no choice but to soften his tone slightly: “Drive down and there’s a small village. Call your family and tell them to send the money there. Once we have the money, we’ll let him go.”

“Help! Hurry and get the money to save me.” Cheng Ge looked at Wen Ling and called out twice in coordination.

“Cheng Ge…” Wen Ling grabbed Cheng Ge’s hand, his eyes turning red.

The scarred man couldn’t stand such a sentimental scene. He grabbed Cheng Ge’s neck. “Damn you, hurry and get the money to ransom him!”

“Don’t touch him!” Wen Ling’s voice carried a bit of a sob. “I need to hug him first.”

“Holy crap, damn it!” The scarred man was about to die of anger. Is there something wrong with this boy’s brain!? How could someone still be thinking about hugging in a situation like this!?

“Brother, Brother, Brother,” Cheng Ge hurriedly explained: “This is just his personality. He’s cowardly. Rich people need to be coaxed. I have experience,” he finished in a small voice: “Only when he’s coaxed will there be money.”

The man driving was also annoyed and urged fiercely: “Hurry up!”

The scarred man grabbed Cheng Ge’s collar, staring at the two boys’ every move.

Wen Ling buried himself in Cheng Ge’s embrace, his arms circling Cheng Ge’s waist. The back of his hand touched the scarred man’s thigh.

Wen Ling: “I’m afraid…”

Cheng Ge: “Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid. I’m here.”

Wen Ling: “Are you okay?”

Cheng Ge: “I’m fine. I’ll be fine once you get the money to ransom me…”

Wen Ling: “Does it hurt?”

Cheng Ge: “It’s okay, it’s okay. Good brother, hurry and get the money to ransom me…”

The man driving didn’t have much patience left. With a stony face, he looked up, about to urge again, only to catch a glimpse of a pair of eyes that were cold to the extreme in the rearview mirror.

The man jerked the steering wheel. The car swerved, and Wen Ling was thrown violently back into the rear seat.

“Wen Ling!” Cheng Ge had managed with great difficulty to cut the rope around his hands. Before he could support the other, the car swerved again, and Wen Ling’s entire body crashed back onto Cheng Ge.

The man driving looked back; the scarred man had already passed out.

“Damn it!” The man driving swerved the car, pulled out a knife, and stabbed toward the rear seat.

“Watch out!” Cheng Ge quickly pushed Wen Ling away, but Wen Ling’s sleeve was still slashed open, and a red cut appeared on his arm.

Wen Ling didn’t make a sound. Bearing the pain, he lifted his hand and stabbed it into the driver’s arm.

“Shit!” The driver’s head spun with dizziness. He slammed his foot on the accelerator, locking it. The car’s speed instantly became terrifyingly fast.

“You’re all going to die with me!”

Ahead was a rugged, steep mountain. No one would survive crashing into it at this speed.

Cheng Ge’s heart skipped a beat. Gritting his teeth, he quickly pulled open the car door and jumped out with Wen Ling in his arms.
