Chapter 224
The group put on their blindfolds and lined up, each placing a hand on the shoulder of the person in front of them as they walked forward. Lin Xuyi led the way, the two Omegas were positioned in front of Shen Shuyu, and Chi Yanxun, being a step slower than Feng Xing, ended up at the very back of the line.
Chi Yanxun suppressed the displeasure in his heart. He told himself not to worry; once the escape room officially began, he would have plenty of opportunities to be alone with Shen Shuyu.
After the owner arranged everyone into chairs one by one, he spoke. “Please remove your blindfolds.”

He walked out with the blindfolds. The group looked around and realized they were in a classroom.

A broadcast rang out in the room, announcing the background story:

Feng Xing walked toward Lin Xuyi, and the four-person group finally moved.
Shen Shuyu said, “Let’s get started too.”

Lin Xuyi looked down. The hand he had reached in with was dripping with blood. Beside him, Feng Xing swallowed hard and silently moved a step closer to Shen Shuyu. Before he could even open his mouth, he felt someone blowing on his neck. It was ice-cold. Feng Xing instinctively turned his head and said, “Are youâ”
He didn’t finish the word “crazy” before he came face-to-face with a ghostly visage only a few centimeters away.
“Fuck!” Feng Xing couldn’t help but curse, jumping back and hiding behind Shen Shuyu.
The lights went out again. This time, even the green light they had been using to see disappeared. Only the oil lamp on the door remained lit.
“Unbelievable. Why is this escape room so scary?” Feng Xing grumbled.
“How are you even worse than the two Omegas? I didn’t see that coming, Feng Xing,” Lin Xuyi teased.
Shen Shuyu said, “Let’s just go. Let’s get to the next room first.”
He took the lead. Feng Xing immediately followed, claiming he was protecting Shen Shuyu, even though he was the one clutching Shuyu tightly.
Shen Shuyu dragged him forward, saying helplessly, “What are you afraid of?”
“…Who’s afraid? I’m protecting you, aren’t I?” Feng Xing insisted stubbornly. He could handle staying in a dark room, but having that face pressed against his just now was too much; it looked too real.
Shen Shuyu felt his other hand being grabbed as well. He turned his head.
Uh… Chi Yanxun?
Chi Yanxun said with a cold, stiff face, “I’m scared.”
Shen Shuyu was speechless, but he didn’t say anything.

He lifted his hand to check his wrist. Before they had sat down, the owner had given them all wristbands with letters like A, B, C, and D on them. They hadn’t known why at the time, but now it was clearâit was for two-person tasks.
