I Heard I’m the Only Healing Cub in the Interstellar Chapter 24.2

Part 2

A layer of blood-colored mist appeared on the black tiger’s body, and black substances tumbled within the mist, eager to approach the cub and devour his flesh. The Ghost Vine grew rapidly, weaving a cradle to catch the cub precisely. Immediately following, the pink light-strands turned into bandages to wrap the wounds; the chopstick-thick blood-holes stopped bleeding and healed slowly.

The pain in his body made Shen Lin know even more clearly that the black tiger in front of him was real. He flipped over and climbed up, throwing himself at the black tiger again.

“Roar!” “Ying ying…”

Baba, it’s Cub-cub. Don’t you recognize Cub-cub?

“Roar!” “Ying ying…”

Baba, Cub-cub missed you so much~

The black tiger roared in fury, swatting the pink ball away time and time again. In the next second, the pink ball would take the initiative to stick to it again, even though that smooth, soft fur had become dirty and wet, and his small body was shivering.

The clarity in the black tiger’s eyes was completely submerged by blood-red. Losing its reason, it revealed its grim fangs. It wanted to tear this annoying little thing to pieces!

Its huge mouth opened, revealing two rows of sharp teeth that could easily crush the outer shells of the Zerg. One must know that even energy cannons had a hard time blasting through the protective outer shell of the Zerg, yet the black tiger could easily bite them open—this showed how terrifying its bite force was.

Could the pink ball’s shell be as hard as a Zerg’s? Obviously not, but he had a cheat!

Shen Lin didn’t dodge, facing the black tiger’s huge mouth as a stench-filled wind blew toward him. The pink light-strands rippled with waves of light, and the Ghost Vine turned into thousands of vines to entangle the black tiger.

“Ba… save… you…”

Shen Lin: “…”

Forgive the cub’s current unclear articulation; the words he spoke were a bit rebellious. Shen Lin felt guilty and hoped that when Baba woke up, he wouldn’t be angry with the cub~

The pink light-strands drilled into the black tiger’s brain, wanting to link with the mental sea further. But around the black tiger’s mental sea, thick walls of copper and iron had been built. The pink light-strands darted left and right; not only did they fail to break through the protective layer, but they were also rejected by the black tiger’s consciousness. The pink light-strands were ejected, and the light on the strands dimmed slightly.

“Ugh~”

Shen Lin let out a small cry of pain. He prepared to forcibly break through the black tiger’s protective layer, but he would have to face the all-around hostility of the mental sea. If Li Heng’s mental sea was a red flame that scorched the world and was a forbidden zone for living creatures, then Baba’s mental sea was white frost and snow that froze for thousands of miles with biting winds.

Before his consciousness even approached, he felt a bone-chilling cold. He subconsciously shuddered. The pink light-strands paused, then quickly shuttled to make a piece of warm clothing to put on the cub; warmth flowed continuously from the pink sweater. Shen Lin’s face regained some color.

But in the next second, that newly ruddy face turned deathly pale the moment his consciousness entered the black tiger’s brain. Shen Lin’s consciousness was like a wet rag being wrung back and forth by an invisible hand, even more like a bone-scraping knife scraping off bone powder and bone marrow layer by layer. The cub trembled all over from pain, whimpers coming from his throat.

The Ghost Vine grew and extended crazily, its vines continuously entangling the black tiger. it was trying to ease its master’s pain. The black tiger felt the abnormality coming from its brain and shook its head uncomfortably; the Ghost Vines snapped one after another. Before a bridge was properly established, the black tiger was filled with extreme rejection toward external consciousness.

Shen Lin was unprotected and was swatted away again, spitting out pieces of bloodied internal organs. Healing energy quickly repaired the ruptured internal organs, but after losing too much vital blood, the cub’s mental state was lethargic.

Shen Lin wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and, with the help of the Ghost Vine, leaped onto the bridge of the black tiger’s nose. A pair of huge, blood-red pupils reflected the figure of a dirty little red panda.

Shen Lin suddenly realized: could it be that Big Monster Baba didn’t recognize his current appearance? Did that mean as long as he changed back to his previous look, Big Monster Baba would recognize him?

Change! Quick, change!

The cub tried again and again, until suddenly an inexplicable energy surged within his body. He grew short little hands and feet, grew a round body, and changed back to his previous human cub body. His appearance hadn’t changed, except he was more tender than he was at age three.

The short-handed, short-legged cub crawled forward.

“Ugh~”

It hurt so much! The cub looked down and saw that his two white, tender, fat little hands had been pierced with blood-holes by the short thorns on the black tiger’s nose. Shen Lin only gave it a look and didn’t bother with the wounds, persisting in crawling forward.

“…Ba… Ba…”

The cub called out one word at a time, trying to wake Big Monster Baba’s reason. Even though his throat was swollen from shouting and his soft milk voice had become hoarse, he never gave up. His hoarse little milk voice echoed in the jungle, again and again… Large tears rolled down.

Scorching. Burning hot. Whether they were tears or blood, they were so hot that the black tiger let out a roar, and the boulders under its claws cracked into deep ravines.

That door, which had been printed with tiny handprints in blood, opened. The pink light-strands took the opportunity to drill inside.

Broken, deathly silent… This was a world devoid of life. An invisible knife had split the sky and the earth apart. The broken starry sky tilted downward. Day and night were reversed, black pollution sources intruded upon the land, and the space became dark and oppressive. Frozen for thousands of miles, bitingly cold.

Standing on the ruins, Shen Lin looked down and saw black sludge like an abyss devouring the life of this world.

Plop!

Tears hit the parched ground like pearls. Having changed worlds, how did Big Monster Baba end up even worse? With so much trash, when would he ever finish picking it up? The cub grumbled, but his body was very honest about picking up trash. The pink light-strands on his body turned into a city cleaning truck, stepping on the gas and rumbling as they began to work.

It wasn’t until he was exhausted and the city cleaning truck went on strike that Shen Lin stopped. He felt a needle-like stinging pain in his brain. He turned to look at the area where the black pollution had been cleared. At some point, the biting snow and wind had vanished, and the frozen ground revealed its original appearance.

Pop!

When a tender sapling emerged from the soil, its dew-covered bud faced the cold wind, resilient and growing. It wasn’t the only one. With one “pop” after another, the earth where the snow had begun to melt gradually gained dots of green, until they covered the entire “cleaned” ground. Water the size of chopsticks seeped from underground, slowly flowing toward the parched riverbed, nourishing this land.

He believed it wouldn’t be long before this world regained its vitality. The cub stood with his hands on his hips proudly. As expected of him~

Exiting the mental sea, the originally frenzied black tiger calmed down, and the blood mist surrounding its body decreased slightly. The depths of its eyes were still blood-red, but a flash of nimbleness occasionally passed through its eyes, proving that the black tiger’s reason was slowly recovering.

Wearing gloves made from the light-strands, Shen Lin reached out and tore a piece of “sludge” attached to the black tiger’s body. The black tiger turned its head and opened its mouth to bite, but its sharp teeth stopped abruptly when they touched the cub’s white, tender arm. Even though it had stopped in time, its sharp tiger teeth still sliced through the skin.

Red blood pearls slid down his jade-white skin. The sweet scent of blood kept drifting into its nose. A fierce struggle flashed in the black tiger’s eyes. Although the cub had helped it clear out many pollutants in its mental sea, a heavily damaged mental sea couldn’t be restored in a short time.

But what Shen Lin lacked right now was time. Marshal Shen would be sent to the Abyss of Blood at the end of the month; there was less than a week left, and he had to seize every second. Forcibly tearing off the outer layer of pollutants might bring significant sequelae to Baba, but time waited for no one; he could only hope that slowly nourishing it later would be fine.
