Part 2
Yun Yingzhi pointed a pale finger at Elvis.
Yun Yinghui’s brow twitched violently. He knew how to show restraint when attacking Elvis, but he was deeply worried that Yun Yingzhi would have no such filter. If Elvis didn’t dodge…
Forget what would happen to Elvis; the entire villa might be completely leveled.
The twelve cannons in the air were locked onto Elvis, primed and ready to fire.
Just as Yun Yingzhi was about to launch the attack, Elvis suddenly spoke: “All renovation costs, maintenance fees, and all losses within the villa—I will pay for everything.”
Yun Yingzhi: “…”
And then, Yun Yinghui, the two cubs, and the servants in the villa watched as every single cannon in the sky instantly…
Vanished.
Yun Yingzhi’s body swayed, and he collapsed.
The two cubs scrambled out of his collar in worry, nuzzling against him piteously.
With tears in his eyes, Yun Yingzhi hugged the two cubs.
At this moment, the one large and two small figures looked exceptionally tragic, fragile, and helpless.
The servants watching this, if they hadn’t known the context, would have truly believed this trio was the most pitiful group in the universe.
Yun Yingzhi looked at Elvis and accused, “Your Highness Elvis, you’ve gone too far! Jiaojiao and Taotao were both terrified by you!” His gaze was full of reproach.
Elvis’s eyelid twitched. He paused before offering a sincere apology: “Jiaojiao, Taotao, it’s all Father’s fault. I shouldn’t have scared you.”
The rabbit cub hugged the egg cub while clinging to Yun Yingzhi, quietly observing Elvis.
Elvis added, “Zhizhi, this place needs repairs. Why don’t we move to the villa next door for now?”
Yun Yingzhi looked at Elvis with suspicion. “Your Highness, did you destroy this place on purpose?”
Elvis cast a subtle glance at the actual culprit, Yun Yinghui, and said, “It was all an accident.”
Before Yun Yingzhi could continue his accusations, Elvis skillfully diverted his attention: “Zhizhi, how about I expand your Source Weapon manufacturing studio and build a playground for Jiaojiao and Taotao? Would you like that?”
Yun Yingzhi’s attention was instantly snatched away. After thinking it over, he nodded.
Elvis continued, “We can also build a private cinema underground so you can watch movies with Jiaojiao and Taotao.”
Yun Yingzhi pictured it in his mind and continued to nod.
Elvis: “Let’s go, we’ll move to the next villa first.”
Yun Yingzhi followed, carrying the two cubs.
Under Elvis’s lead, the group relocated to the neighboring villa.
The two cubs were exceptionally well-behaved in the unfamiliar environment. They looked around curiously, their tiny bodies pressed tightly against Yun Yingzhi. No matter how intrigued they were, they refused to be left alone.
Elvis tried several times to touch the cubs.
Whenever he was touched, the rabbit cub would tuck his paws in—then tuck them in again. He was clearly unwilling to let Elvis touch him. However, for some unknown reason, the rabbit cub seemed to enjoy touching Elvis.
As long as Elvis was close to Yun Yingzhi, the rabbit cub would use a tiny paw to pat Elvis a few times before quickly hiding his paws again.
In fact, if Yun Yingzhi was too far from Elvis, the rabbit cub would occasionally signal for Zhizhi to move closer so he could give Elvis a few more pats.
The rabbit cub’s attitude toward Elvis was utterly baffling. Who knew what was going on in that tiny brain?
It didn’t seem like liking, but it didn’t seem like hating either.
By contrast, the egg cub wasn’t very resistant to Elvis’s touch. As long as part of his shell was in contact with Yun Yingzhi, he would let Elvis stroke him at will. However, the moment anyone tried to pick him up and carry him away, the egg cub would start making a fuss.
But while the egg cub didn’t mind Elvis’s pets, the rabbit cub minded very much.
If Elvis stroked the egg cub, the rabbit cub’s reaction was even stronger than the egg’s. He would pounce and hang onto the egg cub, trying to cover the little egg with his tiny body to prevent Elvis from touching him.
After dinner that evening, once the cubs were a bit more familiar with the new surroundings, they patted Yun Yingzhi and demanded he take them on an exploration.
The cubs refused to leave Yun Yingzhi’s side for anything, so Zhizhi had no choice but to move around with them alone.
In a flash, it was nighttime.
Time for bed.
Yun Yingzhi took the two cubs into the master bedroom, while Elvis stayed in the room next door.
As a precaution—though no one knew exactly what he was guarding against—Yun Yinghui took the room on the other side of Yun Yingzhi.
Inside the master bedroom:
The two cubs clung to Yun Yingzhi, refusing to sleep.
Yun Yingzhi checked the time; it was already ten o’clock. The two cubs, who usually went to bed early and woke up late, were stubbornly awake despite looking exhausted.
The rabbit cub was pressed against Yun Yingzhi’s chest, his little head nodding off. Suddenly, his four limbs went toward the sky as he flopped over, only to force himself back up. His head continued to bob, but he refused to sleep.
The egg cub shifted from an upright position to a horizontal one. Not long after, he would roll, then stand upright again…
Yun Yingzhi: “…”
No, what was wrong with these two? They were clearly so sleepy, so why wouldn’t they just go to bed?
Yun Yingzhi sat up straight.
Almost instantly, he felt the cubs snap into high alert. The rabbit cub’s dark, round eyes stared at Yun Yingzhi with “rabbit-vigilance,” while the egg cub stood perfectly upright.
Neither cub moved an inch.
Infected by the atmosphere and momentarily speechless, Yun Yingzhi said, “…I’m just… changing my posture?”
A moment later, the rabbit cub’s head began to bob again, and the egg cub started his cycle of standing and lying down.
Yun Yingzhi moved again.
The two dazed, sleepy cubs immediately locked their eyes onto their father.
Yun Yingzhi: “…”
Yun Yingzhi: “…………”
He finally understood why they wouldn’t sleep.
The two cubs were “supervising” him. They were worried he would suddenly leave, so they refused to sleep, keeping him under constant watch.
Yun Yingzhi thought for a bit, then tucked the two cubs into the crooks of his shoulders on either side. He said, “Jiaojiao, Taotao, sleep with Papa. Daddy isn’t going anywhere tonight.”
Slowly, the two cubs drifted off to sleep alongside Yun Yingzhi.
The next day, Yun Yingzhi specifically took a half-day leave. He and the two cubs slept late into the day, only waking when the rabbit cub needed milk or a diaper change before falling back asleep.
By the time Yun Yingzhi was fully awake at noon, the cubs were still sleeping.
After lunch, Yun Yingzhi went to the studio.
In the afternoon, he received messages from both Yun Yinghui and Elvis. The two cubs were throwing a tantrum.
The rabbit cub wouldn’t stop crying, refused to drink milk, and wouldn’t let anyone change his diaper.
The egg cub had turned into a “shut-down” egg.
Left with no choice, Yun Yingzhi had to head back shortly after arriving at the workshop.
The moment the cubs saw Yun Yingzhi, they flew at him, looking utterly piteous.
Yun Yingzhi sighed, patted the egg cub, fed the rabbit cub his milk, and then changed both of their diapers.
The two cubs were still angry with Yun Yingzhi. They used gestures to demand he wait on them, but they refused to acknowledge him directly.
Yun Yingzhi tried to coax them, but to little effect.
Even though they were angry, that didn’t stop them from both scrambling into Yun Yingzhi’s collar.
The rabbit cub: “Da?”
The egg cub bounced.
The rabbit cub: “Da!”
Yun Yingzhi: “…?” What were they communicating?
The next moment, Yun Yingzhi felt a ripple of spatial energy envelop him. Then, the egg cub took him and the rabbit cub through a spatial teleportation.
One moment, Yun Yingzhi was in the villa with the cubs; the next, the egg cub had whisked them out and onto a street bustling with people.
Instantly, everyone’s eyes were fixed on Yun Yingzhi.
Someone in the crowd shouted: “Oh my god! It’s Yun Yingzhi!”
“The Ultimate Human Scumbag? What is he doing here?”
“Quick, let me see!?”
“I heard he’s actually Xing Chen!”
“What? Yun Yingzhi is Xing Chen!?”
“And that Blazing God-Rabbit! Remember? We thought it was some chuunibyou Source Weapon manufacturer, but looking back, it could only be Yun Yingzhi, right?”
Yun Yingzhi’s eyelid twitched frantically, and his cheeks turned red uncontrollably. He was so embarrassed he wanted to use his toes to dig out an entire palace on the spot.
Hiding in his collar, the rabbit cub nudged the egg cub and urged: “Da!”
The egg cub caught the meaning. Another ripple of spatial energy swept over them, and the one large and two small figures disappeared again.
By some stroke of bad luck, the next destination was another crowded area.
The people in this zone recognized Yun Yingzhi with pinpoint accuracy and began to swarm him, a scene identical to the one before.
However, with the previous experience, Yun Yingzhi didn’t linger. He moved with hurried steps and successfully broke through the crowd.
He finally managed to escape to a place with no people.
He began to think about how to get the cubs back home.
He realized the cubs had truly evolved. Before, they would only run away on their own; now, they at least knew to bring an adult along.
Immediately after, Yun Yingzhi felt the spatial energy envelop him again. The egg cub took him and the rabbit cub through another jump.
Yun Yingzhi’s eyelid gave a heavy twitch.
Having experienced this three times, Yun Yingzhi’s reaction grew faster each time. This time, he didn’t even give anyone a chance to spot him; he sprinted from the crowd into a hidden corner.
Yun Yingzhi pulled the two cubs out of his collar and asked, “Jiaojiao, Taotao, where are you planning to take Daddy?”
The rabbit cub hugged Yun Yingzhi’s finger: “Da!” He tossed his head proudly, acting as if he didn’t want to talk to Zhizhi, yet his tiny paws gripped his finger tightly.
The egg cub just flopped down in Yun Yingzhi’s palm, also pretending to ignore him.
It seemed they were still angry about him leaving them earlier.
Then, the egg cub used his ability for the fourth time, warping Yun Yingzhi and the rabbit cub.
This time, Yun Yingzhi finally understood where the cubs wanted to take him.
Holding the two cubs, Yun Yingzhi looked up at the massive sign for the Yaoming Battle Arena.
Yun Yingzhi: “…”
The shameful “Battle Bunny” (Xiao Tu) was practically the only “vest” he had left. As long as he didn’t admit to it, no one could force him to confess.
He had zero desire to be teammates with these two cubs.
At that moment, he realized that people from all directions were already looking his way.
Yun Yingzhi took a step back, planning to take the cubs and bolt.
The next second…
A ripple of spatial energy enveloped him, forcibly pulling Yun Yingzhi into the battle arena.
Yun Yingzhi: “…”
Yun Yingzhi: “…………”
Yun Yingzhi refused to give up and still intended to take the cubs and leave.
He had only taken a few steps when the rabbit cub gave a “Da,” and the egg cub activated his spatial ability again, warping Yun Yingzhi right back to the center of the Yaoming Battle Arena’s main hall.
Word quickly spread that Yun Yingzhi had arrived at the Yaoming Battle Arena with the two cubs, and a massive crowd rushed to witness the event.
In the crowd, someone shouted at the top of their lungs: “Are we finally going to see the Big White Rabbit and the Little White Rabbit on the same stage!?”
