Chapter 120. Blatant Seduction
An Se’s words were like a stone dropped into a still pond, instantly shattering the delicate atmosphere of the treatment room.
Su Tang snapped her head up, catching An Se’s teasing look. Her cheeks flared a bright red again, and she waved her hands frantically.
“I can’t do that. You should do it…”
“What’s so hard about it? It’s just like applying ointment normally. Just be gentle.”
An Se shoved the tray from the table into Su Tang’s hands.
“There are bound to be places he can’t reach. Just put in the work and help him out.”
Su Tang bit her lip and looked at Mo Xiao, who was sitting before her with his head lowered, applying his own medicine. Thinking that he had ended up this way for her sake after all, she let out a quiet sigh and took the tray.
She picked up a fresh cotton swab and swirled it in the transparent ointment. The image of Mo Xiao using his swab to massage that spot earlier flashed through her mind, and she felt another urge to back out.
It wasn’t for any other reason than her lack of confidence in herself. She couldn’t guarantee she could resist the temptation.
But as she met his gaze, which was fixed intently upon her, the words of refusal died in her throat.
She hesitated for a moment but finally sat down beside Mo Xiao and spoke softly.
“Then… shall I try?”
“I’ll be in your debt.”
Mo Xiao’s voice immediately softened. The cunning in his eyes was replaced by tenderness as he sat up straight, looking every bit like a compliant patient.
Yasuo watched, completely baffled.
“It’s just ointment. Why make it so complicated? The ones on his back aren’t even that bad; he doesn’t even need medicine there.”
An Se couldn’t help but burst out laughing. It seemed that among everyone present, only Yasuo believed they were actually just applying ointment.
An Se patted Yasuo’s shoulder, deciding to give Mo Xiao some face and lead this big “lightbulb” away.
“Let’s go. Didn’t the White Tower say there was a meeting? Mo Xiao has a reason not to go, but we have to be there.”
As he spoke, he dragged the confused Yasuo out the door, not forgetting to thoughtfully close it behind them.
In an instant, only the two of them remained in the treatment room. The air grew thick and heavy.
Su Tang held the cotton swab, her fingertips trembling slightly. Looking at Mo Xiao’s exposed upper body and the protrusion glistening with ointment, her heart felt like it was going to explode.
“Turn around first. I’ll deal with the ones on your back.” She spoke through gritted teeth, not daring to let her gaze wander.
“Alright.”
Mo Xiao’s voice was low, carrying a hint of a smile.
Su Tang took a deep breath, deciding to make this as quick as possible.
She took the swab laden with ointment and carefully reached for the wounds on his back. The moment it touched his skin, she felt Mo Xiao’s body stiffen.
“Does it hurt?”
She stopped immediately.
“It doesn’t.”
It was just a bit itchy.
Mo Xiao’s voice was a bit hoarse. “Keep going.”
Su Tang bit her lip and focused entirely on applying the medicine.
The cotton swab slid across his warm skin, leaving streaks of cool ointment behind. Her movements were light, afraid of hurting him, but the more careful she was, the more the itching on his back became unbearable.
Su Tang felt like her face was being roasted. The faint scent of his sweat mixed with the bitter fragrance of the ointment swirled in her nose. His steady, powerful breathing was in her ear, and before her eyes was the sight of broad shoulders and a narrow waist marked by red welts. Every part of it was a silent siren song, tugging at her heartstrings.
Finally, she finished with his back. Mo Xiao turned around to face her.
Su Tang’s movements paused. She threw the used swab into the trash and replaced it with a new one, trying to use these small actions to steady her emotions. But as soon as she looked up, her gaze landed directly on the spot Mo Xiao had so “carefully” tended to earlier.
The glistening ointment made it stand out clearly.
Her heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively looked away. When had he moved so close? The angle he’d picked was simply perfect.
“Put some there as well. I accidentally smeared it just now; let’s not let it go to waste.”
“Medicine isn’t a good thing. It’s better not to use it if there isn’t a wound.”
She had to be joking. There was no way she was going to use a swab on him there.
Mo Xiao looked down, his eyes smiling as he stared at the little Guide who was trying to look away but kept glancing back at his chest anyway.
“It’s not as if it isn’t injured.”
“What?”
“Ahem. You… bit me there a few days ago. It’s been a bit painful, almost like it’s swollen. It hasn’t quite…”
“Stop! Don’t say another word. I’ll put the medicine on.”
Su Tang’s face was entirely red. She didn’t have time to think; she just wanted Mo Xiao to stop his outrageous talk.
She took the swab and, in one burst of courage, lightly touched the protrusion. Just as she was about to pull away, she heard Mo Xiao let out a low “ngh,” the end of it carrying a suppressed tremor.
That muffled groan was like an electric current surging through Su Tang’s entire body. The cotton swab in her hand nearly fell to the floor.
She hurriedly pulled her hand back, not daring to touch him again. Her voice was shaking.
“Done… it’s done…”
Watching her panic like a startled little rabbit, the smile in Mo Xiao’s eyes deepened. He deliberately leaned closer, his warm breath brushing against her ear.
“Thank you. My body recovers very quickly. If you like, I can let you keep playing with it tonight.”
Su Tang’s ears turned so red they looked ready to drip blood. The warm air against her ear sent waves of tingles through her body.
Su Tang scrambled to her feet, shoved the swab into Mo Xiao’s hand at random, and beat a hasty retreat to put some distance between them.
“You can do the rest yourself. I… I have something to do. I’m leaving.”
“Alright. Thank you for your hard work.”
Mo Xiao’s voice was full of laughter. Watching her flushed cheeks and avoiding eyes, he felt like his heart was being lightly scratched by a feather—itchy, yet sweet.
