Sentinel & Guide: From Pariah to Heartthrob Chapter 134

Chapter 134: We Will Always Remember You

All the soldiers charged with their weapons toward the direction where Chi Wan landed.

Reflected in the depths of Tang Lian’s eyes was that beam of light in the sky; his heart was incomparably shaken.

She did it.

She actually did it.

Ascending to Elysium all alone, and charging back down with tens of millions of supplies.

A beam of light surged into the hearts of every single one of them.

The long-sealed shackles at the bottom of his heart seemed to shatter. Tang Lian threw away the tool in his hand, grabbed a steel plate on the table, and forcefully bent it into the shape of a blade. The blood from his palm dyed the blade red. He stood up and looked behind him:

“I am Tang Lian. Everyone should know me—the sinner who led you to rebel six years ago, causing your families to be torn apart, your homes destroyed, and making you suffer to this day.”

Everyone looked at Tang Lian.

The long-slumbering Mental Entity within him was poised to strike. Grey energy surged around him. His voice was hoarse from long-term dehydration:

“I am not forcing any of you to join me. But now, I want to use this worthless life of mine to try one last time.”

“Those afraid of being caught in the crossfire can step away now.”

Saying this, he walked forward gripping that shoddy blade.

Behind him, tens of thousands of people stood still. Not a single one moved.

Their emaciated, sallow faces silently watched his thin, straight back as he walked away alone.

Tang Lian naturally sensed this. He didn’t say a word, only quickening his pace, his steps even firmer.

However, in the next second, more and more sounds of clashing steel echoed behind him. Mechanical tools were violently dismantled into various makeshift weapons.

Tang Lian looked back in shock, only to see that of the tens of thousands behind him, not a single one backed down.

They walked up holding all sorts of crude weapons. The middle-aged man leading them had a resolute gaze:

“Tang Lian—no, Admiral Tang, for these past six years, you’ve probably been brainwashed by those beetles in gold armor. You were never a sinner. In our hearts, you have always been a hero!”

Tang Lian’s pupils contracted sharply, his hand holding the blade trembling slightly.

“That’s right! Even without you, that Nova would have treated us this way. They brainwash us every day, but we aren’t stupid!”

……

What Chi Wan saw as she was about to land was precisely this shocking scene.

Countless human Polluted Entities charged toward her, stretching as far as the eye could see.

On the other side, a batch of gold-armored soldiers was charging her way. Behind them was the large army led by Tang Lian.

She hadn’t expected so many human Polluted Entities and humans to come to her aid. Her heart was deeply shaken.

[They are also helping themselves, Host. You have backup now, fight back!]

Chi Wan landed and counterattacked. Quickly eliminating that batch of soldiers, she threw all the Elysium armaments she had collected straight at Tang Lian and the others. Looking back, more and more humans and human Polluted Entities were charging over.

They divided up the military armaments, equipping themselves with the combat suits and firearms that once belonged to them before being monopolized by Nova.

The surviving soldiers from the former interstellar legion who knew how to fly airships piloted the combat airships.

The gold-armored soldiers also charged down from Elysium.

The two massive armies officially clashed.

Nova, arriving at the scene, was extremely furious to see this.

He immediately spotted the giant black panther leading the crowd, his eyes turning red.

He released his Mental Entity, and a massive black scorpion leaped down from the high ground.

“Tang Lian, after so long, you still have the guts to resist me!”

Since coming to this world, the one he feared most was this world’s original Heaven’s Favored, Tang Lian. He had used every means of suppression and tricks, physically and mentally abusing him, trampling him deeply into the mud.

For so many years, Tang Lian lived neither like a human nor a ghost every day, which satisfied Nova immensely.

But now, just because of an outsider woman, he dared to resist him again.

He would make him pay the price!

“System, help me!”

[Enhancement mode activated for you. Combat power increased by 50%.]

At the same time, Chi Wan ran toward Tang Lian:

“Together!”

Silver energy linked to him.

The powerful and warm silver energy directly activated Tang Lian’s long-half-dead mental power. A formidable energy he hadn’t felt in a long time surged through his entire body. He looked at Chi Wan in shock.

Just how much more astonishing power did she have that he didn’t know about?

[That woman is not simple. Be extremely careful.]

Nova looked at Chi Wan. That exquisitely beautiful face made his heart race madly.

He cursed inwardly, swearing that once he killed them all, he would brutally teach this woman a lesson, imprison her in his dungeon, and torture her every day.

The sinister scorpion tail clashed with the agile black panther.

The fierce battle lasted a long time, and the casualties within the crowd were disastrous.

“Careful of his Ability. It’s ‘Steal’—he can steal other people’s energy values.”

At Tang Lian’s warning, Chi Wan became even more cautious. As she dodged a combat airship’s attack, her link with Tang Lian was severed.

The black panther was viciously sent flying, and Tang Lian crashed to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of fresh blood.

Chi Wan quickly fired at Nova to interrupt his movements.

Nova shifted his gaze and attacked Chi Wan. She dodged by firing her grappling hook to swing away. Withstanding the suppression of his formidable energy, Chi Wan bombarded him with the interstellar ion cannon.

Amidst the deafening roar of artillery fire, the sound of airships tearing through the sky echoed from above.

They were trans-galactic spaceships.

Nova’s eyes widened in shock as he looked up at the sky. Chi Wan seized the opportunity, firing her grappling hook into the body of the giant scorpion. Retracting it, she leaped into the air, switched her weapon to a longsword, and, wrapped in silver-white energy, cleanly sliced off the scorpion’s head.

Nova let out a cry of agony:

“System, System!”

[An outsider has invaded. We cannot defeat them with our power alone. I will call for external backup—]

[Do not panic. Just like before, I will summon ten powerful systems to assist you.]

Nova’s heart settled somewhat. He deflected Chi Wan’s incoming sword strike with his blade. Unexpectedly, her swordsmanship was exceptionally exquisite—she flipped and thrust at him again!

Nova, whose Mental Entity had just been decapitated, had his condition severely impacted. His arm was sliced off by Chi Wan’s sword.

At the same time, Tang Lian charged forward and plunged his blade into Nova’s heart.

Nova’s eyes widened in shock, and he collapsed to the ground, utterly unresigned.

[Host, that Rogue System is trying to run. Find a way to stop it!]

[Take out that small fragment from your space, hurry!]

Chi Wan didn’t ask why. The glowing fragment immediately appeared in her palm.

A cluster of light hidden in the air was suddenly pulled in, as if absorbed by an irresistible force, and vanished into the fragment.

The fragment’s glow imperceptibly brightened a fraction.

Chi Wan watched in shock.

Why was this…

[Truly miraculous, just as expected.]

Then, the System’s voice grew even more excited:

[Several more Rogue Systems have arrived, but coming here now is just delivering themselves to death.]

Sure enough, just as a few clusters of light appeared in the sky, they were forcibly sucked in by the fragment.

[They’ve all been sucked in, Host. Quickly, put the fragment away. Don’t let them find you!]

Chi Wan was very obedient; the fragment vanished instantly.

She turned around. Tang Lian had already led everyone to charge up to Elysium.

She followed.

This glittering, extravagant city was now crowded with the people who had suffered so much torment.

Thrilled and heroic, they fearlessly charged forward, attempting to reclaim everything that rightfully belonged to them.

In the sky, those gold-armored soldiers were still piloting combat airships, bombarding the crowd. The human Polluted Entities stood in front of the humans, acting as human shields for them.

Chi Wan was just about to charge forward and continue fighting when she saw several spaceships flying in from a distance.

The design of these spaceships was different from the ELN Galaxy, nor did they belong to the ALP Galaxy. It was a spaceship model she had never seen before.

Those spaceships targeted the gold-armored soldiers’ airships with clear intent. Their far superior targeting technology and attack power crushed the opposition.

Very soon, all the combat airships of the gold-armored soldiers were shot down.

“They are here to help us!”

“Who are they?”

Voices of confusion arose from the crowd.

Chi Wan was equally puzzled. She looked up.

She saw one spaceship head straight for her. As it approached, the downdraft whipped her hair into a wild dance. Immediately after, she saw the hatch open, and a red tentacle quickly extended down, wrapping around her body!

Chi Wan’s eyes widened in shock.

Chi Che?!

Under the watchful eyes of everyone, she was reeled up, landing into a broad, warm embrace. His scent enveloped her.

For a moment, Tang Lian and the others breathed a sigh of relief.

He shouted a question: “Is your lover here to pick you up?”

Chi Wan peeked out to look at the crowd that cared for her. She had barely uttered half a syllable of the word “No” when a large hand gently yet firmly gripped her waist.

He turned her body around, and his warm breath pressed down dominantly.

He kissed her deeply.
