Chapter 134: We Will Always Remember You
All the soldiers charged with their weapons toward the direction where Chi Wan landed.
Reflected in the depths of Tang Lian’s eyes was that beam of light in the sky; his heart was incomparably shaken.

The long-sealed shackles at the bottom of his heart seemed to shatter. Tang Lian threw away the tool in his hand, grabbed a steel plate on the table, and forcefully bent it into the shape of a blade. The blood from his palm dyed the blade red. He stood up and looked behind him:
“I am Tang Lian. Everyone should know me—the sinner who led you to rebel six years ago, causing your families to be torn apart, your homes destroyed, and making you suffer to this day.”
Everyone looked at Tang Lian.
The long-slumbering Mental Entity within him was poised to strike. Grey energy surged around him. His voice was hoarse from long-term dehydration:
“I am not forcing any of you to join me. But now, I want to use this worthless life of mine to try one last time.”
“Those afraid of being caught in the crossfire can step away now.”
Saying this, he walked forward gripping that shoddy blade.
Behind him, tens of thousands of people stood still. Not a single one moved.
Their emaciated, sallow faces silently watched his thin, straight back as he walked away alone.
Tang Lian naturally sensed this. He didn’t say a word, only quickening his pace, his steps even firmer.
However, in the next second, more and more sounds of clashing steel echoed behind him. Mechanical tools were violently dismantled into various makeshift weapons.

Retracting it, she leaped into the air, switched her weapon to a longsword, and, wrapped in silver-white energy, cleanly sliced off the scorpion’s head.
Nova let out a cry of agony:
“System, System!”
[An outsider has invaded. We cannot defeat them with our power alone. I will call for external backup—]
[Do not panic. Just like before, I will summon ten powerful systems to assist you.]
Nova’s heart settled somewhat. He deflected Chi Wan’s incoming sword strike with his blade. Unexpectedly, her swordsmanship was exceptionally exquisite—she flipped and thrust at him again!

Those spaceships targeted the gold-armored soldiers’ airships with clear intent. Their far superior targeting technology and attack power crushed the opposition.
Very soon, all the combat airships of the gold-armored soldiers were shot down.

Voices of confusion arose from the crowd.

For a moment, Tang Lian and the others breathed a sigh of relief.
He shouted a question: “Is your lover here to pick you up?”
Chi Wan peeked out to look at the crowd that cared for her. She had barely uttered half a syllable of the word “No” when a large hand gently yet firmly gripped her waist.
He turned her body around, and his warm breath pressed down dominantly.
He kissed her deeply.
