Chapter 77: Surprise part 1
The thought that Zong Hao might be in danger arose, and it simply couldn’t be suppressed.
Whether it was because his daytime thoughts manifested as dreams at night, Ning Yunyi also had a nightmare that evening. In the dream, Zong Hao stood in the darkness, looking at him. His entire figure was hidden in the shadows, making it impossible to see clearly, but he smiled at him before turning and walking away into the distance.
When Ning Yunyi woke up, he couldn’t remember his reaction in the dream. He only sat up, his heart pounding violently as if he had just finished a strenuous sprint.
He was never one to dwell indecisively on things. Since these omens had appeared one after another, he decided to make a trip.
After making his decision, Ning Yunyi went straight to find Big Brother Ning.

After gaining Big Brother Ning’s approval, Ning Yunyi contacted Ichi so that Ichi could accompany him. However, the men under Ichi’s command were left behind on the Capital Star so that, in case of an emergency, Big Brother Ning could dispatch them, serving as a layer of protection for the Ning family.
Ichi naturally had no objections, but he was curious why the Second Young Master Ning was suddenly running off to find the Marshal out of nowhere. Could it be that he knew some inside information about someone trying to harm the Marshal?
Harboring this thought, Ichi’s expression also grew solemn. He packed everything he could possibly bring, and only then did he and Ning Yunyi quietly leave the Capital Star in a private spaceship.
Before leaving, Ning Yunyi asked the little meow cub for his old rattan ball that he no longer played with.
The little guy was quite nostalgic. Even after Ning Yunyi gave him a new rattan ball, he still couldn’t bear to part with the old one, so he specifically stored it away in a box. Ning Yunyi and Ichi flew for ten days and ten nights, taking turns piloting the spaceship, before arriving at a planet on the very edge of the interstellar borders. Before they even landed on the wasteland, they were shocked by the deafening roars of the beast tide howling in the distance.
Listening to these ghostly wails and wolf-like howls, Ning Yunyi wore a bizarre expression. “Didn’t you say there was only an insect tide?”
Ichi scratched his head. “When the Marshal arrived, he realized that the mutated beasts had gotten smarter this time and didn’t appear right away. It was only after arriving that he found the situation was much more severe than expected. Fortunately, the Marshal quickly brought it under control after he got here. The Marshal was afraid you would worry, so he didn’t let me tell you…” That was why, when he heard Second Young Master Ning wanted to come, Ichi’s first thought was that something bad was about to happen, and he decisively came along.
He was the Marshal’s commanding officer. If someone truly had to die, he had to die before the Marshal did.
Ning Yunyi fell silent: So it turns out there really is a possibility of “sacrifice.” Ichi is truly obedient; if he’s told not to speak, he doesn’t speak. In the end, instead of waiting for the person to return, I might have just been waiting for bad news, right?

If an emergency really occurred, when he made his move, he could simply say the ‘expert’ was using the title of Mr. Bai.
The two flew the private spaceship and soon arrived outside the camp. Ichi smoothly passed through using his own ID. Coupled with the fact that Ichi was the commanding officer and answered only to Marshal Zong, even without receiving direct orders, they still allowed Ichi to fly the spaceship in.
The outer perimeter of the base consisted of very high walls topped with electrified grids. If any giant insects or mutated beasts approached or tried to launch a sneak attack, they would be detected and electrocuted. Thus, it was a safe zone for resting in the rear.
