Chapter 25: Military Training – It’s Almost Time for Freshman Training; Did Yu Xia Report to the School?
Upon arriving at the single dormitory assigned to him by the school, Yu Xia was nearly stunned.
The single dorms at Imperial Star Academy were exquisitely decorated, complete with a kitchen, bathroom, study, and even a private gym. They were far superior to most ordinary apartments!
Yu Xia spun in a few circles in his new living room, his eyes shining as he looked at Qin Yizheng. “This dorm is really mine from now on?”

The school is afraid you might have a sudden emergency and needs someone to monitor you. A robot is the best choice for constant supervision.”
Luo Siqi had been sitting excitedly on the sofa in Yu Xia’s living room. Even though it wasn’t his, it was still a single dorm, something he had coveted for a long time. However, hearing this, he leaned over. “But advanced household robots are quite expensive. The one Yu Xia needs would also require medical intelligence modules.”
An ordinary household robot was one thing, but one that could double as a medical robot would be extremely costly.
Yu Xia opened the Star Net to browse a shopping platform. The prices listed made him wince and close the page immediately.

Qin Yizheng looked at Yu Xia, thought for a moment, and asked tentatively, “How about I bring one over from my house? I have quite a few idle robots like that. For you, a medical robot is indispensable. You really need a robot watching you, otherwise no one can rest easy.”

Yu Xia felt their reasoning was sound, so he sent a message to Professor Wen and led the two of them to the parking lot where the hovercar was parked.
Professor Wen Lun had been quite busy lately. Not only was he a professor at Imperial Star Academy, but he also collaborated with the hospital. The incident with Yu Xia earlier had exposed some internal issues at the hospital, but for both the hospital and himself, the outcome wasn’t too bad. Most of the problematic individuals had been purged, leaving only the one who had escaped to be tracked down.
To ensure the absolute safety of his team, he had been busy verifying his personnel. Even the observation project for Yu Xia, which he had fought hard to secure, had been temporarily put on hold, with only the shallowest analysis completed so far.
Despite only having a bit of analysis done, Wen Lun felt he needed to mention it to Yu Xia. Thus, upon receiving Yu Xia’s message, he agreed to meet, planning to discuss the boy’s physical condition as well.
Then, he saw the two people following Yu Xia: Qin Yizheng and Luo Siqi.
Setting Luo Siqi aside for a moment, Wen Lun knew of him because he had grown up with Qin Yizheng and was one of the few who knew of Qin Yizheng’s true circumstances.
The one Wen Lun truly cared about was Qin Yizheng.
Qin Yizheng was an exceptionally unique individual. Most people differentiated and gained mental power at age fifteen, but he had differentiated at age ten. Furthermore, he possessed the rare SSS+ rank mental power.
A person’s constitution grows alongside their age to an extent. A ten-year-old child, no matter how gifted, couldn’t have a very high constitution. At that time, Qin Yizheng had already trained himself to an A-rank constitution, which was already outstanding.

Wen Lun jingled the keys in his hand. “Alright, get in. I’ll drive you over. I might as well check out Yu Xia’s dorm environment; I need to make sure it won’t negatively affect his condition.”
Qin Yizheng also wanted to hear Professor Wen’s take on Yu Xia’s illness. In this field, the professor was an absolute expert. “That would be good. Thank you, Professor Wen.”
Wen Lun sat in the driver’s seat and started the engine. “It’s fine. It’s the first day of school and I have no classes. I’m bored anyway. Which area is Yu Xia’s dorm in?”
Yu Xia replied, “S-District.”
Wen Lun paused his movements for a moment, then set the destination and activated the autopilot. “S-District is the student single dormitory area. Who had such foresight? With your condition, you definitely would have been approved if you applied, but the school wouldn’t have considered it automatically. I was planning to tell you to apply for it, though the process is slow—it probably would have taken two weeks.”
Yu Xia said with a smile, “I only just found out myself. Senior Qin applied for me.”
Wen Lun gave Qin Yizheng a thoughtful look. “Oh, Qin Yizheng. Quite thoughtful of you.”
Qin Yizheng coughed lightly and asked Wen Lun, “Professor Wen, how is Yu Xia’s physical condition currently?”
Wen Lun opened a file he carried and handed the contents to Qin Yizheng. “This is the detailed report from Yu Xia’s checkup at the hospital. You’re in the Command Department, so you should be able to understand these indices. Yu Xia’s Mental Power Disorder gap is the highest on record. Several indices are nearing the threshold; if they rise any further, it’ll be dangerous. Physical training is an absolute priority. However, since he’s living in a single dorm in the S-District, there are ways to make the training process a bit easier for him.”
Qin Yizheng looked up. “What ways?”
“Keep a few plants in the residence,” Wen Lun provided the solution. “It’s common knowledge that natural plants release trace elements that relax one’s mental power. Keeping some greenery in his home will be very beneficial for Yu Xia. It’s the same principle as why apples—though not particularly tasty—are helpful for those under mental pressure.”
Yu Xia thought for a moment. “So, besides apples, other fruits should work too, right?”
Wen Lun nodded. “Indeed, but they’re hard to get. Most are prioritized for making soothing agents. Buying some occasionally is fine, but eating them long-term is unrealistic. You still need to exercise and bring those indices back to the safe range as soon as possible. It’s truly too dangerous right now. Greenery can only help you feel a bit better during the process.”
Yu Xia made an “I understand” gesture. “I know. I’ve been exercising very seriously.”
Wen Lun was finally satisfied. “Tomorrow or the day after, I’ll have the hospital send over your training volume chart. Then you’ll have to work hard, understood? Also, come to me for a physical checkup every month. I specifically went to your dorm today for another reason—to give you a holographic cabin. Stop using that holographic helmet. However, I’ve installed a mental power fluctuation monitoring device in the cabin that connects to my optical computer. Is that alright?”
Yu Xia fell silent for a moment. “Will you be able to see everything I do in the virtual world?”
Wen Lun shook his head. “How could a device that fits in a cabin be that powerful? I can only see the graph of your mental power fluctuations during the time you use it.”
“I originally wanted to install it in the helmet, since helmets do consume more mental power than cabins. But I tinkered with it for a long time and couldn’t get it right. The helmet is too small; if I installed it, it would press against your head and be very uncomfortable. Hearing this, Yu Xia felt relieved.
Though he guessed Professor Wen likely had no interest in his activities in the virtual world, it would still be awkward if everything he did was being watched.
The hovercar was fast. Despite the strict speed limits on campus, they arrived shortly.
The group got out of the car. Wen Lun paced around the exterior of Yu Xia’s dorm twice, nodding with satisfaction. “Not bad. This spot was likely chosen on purpose. The greenery here is nearly the best in the S-District. This environment will be very beneficial for Yu Xia’s health.”
As he walked inside, he asked, “Speaking of which, freshman military training starts in a few days. Has Yu Xia filed a report with the school yet?”
Qin Yizheng replied, “Don’t worry, Professor. My mother already had me file the report in advance.”

- Qin Yizheng’s Past: We learned he differentiated at age 10! Most kids differentiate at 15. This confirms he’s a once-in-a-century genius.
- Double SSS: Qin Yizheng is a monster in terms of stats. SSS+ mental power and SSS constitution mean he’s essentially the perfect soldier. No wonder he can throw people around so easily!
- Holographic Cabin vs. Helmet: Cabins are usually more luxury/comfortable, but Wen Lun specifically modified this one to make it “draining” to help Yu Xia manage his overflowing energy.
