Chapter 147: Ordering Male Models Behind Hubby’s Back
Since he was asking about destroying wormholes, Xie Qiang had no reason to refuse. She stepped aside from the doorway. “Then please come in.”
The corners of Rong Liang’s lips curved slightly as he stepped into the room.
Seeing Mo Yin standing at the door, Rong Liang wasn’t surprised in the least. On the contrary, had Mo Yin not been there, he would have found it astonishing.
After all, if someone allowed an S-class Guide to stay alone in a room during a Zerg attack, he would suspect whether their brain had been eaten by the Zerg.
Rong Liang took long strides and proactively walked to the tea table inside the room. Seeing Xie Qiang sit down, he elegantly seated himself on a metal chair, crossing his legs and resting his hand upon his thigh.
Xie Qiang spoke up proactively, explaining the reform of Guide work in the Third War Zone as well as the reward system for Sentinels clearing Zerg. “Horizontal lines denote the latter is a unique feature of our Third War Zone. If you want to destroy the wormholes as quickly as possible, thoroughly purifying them directly is also entirely feasible.”
Back in the Third War Zone, implementing the Zerg-clearing reward system was merely to prevent the A-class Sentinels from accepting purification with a clear conscience, white-prostituting free purifications over and over again under the guise of her previous torment of Sentinels.
She had no conflict with the Sentinels of the Sixth War Zone. Thoroughly purifying them directly would instead win over their hearts and rally them to her cause.
“Commander Rong, what do you think?”
Xie Qiang looked at Rong Liang, expecting this commander to be listening attentively. Instead, he found him lazily propping up his chin with one hand, his gaze fixated with intense aggression upon her lips.
Xie Qiang: ?
Xie Qiang desperately resisted the urge to touch her lips.
During those few days on the starship, Hong Que had kissed her at the drop of a hat. He hadn’t bitten her lips raw, had he?
She pursed her lips. “Commander Rong?”
As if waking from a long slumber, Rong Liang snapped back to reality and flashed an exceptionally charming smile at Xie Qiang. “Miss Qiangwei may arrange it however she pleases.”
Xie Qiang nodded. “Then the order of the purification list will be left for Commander Rong to decide.”
“Naturally.” Rong Liang lowered his hand and reached toward Xie Qiang. “Then I shall rely heavily on Miss Qiangwei. Once the Sixth War Zone’s wormhole is destroyed, my Sentinels can also return home sooner.”
Xie Qiang extended her hand and grasped his fingers.
Unlike Sen Ji’s warmth, Rong Liang’s fingers were exceptionally cold. Xie Qiang gave a light squeeze and intended to withdraw her hand.
To her surprise, she couldn’t pull away.
Though her fingers were only lightly held by Rong Liang, no matter how much she pulled, they remained completely motionless. She looked at Rong Liang in confusion, only to see the handsome, noble man lean forward slightly, shifting his grip into intertwined fingers, completely enveloping her palm.
“Miss Qiangwei, do you mind performing a thorough purification for this Rong first?” His voice was low and raspy, as if enticing her, the aggressive glare of his purple eyes carrying a near-physical weight as it scraped across her cheeks.
Her ankle was suddenly wrapped by something furry, which then spiraled upward around her calf. Xie Qiang subconsciously looked down at the floor, only to see a platinum-colored tiger tail coiled around her right leg, gradually tightening until it pressed into her flesh.
Xie Qiang: …
Was she… being hit on?
In the Third War Zone, the Sentinels all dreaded her and wouldn’t dare throw themselves at her. The Sentinels living in the Imperial Capital were free from Zerg disturbances and had a relatively low demand for Guides, so they certainly wouldn’t act this way either.
She had already grown accustomed to Sentinels keeping their distance. With Rong Liang suddenly enticing her like this, Xie Qiang felt highly unaccustomed to it.
Even thinking about how Sen Ji was still outside busy fighting the Zerg, she actually felt a wave of shame, like ordering male models behind her husband’s back.
Xie Qiang gave a light cough and nudged her leg. “If Commander Rong desires purification, there is no need for this.”
Rong Liang’s eyes flickered. “Miss Qiangwei doesn’t like me?”
We’ve barely just met…
Xie Qiang pulled her leg back, stretching the tiger tail taut, yet she still couldn’t make the man retract it. She had no choice but to say, “Commander Rong, we’ve only just met for the first time, we don’t know each other…”
“It seems I was too hasty.” Rong Liang gave an apologetic smile.
The tiger tail loosely let go, lightly rubbing against Xie Qiang’s calf a few times before retracting. Rong Liang extended his hand to the side, and a massive, platinum-colored tiger with purple eyes landed gracefully upon the floor, nudging its tiger head against Xie Qiang’s calf.
“Roar~” it voiced in a low tone, resting its chin gently upon Xie Qiang’s lap, proactively offering its tiger ears into her palm.
“Then let’s begin getting to know each other through our spiritual bodies first.”
Rong Liang looked at Xie Qiang with a smile in his eyes. “What is Miss Qiangwei’s spiritual body?”
This was well within Xie Qiang’s comfort zone. She summoned her spiritual body and placed it onto the tea table. “It’s a little Ragdoll cat.”
The little Ragdoll squatted on the table, licking its paws. Catching sight of the purple-eyed tiger out of the corner of its eye, it curiously leaned its upper body forward and tapped the tiger’s skull with its paw.
The purple-eyed tiger looked up at the little Ragdoll, blinking its aloof tiger eyes. It left Xie Qiang’s lap, crouched on the tea table, and forcefully licked the little Ragdoll cat with its tongue.
The instantly drenched little Ragdoll: ?
Furious, the little Ragdoll kept hitting the tiger’s skull with a series of “bam-bam-bam” taps.
The purple-eyed tiger wasn’t angered either. Instead, it parted its jaws to gently mouth the little Ragdoll’s cat paw, its tongue lightly licking the paw pads.
“It seems Zi Li also likes Miss Qiangwei very much.”
Rong Liang slightly loosened his grip on Xie Qiang’s fingers, the pads of his fingers brushing across her palm, eliciting a piercing, core-deep itchiness. He then traced up her slender arm, bit by bit touching her delicate skin. “Miss Qiangwei must have seen Commander Sen’s spiritual body, right? Compared to his, which one do you prefer?”
Xie Qiang looked down at Zi Li.
跑金’s build was a size larger than Zi Li’s. Bai Jin was a white-striped golden tiger, while Zi Li had a solid platinum coat. Though slightly smaller in frame, its aura was much more aloof and confident than Bai Jin’s.
Perhaps because Bai Jin couldn’t be seen by others, its presence felt a fraction weaker.
But who could help that she loved the “handsome, powerful, yet tragic” archetype? She preferred Bai Jin’s style, especially since it could only be seen by her, as if it belonged exclusively to her. She naturally felt more tender affection and fondness for Bai Jin.
What a pity that Sen Ji rarely summoned Bai Jin out for her to stroke.
Her hands inevitably grew eager. Looking at Zi Li, Xie Qiang ultimately couldn’t hold back. She placed her free hand upon Zi Li’s body and gently began smoothing its fur.
A smile spread across Rong Liang’s lips.
It appeared she was also quite satisfied with Zi Li.
He had initially thought that if she wasn’t satisfied with Zi Li, he would let Yu Jin take the field. In any case, they needed to make this Guide lady focus her attention more on them, preferably marking them.
That way, they would never have to worry about purification matters ever again.
Without interrupting Xie Qiang’s tiger-stroking, Rong Liang poured himself a cup of water. While sipping lightly, he gazed with a soft smile at the lovely girl.
They had plenty of time ahead. He simply didn’t believe that, given the striking looks of himself, Yu Jin, and Rong Bai, this young Guide wouldn’t feel any attraction.
