Tonight I Become My Male God’s Kitten—Lick Him! chapter 47

Chapter 47: Is Marriage Absolute?

Mu Feng felt as if his ears were ringing. He raised a hand to rub them. “I didn’t hear you clearly. What?”

“I said,” Liang Yuhang repeated with great patience, “Do you want to get engaged to me?”

He heard it clearly this time.

But it must be some strange aftereffect from being drugged last night.

Mu Feng patted his head with an awkward laugh. “I think I’m having auditory hallucinations.”

Liang Yuhang: “…”

Is this some kind of tactful rejection?

Never mind. Mu Feng probably wasn’t willing. It made sense; if someone you had no feelings for suddenly suggested getting engaged, anyone would be stunned.

Liang Yuhang said, “I was too impulsive. Just act like you didn’t hear it.”

“Wait.” Mu Feng stared straight at him, repeating slowly, “You just said you want to get engaged to me? You… with… me?”

Liang Yuhang nodded.

Ah, not a hallucination. It was a fantasy.

Mu Feng felt like he was treading on light clouds. What did winning the lottery feel like? It was this moment.

The person he had a secret crush on came to tell him he was willing to get engaged—even if it was fake.

He was so excited he practically wanted to run three laps around the building.

Mu Feng tried his best to hide his nervousness and excitement, asking cautiously, “A real engagement? The kind with a ceremony and an announcement to everyone?”

Liang Yuhang hummed. “But as I said, I won’t develop feelings for you. You don’t have to worry about that. It’s just an expediency to get you away from Liang Jingyi. If you have someone you like in the future, we can end it anytime.”

Mu Feng understood this time.

Liang Yuhang was a God who looked cold on the surface, but whose mechanical heart was more prone to pity than anyone else’s.

But… Mu Feng didn’t want the other man to be tied down by a fake marriage.

Mu Feng’s rationality returned a bit. “I think it’s unfair to you. It’s not appropriate.”

As much as he wanted to marry Liang Yuhang—even if it was fake, it was a beautiful, illusory dream.

But Liang Yuhang shouldn’t be dragged into this by him.

“There’s nothing unfair about it. I didn’t plan on getting married anyway.” Liang Yuhang smiled. “Consider it giving an account to my family.”

Mu Feng still hesitated.

This was just an excuse Liang Yuhang used to comfort him. If there was something he didn’t want to do, who could force him?

“I spoke a bit suddenly; think it over,” Liang Yuhang said. “I’ll give you three days.”

Mu Feng could no longer speak and just nodded slowly and mechanically. “Okay. I’ll… think about it.”

“Dazed.” Liang Yuhang laughed at him. “It’s not a real marriage. What are you so nervous for? Go back in.”

Mu Feng thought to himself: To me, what’s the difference between this and a real marriage?

He went into the room in a muddle, mechanically picking up the small knife to start peeling an apple again.

Liang Jingyi was very alert. “What were you talking to my wife about?”

“Whether he’s your wife…” Liang Yuhang paused slightly. “…remains to be seen.”

“What do you mean?” Liang Jingyi narrowed his eyes. “Big brother, you’re not going to fight me for a wife, are you? You’d do something so undignified?”

“First of all, we have no relationship whatsoever.” Mu Feng stabbed the knife down and sliced the apple in half with force. “Secondly, if you call me ‘wifey’ again, you’ll end up like this apple.”

Liang Jingyi gave a light snort.

He had already investigated Mu Feng’s background thoroughly. The boy just put on a fierce act; at home, he was completely obedient to Mu Mingde.

“You should sleep. Stop talking.” Mu Feng pressed him quite forcefully into the pillow and pulled the quilt over that annoying face.

“Gentle! No sense of proportion!” Liang Jingyi grimaced in pain.

Mu Feng turned his head and saw Liang Yuhang staring at him.

He blurted out an explanation, “I’m usually… not this fierce.”

“You can be even fiercer.” Liang Yuhang’s lips curved slightly.

Mu Feng silently mouthed to him, “So black-bellied.”

Liang Jingyi’s sleep was practically like a baby’s; one second he was cursing, and the next he was out cold.

Mu Feng felt there was no point in the two of them just sitting here. He stood up. “You should go get busy.”

“Let’s leave together.” Liang Yuhang didn’t feel comfortable leaving him here alone.

Mu Feng nodded, thinking there shouldn’t be any major issues, and followed him back to the base laboratory.

“You’re finally back! Look, I accidentally killed three of my white mice.” Zhou Tiantian showed off her battle results. “I was originally training them to perform a ‘Happy Birthday’ dance for you yesterday, but now they’re gone.”

Mu Feng pictured it and laughed uncontrollably.

“Right, I heard you’re getting married.” Zhou Tiantian had a gossip-hungry expression. “The partner is my little tutor.”

Mu Feng closed his eyes. “Has it even spread to the base?”

“Mostly thanks to Jiang Yu’an and 0717.” Lu Zhuo recounted the scene. “The two of them were shouting and cursing in the lobby. It would have been hard not to hear.”

Mu Feng: “…”

There are megaphones around, and two of them at that.

Liang Yuhang gave him a meaningful look and spoke up, “Not necessarily.”

“Hmm? Is there a turning point?” Jiang Yu’an’s eyes lit up. “It probably isn’t those two old geezers finding their consciences. That means… you’re preparing to be my sister-in-law.”

Lu Zhuo: “…”

Liang Yuhang: “…”

“Huh? Incorrect intel? So he’s marrying Commander Lu?” Zhou Tiantian was so shocked she almost killed another mouse. “God, your circle is so messy.”

“No, none of that, impossible.” Mu Feng really didn’t understand why Jiang Yu’an was dedicated to matching him with all sorts of people.

First Xie Xingchen, now Lu Zhuo—all ridiculous options.

Jiang Yu’an couldn’t figure it out and frowned in thought for a long time. “Can someone give me a hint? Who else?”

Liang Yuhang stood there at one hundred and ninety centimeters, yet Jiang Yu’an somehow couldn’t see him.

Mu Feng didn’t plan to tell them now; he hadn’t made a decision yet. So he said, “None of them. I’m just planning to resist a bit more.”

Jiang Yu’an thought hard and said solemnly, “Otherwise… I’ll go talk to my parents and you marry me.”

As soon as these words came out, the entire room fell into a weird silence once again.

What a brain. Always saying things that could kill people with anger.

Jiang Yu’an felt he had come up with another brilliant idea. “Seriously, my family is also a big clan. Your father will definitely be satisfied. There’s no law saying two Omegas can’t marry, right? I’ll go beg my parents; they should agree.”

“Uh…” Mu Feng opened his mouth. “There’s no need to sacrifice yourself to that extent for me.”

“It’s no sacrifice.” Jiang Yu’an patted his shoulder with a grin. “Good brothers share joys and sorrows anyway. Just don’t stop me when I go out to find male models.”

“Don’t you dare,” Lu Zhuo said ominously. “Still want to be locked up?”

Jiang Yu’an realized he had talked too much and shrank his neck. “No, I mean… we’d have a ‘plastic’ marriage and each play our own way.”

Mu Feng only felt it was extremely surreal.

In just one day, he had four options for a fiancé.

Meaning… was this marriage absolutely mandatory?

Liang Yuhang said slowly, “He seems slightly more reliable than Lu Zhuo.”

Mu Feng suddenly glared at him. You’re here to cause trouble too!

“Right? You think so too.” Jiang Yu’an stood on the same front as him for the first time, shaking his head. ” I’m just too smart. I’m going to find my old lady right now.”

“Don’t.” Mu Feng suddenly grabbed him to stop him in time. He could practically see Lu Zhuo’s eyes “killing” him eight hundred times from behind.

He persuaded, “No, really no need. Please, Xiao Jiang, we’re two Omegas; you’ll be laughed to death.”

“Who dares laugh at me?” Jiang Yu’an said these words with the aura of Young Master Jiang. “I’ll slaughter them. Don’t worry, I’ll protect you.”

Liang Yuhang’s words flashed through Mu Feng’s mind again.

[“Do you want to get engaged to me, Mu Feng?”]

The best option was already right in front of him, yet he was slow to make a decision.

“Mom… I…” Jiang Yu’an had already quickly dialed the phone. “I plan to marry Mu—Mmf—”

Mu Feng reached out to cover his mouth. “I already have a choice! Hang up! Quick, hang up!”

“Huh? Who?” Jiang Yu’an said to the other end of the phone, “Nothing. I’ll talk to you about my marriage later. Hanging up now.”

Lu Zhuo had already walked outside the lab to smoke; out of sight, out of mind.

“Your brother is angry. Aren’t you going to go comfort him?” Mu Feng poked him and reminded him, “Don’t be so loose-tongued.”

“Why is he angry?” Jiang Yu’an was bewildered. “I didn’t even force him to marry. He’s still angry?”

Mu Feng hinted, “Maybe it’s because you’re planning to get married and didn’t even ask for his opinion. He spoiled you for nothing.”

Jiang Yu’an had a sudden realization and turned to walk out. “True. It’s my fault. I’ll go comfort him.”

Liang Yuhang spoke with a half-smile, “I think you shouldn’t be doing research; you should be a kindergarten teacher. You have a set of tricks for everything.”

Mu Feng gave an awkward smile, his scalp tingling.

Zhou Tiantian pinched a mouse and asked a soul-searching question: “So, can you say? Who exactly are you getting married to?”

Mu Feng raised his eyes and took a quick glance at Liang Yuhang standing there, but didn’t say a word.

So annoying. Just let me die. What’s the point of marrying?

Yet Liang Yuhang, as if interrogating him, slowly repeated, “Can you say? So, who exactly are you getting married to?”
