Chapter 56: Sleeping Together?
Mu Feng looked back speechlessly. “Use your brain. Is it possible for me to be pregnant?”
“It’s possible! You’re an O, he’s an A. How is it not possible?” Jiang Yu’an said suspiciously, “And you did stay out for a few nights, didn’t you? Behind my back… you aren’t being good.”
Mu Feng: “…”
How could two Alphas have a child? Oh, they don’t know.
Mu Feng felt a bit tired. “There really isn’t. Do you want me to go get an ultrasound with you after the engagement ends?”
Having said this much, Jiang Yu’an’s grave expression finally eased slightly. “Scared me to death. If you and Liang Yuhang had a child, with these genes, it would be born an interstellar demon pill.” (TL Note: Slang for a chaotic/powerful child).
Liang Yuhang said with a half-smile, “Quite good. I can teach it.”
Jiang Yu’an practically punched a piece of cotton. He muttered, “It’s fine, it’s fine. You two are fake; you definitely won’t reach that step.”
“It really is impossible.” Mu Feng smiled, raised his hand to hook Liang Yuhang’s arm, and walked toward the outside.
Liang Yuhang looked down and glanced at him.
“What are you looking at me for? It is impossible. I can’t even…” Mu Feng stopped, making an emergency turn. “The two of us can’t even do that, so how could we have a child?”
Liang Yuhang hummed. “True.”
Mu Feng thought to himself: Liang Yuhang, someone who didn’t even plan on getting married, shouldn’t have an obsession with things like children.
And I can’t even have one.
He felt lucky that he had disguised himself as an Omega, otherwise this fake engagement would likely have been hard to carry out so smoothly.
“What are you thinking wild thoughts about?” Liang Yuhang turned his head to look at him, seeing his conflicted face.
Mu Feng looked up. “Nothing. Not thinking anything.”
“If you regret it, it’s still not too late.” Liang Yuhang said. “After all, there’s someone you like; he might find out.”
Mu Feng tightened his fingers, pulling the man’s arm even tighter. “I don’t regret it, Teacher Liang.”
The spotlight hit the two of them. The sky full of white roses made one so happy it was dizzying. Mu Feng felt he was in a beautiful dream and didn’t want to wake up.
The language of white roses: pure and holy love.
And another layer: I am sufficient to match you.
It was chosen by Liang Yuhang. Even if it was an act, it very gently calmed his loss and self-deprecation.
“The engagement ceremony of Mr. Liang Yuhang and Mr. Mu Feng begins now.”
Mu Feng looked at the audience below—at Mu Shan and Mu Shui who used to look down on him, and at Mu Mingde who had changed from disdain to now looking at him with respect. His respect was brought by Liang Yuhang.
He felt grateful, yet also tragic.
Then he felt his finger being very lightly squeezed. Liang Yuhang held his hand. “Mu Feng, don’t think wild thoughts.”
Mu Feng looked at him, his eyes a bit damp. Just then, the emcee mentioned the kiss. He slowly leaned over and tilted his head up.
Proactively, he lightly kissed the corner of the other man’s mouth, kissing the unattainable moon.
Just as he was about to pull back, Liang Yuhang reached out and encircled his waist, leaning down to return the kiss.
Below the stage, the flashes were constant. Jiang Yu’an leaned over to whisper into Lu Zhuo’s ear: “How come they look so practiced at kissing?”
“They probably already kissed.” Lu Zhuo said nonchalantly. “Stop worrying about other people’s family matters. Maybe the involved parties are enjoying it.”
Jiang Yu’an held the camera, not missing a single frame while his brow furrowed tightly. “Sure enough, they secretly practiced! At first glance, they’ve practiced more than once!”
“Hilarious. You, a single dog, want to worry about married people.” Zhou Tiantian had been coveting the delicacies on the dining table for a long time. “When is dinner starting? It looks so delicious.”
“Make way! I need to capture the best angle.” 0717 was practically wandering the whole venue. “Waaaah, they’re such a match, so handsome! Worthy of being my boss and boss’s wife. They’ve really given Great 0717 a lot of face.”
“Now I’m even annoyed just looking at this stupid penguin.” Jiang Yu’an “hated the house and the crow.” (TL Note: Idiom for hating everything associated with someone you hate). “Does Liang Yuhang know how to care for people? If Mu-bao falls for him, it’ll be all over! I’m really worried sick!”
Lu Zhuo laughed and ruffled his hair. “You’re so cute.”
After the ceremony and interviews ended, Mu Feng was taken by Liang Yuhang to meet many people—military high-levels, relatives and friends, university classmates. He was bit by bit invading Liang Yuhang’s world.
“Aren’t you a misanthrope? Don’t you find it annoying?” Mu Feng whispered to him.
“Annoying. I want nothing more than to turn around and leave.” Liang Yuhang had now regained the coldness of their first meeting. “I can endure at most another thirty minutes.”
“Do you want some wine to relax?” Mu Feng reached out to pull him. “Let’s go to Xiao Jiang’s table.”
“Oh! The newcomers have come to toast!” Jiang Yu’an had already drunk quite a bit, his cheeks rosy. He leaned over. “How does it feel to have one foot in the grave of marriage?”
Mu Feng reached out to rub his face, warning, “Give me some face. Don’t bicker with Teacher Liang today.”
“The elbow is already starting to turn outward.” (TL Note: Idiom for siding with someone else over one’s own people). Jiang Yu’an hooked his shoulder, crying pitifully, “Tell me if you’re mistreated. Waaaah, my Mu-bao is so pitiful, having to marry an ‘old man’ of twenty-four at the age of nineteen.”
Lu Zhuo and Liang Yuhang were both speechless.
Twenty-four was the prime of life. As a Colonel, he would be called a “young and promising” person anywhere, yet he had become an “old man.”
“Is he drunk?” Mu Feng said while drinking the wine the other handed over, while steadying the wobbling Jiang Yu’an.
“He’s already cried several rounds. You haven’t even registered the marriage yet; I don’t know why he’s crying at a grave.” Zhou Tiantian’s mouth hadn’t stopped. “Can I pack this up if I can’t finish it? It’s too delicious; I’m stuffing my face.”
Mu Feng was amused. “If you like it, I’ll bring you some next time.”
“Tiantian-ah, from now on it’s just us two left-behind children depending on each other. Come, cheers!” Jiang Yu’an wanted to drink again.
Mu Feng was quick and grabbed it, draining it in one go. “Brother Lu, keep an eye on him. Don’t let him actually throw up from drinking.”
“I’ve got it.” Lu Zhuo’s arm was loosely draped behind Jiang Yu’an’s chair back. He tilted his chin. “Come, you two newcomers, have a drink.”
Mu Feng was made dizzy by drink after drink in this manner.
“Drinking while pregnant?” Liang Jingyi pushed his wheelchair over gloomily, his gaze landing on his flat lower abdomen.
Mu Feng looked at him with disdain. “Idiot.”
Liang Jingyi: “…”
Damn. Fooled again.
Mu Feng reached out to hug Liang Yuhang. “I don’t want to see this ugly thing. Take me back.”
Liang Jingyi almost couldn’t catch his breath. “Who is the ‘ugly thing’? I look so much like my brother!”
“Don’t… try to… associate…” Mu Feng turned his head to look at him. “Ugly monster.”
A drunk Mu Feng was simply at his peak combat power.
Not only did he finish scolding Liang Jingyi, but before leaving, he also scolded Mu Shan and Mu Shui, before being dragged away in a muddle by Liang Yuhang.
“Where are we going?” Mu Feng sat in the back seat with him, his head leaning on the man’s shoulder. “Are you going to kidnap and sell me?”
“Home.” Liang Yuhang told the driver to drive faster; he was afraid Mu Feng would throw up in the car.
“I don’t want to go home.” Mu Feng wrinkled his nose. “I hate going home.”
Liang Yuhang straightened him, but the boy leaned back over. He simply let it be. “Not the Mu family. We’re going to the ‘new home’.”
“New home…” Mu Feng pondered those two words, unable to understand, only looking at him in confusion.
Liang Yuhang explained: “The one I just bought. I even showed you the contract.”
Liang Yuhang reached out to cover the boy’s mouth, his eyes looking warily at the driver, afraid he would hear even half of it.
This kid. How can he be so loose-tongued when drunk?
He had just returned to his senses when he felt his palm grow damp. Mu Feng was licking his hand—slowly, bit by bit.
“Mu Feng.” Liang Yuhang called his name. “Behave.”
Yet the other party completely didn’t know how the word “behave” was written, rubbing against him here and there.
“We’re almost there.” The driver looked up, afraid these two would do something in the car. He stepped on the gas and drove very fast.
Stopping in the garage, he immediately got out and left.
Liang Yuhang reached out to pull the boy out. The other party immediately wrapped his limbs around him like an octopus, his speech sticky: “Want a hug.”
Liang Yuhang’s temples throbbed with pain.
Ultimately, he couldn’t be bothered to reason with a drunkard. He lifted the boy up, supporting his thighs, and carried him into the villa like a child.
“Are we there?” Mu Feng felt the lights turn on and opened his eyes. “I haven’t seen it yet. I want to see every room.”
Liang Yuhang endured it. “I really owe you.”
So he carried the boy on a large tour from the first floor to the fourth floor, looking at each room one by one, before finally placing him on the bed in the bedroom.
“You sleep in this room. I’ll sleep next door. Call me if anything happens,” Liang Yuhang said.
Mu Feng looked up at him. “Aren’t you sleeping with me?”
“No. We’re only engaged in name.” Liang Yuhang was very sober. “Sleep by yourself, otherwise it’ll count as me bullying you.”
Mu Feng reached out to grab his tie, pulling the man closer, his eyes watery. “Daddy.”
Liang Yuhang: “…Don’t call me that.”
Controlled by alcohol, Mu Feng simply said whatever came to mind: “Do you want to see me wear the collar?”
Liang Yuhang simply didn’t know what kind of madness he was going through. “No.”
“Alright.” Mu Feng felt a bit dejected. “Then do you want to play with the Lock-crystal ring?”
Liang Yuhang: “…”
He suspected he should have stuffed Mu Feng to Jiang Yu’an just now instead of bringing him back. Did he even know what he was saying?
Liang Yuhang pulled his tie out, his tone cold. “No. Go to sleep.”
Mu Feng muttered: “How come nothing works? Today’s Liang Yuhang isn’t cooperative at all.”
“Any day’s Liang Yuhang wouldn’t cooperate.” Liang Yuhang looked down. “If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll tie you up.”
“Alright!” Mu Feng reached out his hands to him, his eyes lighting up. “If I’m tied up, will you sleep with me?”
Liang Yuhang couldn’t be bothered with him and turned to leave.
Mu Feng didn’t care about propriety or shame. Thinking he was in a dream, he hurriedly followed. He followed all the way to the man’s room and threw himself onto the bed, pinning the man down fiercely.
“Mu Feng, what exactly do you want to do?” Liang Yuhang frowned at him.
There was no reasoning with a drunk person. He firmly restrained the boy. Then he carried him back to the room that was supposed to be his and threw him onto the bed.
“Don’t move recklessly again.” Liang Yuhang reached out and patted his face. “Did you hear me?”
The sense of oppression was heavy; hearing it made a current run up his spine.
Mu Feng raised his leg and stepped on the man provocatively. “What if I insist?”
Liang Yuhang’s eyes darkened. He reached out and pinched the boy’s ankle, abruptly pulling him over. He wrapped him tightly in the quilt and pulled off his tie to tie him up firmly.
Then he flipped the boy over, pressed him into the pillow, and applied two forceful slaps. “Try stepping recklessly again?”
