Transmigrating to the Primeval Forest to Have Cubs for a Natural Enemy Chapter 1.1

Chapter 1: The White, Thick, and Beautiful Among Snakes part 1

Ugh~ So strange. The sun is so bright today. I clearly drew the curtains before going to sleep, so why is it so sunny?

Yu She was a bit dazed, wanting to raise his hand to block the scorching sunlight that could roast a person alive.

“Fuck, where are my hands!”

He struggled for a long time only to find that he couldn’t raise his arms. It was as if he couldn’t feel his hands at all, which scared him into opening his eyes.

Eh~ What was going on? Was he still not awake?

In front of him seemed to be… a tree trunk. He looked up in confusion. Why was the tree canopy upside down?

After a bout of dizziness, he finally realized that he was the one upside down. He tried hard to right his head, and this time it was surprisingly easy.

Twisting his head to scan his surroundings, all that entered his vision were thick, sturdy trees. Visually estimating their diameter, the smallest one had to be at least a dozen meters. A giant sun hung in the sky, accompanied by the occasional chirping of insects.

Yu She was momentarily stunned. What kind of place was this?

“Fuck! What is this situation? I must still be dreaming.” Yu She bit down on his tongue with his teeth, the pain bringing tears to his eyes.

He tried to open his mouth to ask if anyone was there, but what came out was a “hissing” sound.

His whole body stiffened. In his memory, there was only one kind of creature that made this sound. He felt it was completely absurd that his thought was very likely the truth.

After another moment, as if making some major decision, he slowly moved what should have been his legs in front of him. Squinting one eye, he tentatively looked over, and sure enough, he saw a snake tail.

He felt he must be trapped in a nightmare. He frantically bashed his head against the tree trunk and forcefully smacked himself… but it was all useless.

He lay blankly on the tree. After tossing and turning for a long time, he finally had to admit that he, who had been sleeping on a Simmons mattress just a second ago, had now turned into a snake in a primeval forest!

And a small, ugly snake at that!!

It was all because of his name. Why did he have to be called “She”? Now look, he really turned into a snake.

Yu She instantly felt that his life had lost all its light. It would be better to jump off the tree and fall to his death. Thinking this, he tried to slither to the edge of the tree, wobbled his body, but he didn’t move an inch.

Damn it, how does a snake even walk!

He couldn’t even die when he wanted to. Was he just supposed to stay on the tree and wait to starve to death? Or be eaten by a passing wild beast? He tried to deduce his process of dying, and either way seemed quite painful. He decided it was still better to choose falling to his death; at least it would be quick.

Alright, with falling to his death as the ultimate goal, and successfully slithering as the primary task, he would strive hard for the happiness of his next life!

He struggled to wag his tail, painstakingly gliding along the branch. A sudden chill ran down his spine; a snake’s instinct made him sense danger. He slowly turned his head and found a wild beast that looked like an eagle or a falcon perched on a tree very close to him.

Fuck, snakes were all nearsighted; he couldn’t see clearly. He only felt the beast staring sharply at him. The fear of eagles carved into the bones and blood of snakes made his whole body stiffen, not daring to move recklessly.

His snake intuition told him that if he showed even the slightest sign of wanting to run right now, the eagle would swoop over and tear him apart with its sharp claws.

Then should he not run?

Yu She thought in confusion, if he didn’t run, wouldn’t he die anyway? What the hell was inside this snake’s brain?

But he didn’t dare to move either. The primeval forest was unusually quiet at this moment; even the insects had stopped chirping. It was so quiet that Yu She felt a sense of suffocation. After a stalemate for a while, the eagle clearly didn’t want to wait anymore. It scratched the branch impatiently with its claws, spread its wings, and dove straight toward him.

“It’s over, I’m done for,” Yu She thought to himself.

Feeling the biting wind brought by the eagle tearing through the air, he analyzed: if he ran, he’d die immediately; if he didn’t run, he could delay his death for a bit. Sure enough, the inherited instincts summarized by so many snakes were—fucking useless! It just let him live for a few more minutes!

Forget it, he thought. He’d end up dead anyway, and he wouldn’t even have to practice how to slither. Hopefully, this eagle would be quick about it, preferably a one-strike kill. Dying and reincarnating was better than being a snake in a primeval forest.

Subsequently, he fainted rather peacefully.

He didn’t know how long had passed, but Yu She gradually regained consciousness. He felt he should be dead already, because his brain didn’t seem to be able to control his body; most likely, his consciousness had separated from it.

He struggled to open his eyes, wanting to see what the world after death looked like.

So this was hell. All he saw were eerie white bones and clumps of bright red meat, with a putrid stench permeating the air. He blinked his eyes, but the world was still a blur. Could a soul be nearsighted too?!

After a while, his IQ gradually returned, and he furiously cursed in his heart: Dead my ass! He was still that ugly little snake, and this wasn’t some hell. This was clearly the eagle’s cave.

Yu She sighed in his heart. He didn’t know if still being alive was a good thing or a bad thing. He had no strength to find an exit, and even if he went out, who knew what other wild beasts were out there? Anything would be enough to take his life. He might as well lie flat; he didn’t want to struggle anymore.

Carefully recalling that eagle, its spread wings were more than ten meters long, and its black feathers gleamed in the sunlight. It was quite domineering. No matter what, it was an overlord of the sky, his natural enemy… Uh… What virtues or abilities did he possess to be worthy of being someone’s natural enemy?

He zoned out for a while until the sound of flapping wings came. The eagle had returned. Accompanied by the sound of a heavy object landing, a piece of raw meat was thrown down in front of him. That meat even had its “intestines and guts still attached.”

Yu She looked at the quite large lump in front of him, somewhat stunned. What was this about? Was it meant for him to eat?

Was it feeding him…? Instead of eating him, it was feeding him. Was this eagle trying to make a snake its friend?

But the eagle didn’t answer his doubts. After dropping the meat, it leaned over to eat the prey it had caught.

The prey looked like a creature similar to a wild boar, but much larger than a wild boar. Looking at the size of that wild boar, and then thinking of his own small snake body, could it be that he wasn’t enough to fill the gaps in the eagle’s teeth, so it planned to fatten him up before killing him?

Yu She watched the eagle’s sharp claws effortlessly tear open the animal’s fur, its sharp beak tearing off a large chunk of raw meat. He couldn’t help but shudder, as if he saw his own ending.

However, it had probably been a long time since he last ate. He was starving right now, but the appearance of this raw meat made his stomach churn. He really couldn’t bring himself to bite into it.

He held back for a while, but he was truly too hungry. Starving to death alive would be too pitiful. His resolve wavered a bit. Looking at that purely “organic” lump of meat, he closed his non-existent eyelids, forced himself to eat a few bites, and stopped as soon as he barely filled his stomach.

Once his stomach had food, he felt somewhat sleepy. It was bad enough that this snake was small and ugly, but did it also have thick blood? Well, a painless death in a dream was better than suffering in reality. Thinking this, he fell asleep with peace of mind.

After finishing its meal, the eagle glanced at the strange snake it had brought back. When it first saw this snake, it was slithering crookedly on the tree, small and ugly. But despite clearly being a beast body, it emitted the scent of a female. Anyway, this snake was too small and wouldn’t fill its stomach if eaten, so it brought it back to observe first.

This snake looked very weak. It touched the snake’s curled-up body with its claw. No response. Could it be dead? After tossing the snake around a bit and confirming it was still alive, the eagle carefully curled the snake, which it had stretched into a straight line, back up again.

Then, satisfied, it lay down beside it and rested.
