Chapter 130: Truth Unveiled
“Wh… what do you mean…”
The System had never spoken to her in such a tone before. Ji Ke panicked instantly.
[It means I have been toying with you all along.]

This time, she shouted out loud. All her logic collapsed at this moment. Ji Ke’s voice shook:

The System’s calm stood in stark contrast to Ji Ke’s madness:

Ji Ke shrieked as her body contorted. She felt her consciousness gradually freezing.
“What’s the situation!”
Sentinels in the distance rushed over, drawn by the piercing screams. They froze in place upon seeing Ji Ke’s contorted body as she clutched her head frantically.
“Where are your Commanders? Tell them… Chi Wan… she…”
As Ji Ke spoke, her eyes bulged. She collapsed straight to the ground.
“She was…”
Then, she couldn’t say another word.
In the pollution mist, a ball of light vanished silently.
“She’s stopped moving! Quick, take her back to the Alliance Medical Center!”
Three days later.
X-K Alliance.
Alliance Headquarters Building.
“Isn’t this the time for Federation regulation proposals? I have an objection.”
“Please speak, Guide Kui An.”
Kui An turned to look at Dudu and gestured for it to come over.
Seeing Kui An’s “don’t be afraid, come here” expression, Dudu tapped its two round mechanical claws together. Because of its nervousness, one claw extended a short mechanical finger while the other extended three. It was somewhat comical.
It stepped forward awkwardly and looked up at the staff member with a placating smile:

The staff member also smiled politely and nodded in response.
“It’s about the assessment rules for robots. I disagree with them.”
Kui An went straight to the point. Her speech was fluent and organized:
“This robot, serial number 0573, has been marked as ‘defective’ by the Federation.”
“But this was judged solely based on its functionality, which I believe is highly unreasonable. The Federation explicitly emphasized ’emotional richness’ in its promotion of its robot manufacturing capabilities. The staff member was stunned. They furrowed their brows and spoke truthfully:
“Guide Kui An, we don’t have that authority. I can only help you submit the suggestion, but as for whether the upper levels will adopt it, I’m not sure.”
Unexpectedly, Kui An said directly: “I want to speak with your superiors directly.”
The staff member hesitated for a moment before finally handing Kui An a headset.
Kui An put on the headset. “Hello, I am Guide Kui An from the X-K Alliance. I would like to offer a few suggestions regarding the robot assessment rules. I hope you will consider them.”
There was no response from the other side for a long time.
Only after a long while did Kui Chuan’s deep, helpless sigh ring out:
“Sister, when are you going to let go of that matter and return to the Federation…”
Kui An froze and immediately hung up the phone.
“It’s okay! Dudu doesn’t care about some assessment!”
Dudu comforted Kui An the whole way, spinning in circles and singing.
Seeing that Kui An’s mood had recovered significantly as she headed to the soothing room, it began to wander around the Alliance.
As it wandered outside the door of the most crowded medical room, Dudu saw a familiar person.
Chi Wan’s father.
Dudu dashed over.
Chi Yuzhou’s sorrow-filled face softened slightly upon seeing Dudu. He patted its mechanical head and continued listening to the medic’s report.
“We truly cannot find the cause. It’s very strange. She can breathe but cannot move. Her state is different from a vegetative person. She twitches and struggles from time to time; it’s very odd.”
“Commander Qi Ye came to read her mind, but he said she has no consciousness at all. He couldn’t read anything.”
Hearing a familiar name, Dudu turned its head and saw the familiar figure outside the door.
For some reason, everyone looked very exhausted.
Dudu knew that the adults must have encountered a difficult problem, so it didn’t disturb them. It wandered quietly around the room and soon saw Ji Ke twitching on the hospital bed.
Its large mechanical screen detected a somewhat familiar aura on her fingertips.

That medic was one who knew Dudu’s background and immediately whispered:
“This is a defective robot. Ignore it…”
Another medic frowned:

Chi Yuzhou walked up to Dudu and spoke in a soft, gentle voice:
“Dudu, what did you hear?”
Dudu said obediently: “She said, ‘Ahhh, I regret it so much…'”
Dudu didn’t hear what came after. It stepped forward a few more paces and continued to link with Ji Ke’s fingertip. A terrified expression appeared on its screen.
Outside the door, Qi Ye, Yun Qi, and the others, who were preparing to set out for battle, were also drawn over by the commotion.
Everyone heard Dudu repeat Ji Ke’s words, word for word:
“She says that Big Sister Chi Wan was harmed by someone else. Her soul was squeezed out into a mechanical virtual world by an evil System, and her body was recorded with a malicious mechanical lifeform.”

The medics were stunned like wooden chickens. Chi Yuzhou’s eyes were filled with shock, and the faces of Qi Ye and the others turned solemn.
Such bizarre news was simply unheard of.
Dudu linked with Ji Ke’s fingertip once more and then walked up to Qi Ye and the others.
It looked up at them:
“The rest of what she said… must be told to you in secret—”
Leading the handsome older brothers into a small room next door, Dudu spoke obediently:
“She also said that you were all supposed to love Big Sister Chi Wan very, very much. But because the malicious mechanical lifeform did nothing but evil, you were all bad to her. And in the future, it’s possible you would have been even worse to her because of the influence of the evil System.”
“Big Sister Chi Wan knows this.”
“This might also be one of the reasons why Big Sister Chi Wan left.”
