Are You Kidding Me! After Three Years as a Stand-in, You Say I’m the White Moonlight? Chapter 40

Chapter 40: You Insist on Doing It Here?

To the current Chen Wei, the things Zhou Sijin was offering felt more like a burden.

If Zhou Sijin had given him these things when they first got together, he wouldn’t have known how to contain his joy. But now…

Setting aside the fact that he already intended to leave Zhou Sijin once the movie was finished, he had been in the industry for three years and remained obscure. For Zhou Sijin to suddenly hand him such a massive pile of resources would do nothing for the reputation he had built over the years; it would only get him labeled as a “Resource Caster” or a “Backdoor King.”

It seemed Zhou Sijin was always like this—he only cared about his own whims when speaking or acting. He never stopped to consider how his actions would affect Chen Wei or what kind of position they would put him in. This behavior—slapping someone and then offering a sweet date—was a tactic the man was all too familiar with.

Frustrated, Chen Wei instinctively turned his head away to avoid Zhou Sijin’s intimacy.

The soft sensation on his lips vanished, and Zhou Sijin froze for a moment. Once he recovered, he immediately looked down at Chen Wei in his arms. He saw that the man’s eyes were still tightly shut, and his expression hadn’t softened one bit despite his words.

Zhou Sijin finally realized something was wrong. He reached out and forced Chen Wei’s face back so they were eye to eye. His own eyes narrowed.

“What is this supposed to mean?”

Granted, he shouldn’t have said those things to him at the hotel in a moment of agitation. But he had already offered an olive branch, and he had given him resources. He had even overlooked Chen Wei’s repeated defiance.

As a benefactor, he had already gone this far. What more could Chen Wei, a mere bed partner, possibly be dissatisfied with?

Zhou Sijin was already suppressing a fire in his heart from the day’s events. Now, stimulated by Chen Wei’s stubborn resistance to his touch, his patience finally snapped. The tenderness on his face vanished, replaced by a deep frown and a voice laced with a thin layer of ferocity.

“Are you planning to keep throwing a tantrum with me, Chen Wei?”

In his anger, his palm unconsciously tightened around Chen Wei’s chin.

Their eyes met. Chen Wei could clearly see the flickering rage in Zhou Sijin’s gaze. The pain in his jaw became increasingly sharp.

There was a stubborn streak in Chen Wei’s soul. He refused to make a sound, meeting Zhou Sijin’s furious gaze with a fearless, steady look. However, the eyes that usually looked at Zhou Sijin with such gentleness now held the coldness one would show a total stranger.

An inexplicable pang of pain shot through Zhou Sijin’s heart. Some nerve in his brain was triggered by Chen Wei’s look. He released his grip on Chen Wei’s chin, his hand moving instead to tear at the man’s covering.

The white bathrobe was incredibly loose, and the hem—which only reached the top of his thighs—couldn’t hide the alluring scene beneath. Zhou Sijin reached for the man’s body with practiced ease.

Chen Wei was instantly jolted. Ignoring the pain in his jaw, he struggled to block the man’s hands. Zhou Sijin used one hand to pin him down again while using the other to begin undoing his own restraints.

Chen Wei’s face changed dramatically, and he nearly roared the man’s name.

“Zhou Sijin!”

Zhou Sijin didn’t stop. The look he gave Chen Wei was dark and gloomy.

“You forced my hand, Chen Wei!”

That sinister, terrifying expression was exactly like the Zhou Sijin that Chen Wei had first met at the villa. The unpleasant memories of that night came flooding back like a tidal wave. Visible panic flickered across Chen Wei’s face.

This was a residential building, not a villa. When Zhou Sijin went into a frenzy, he had no sense of moderation. The sound of such a massive commotion would inevitably draw the attention of the neighbors.

Despite being so panicked that his entire body was shaking, Chen Wei still fought with all his might to break free of Zhou Sijin’s hold. Zhou Sijin was caught off guard for a moment; as he was removing his clothes, Chen Wei landed a precise kick on his thigh.

Chen Wei took the opportunity to roll over. While fumbling to tie the sash of his bathrobe, he bolted for the door.

This attempt to escape further enraged Zhou Sijin, who was already on the verge of a total breakdown.

In the living room, Chen Wei had almost reached the door when he paused to grab his overcoat. In that split second, Zhou Sijin caught up and seized him.

On the soft sofa, Chen Wei’s body was violently tossed down. Zhou Sijin followed, pressing over him. He lowered his head to nip at Chen Wei’s earlobe, breathing a wicked, soft whisper into his ear.

“You won’t stay in the empty room, yet you insist on doing it here?”

The mocking tone held a special, deeper meaning. Chen Wei turned his head, a sense of foreboding leading his gaze toward the robot.

In the next second, his entire body froze.

The camera lens, which he had previously covered with white tape, had been uncovered at some point. The blinking red light of the camera seemed to be mocking his ignorance.

Chen Wei gritted his teeth, his palms clenching tightly. Yet his body, which couldn’t stop trembling slightly, betrayed his current state.

Zhou Sijin leaned against his neck, whispering recklessly:

“Baby, your body seems to be excited.”

Zhou Sijin’s crude, mocking words drifted into his ears without any filter. Chen Wei closed his eyes in infinite shame, hating his own body for being so useless.

Even though Chen Wei had given up his struggle, Zhou Sijin didn’t intend to let him off.

“The curtains haven’t been…”

Before the sentence was finished, Chen Wei’s eyes snapped wide open. The sound of Zhou Sijin’s low chuckle echoed through the air.

Fortunately, they had turned off the living room lights before entering the bedroom. The dim living room was currently only illuminated by the sparse light of the moon and the streetlamps.

Taking a deep breath, Chen Wei tried to comfort himself. They were on the sofa in the center of the living room. Unless someone was specifically using binoculars to look over here, they wouldn’t really see anything.

However, as if reading his mind, the moment Chen Wei’s heart began to settle, it was wrenched back up by Zhou Sijin’s casual words.

“How about I carry you over there to close them?”

Without giving Chen Wei even a second to react, Zhou Sijin’s movements were swift and decisive to an appalling degree.
