Chapter 79: You Were Eating Out—Your Lips Are Swollen
“What’s wrong? Why are you pouting?”
Was he looking for a kiss?
“Are you still thinking about that room being a waste of money?”
“I’ll give you the money when you come home tomorrow. I’ll give you all the money in the house.”
He had the temperament of a child—changing moods every second—and Zhou Yuejun was happy to coax him.
Zhou Yuejun stuffed another roasted chestnut into Yu Deng’s mouth.
His fingertip brushed against Yu Deng’s lip, picking up a bit of moisture.
His already puffed-out cheeks became even rounder as he chewed, making one want to pinch him.
No matter which part of Yu Deng it was—his face, his waist, or his calves—the attraction to Zhou Yuejun was fatal.
Below the dormitory building, there were a few couples bidding each other farewell, but none of them dared to be too intimate. they only dared to stand face-to-face, whispering shyly.
The most scandalous thing they did was link their fingers together.
It was awkward yet beautiful—pure.
Just as he thought this, Yu Deng remembered that he had already slept with Zhou Yuejun.
While others were shy just touching fingers, he and Zhou Yuejun were doing all sorts of large-scale, unsightly things.
107 was right; he was being too indulgent with Zhou Yuejun, raising the man’s appetite to such an extent.
Yu Deng’s eyes sparked with two small flames of anger. He curled his hand into a fist and smashed it against Zhou Yuejun.
To Zhou Yuejun, this kind of harmless physical contact was nothing more than a kitten swatting its paws.
He was just playing with him.
Zhou Yuejun closed the bag of chestnuts. “Alright, no more. If you eat too much, you’ll get indigestion.”
“Go on in.”
Taking advantage of the fact that the light at the dorm entrance didn’t reach them, Zhou Yuejun gave Yu Deng’s waist a supportive squeeze.
His slender waist was so small; Zhou Yuejun could grasp it entirely just by opening his hand, and it was so fragile it couldn’t handle much force.
Yu Deng entered the dormitory. Zhou Yuejun thought the boy had already gone upstairs, but a head suddenly popped out of a dark window.
“Zhou Yuejun.”
The window wasn’t large and was positioned a bit high. The little head peeking out must have been standing on tiptoe with great effort just to let him see.
“You big idiot!”
It was a very ordinary gesture, but for some reason, it touched the softest part of Zhou Yuejun’s heart.
Naughty yet obedient.
Zhou Yuejun stood with one hand in his pocket, his deep eyes shining with a clear smile. “I see you. Go back quickly.”
Yu Deng returned to the dorm just as the dorm leader, Lin Jianglu, finished washing up and was walking from the other end of the corridor, carrying a basin and drying his hair.
Seeing Yu Deng, Lin Jianglu was momentarily stunned, acting stiff and flustered. “Yu Deng, you’re back?”
Lin Jianglu usually had a loud voice, but when he spoke to Yu Deng, he was always hesitant and gentle, with a bit of awkward shyness.
This was because Yu Deng’s voice was very soft and sweet, like a sticky rice cake. He was also good-looking, and his smile was more pleasing than a New Year’s painting of a lucky child.
Yu Deng nodded “mhm mhm” and followed Lin Jianglu into the dorm.
Hearing the sound, Jian Ling, who was playing with a game console, also looked up sharply.
“It’s the middle of the night—where did you go? Out to feed the mosquitoes?”
Just after asking, Jian Ling’s eyes narrowed, his attention falling on the red mark on Yu Deng’s collarbone.
Jian Ling pointed at his own neck to indicate. “That mosquito is pretty venomous!”
Yu Deng’s skin was white, like congealed fat or white jade; any slight rub or bruise was very obvious.
Yu Deng panicked, his eyes darting around randomly as he took “guilty conscience” to its absolute limit.
“I didn’t go anywhere, just out to…”
Before he could think of an excuse, Jian Ling squinted, his probing gaze noticing Yu Deng’s lips.
They were red, swollen, and looked decadent—as if they had been ruthlessly ground and rubbed.
“Yu Deng, were you eating out?”
“Your lips are all swollen!”
Yu Deng was truly panicked now. He quickly covered his mouth, his dark eyes spinning as they widened slightly.
He had been caught.
“I-I ate.” He stammered, acting like a total little idiot.
Jian Ling gave a sharp sniff and suddenly, his smile turned obscure. “Oh~ no wonder. There’s quite a fragrance.”
“Let me smell what you ate.”
As he spoke, he made a move as if to catch Yu Deng. Scared, Yu Deng twisted his waist to dodge and ran toward the balcony.
He must have eaten very well—it likely wasn’t just his lips that were swollen.
Yu Deng’s cheeks burned. He managed to muddle through the situation.
Since he had eaten something that night, Yu Deng took his mouthwash cup and toothbrush to the restroom.
Halfway through brushing, the lights went out. The moment everything plunged into darkness, Yu Deng’s heart skipped a beat.
He was afraid of the dark; without lights, he had no sense of security. He quickly took a gulp of water, gargled, and spat out the foam before rushing back to the dorm in a panic.
Someone in the dorm had turned on a flashlight. Yu Deng went to the balcony to put away his cup.
“Yu Deng, are you going to Century Plaza with Ning Qian and the others after training tomorrow?”
“I’m going too. It’s my cousin’s birthday, and they’re celebrating there. I’ll tag along with you guys and hitch a ride in Ning Qian’s car.”
The fact that Ning Qian had a car was no secret, not just in Yu Deng’s dorm but in the entire Nanda.
Just as Yu Deng was about to agree, Yang An, who had finished hanging his clothes, passed by him and paused.
Yu Deng saw his hesitation and paused as well, not knowing what he wanted.
“Yu Deng, it wasn’t easy for our families to send us to school. It’s best not to be too… vain or competitive.”
Yang An always spoke very softly. He kept the last four words especially shallow, and his gaze shifted away as he said them.
He seemed afraid of offending him, yet he wanted to offer some well-meaning advice.
Yu Deng froze, his pure and beautiful face becoming rigid.
His character was supposed to be a vain, selfish, and cunning little vampire, so it was normal for Yang An to speak to him like that.
However, Yu Deng was narrow-minded and didn’t like being criticized.
Before this, Yang An had also talked to him about hiring someone to fetch water, dropping hints and suggestions that he should be independent and not oppress or exploit his classmates.
When had he ever bullied anyone?
At most, he bullied Zhou Yuejun.
Yu Deng didn’t know if Yang An’s intentions were good or not. Even though Yang An’s tone wasn’t aggressive, as a little villain, he didn’t want to hear it.
He ignored the man and walked back into the room with a long face.
Jian Ling was sitting on his bed, glancing back and forth between Yu Deng and Yang An. Having caught the abnormality, he turned on his “gossip mode.”
“What’s up? What were you two whispering about just now?”
The boy’s brows were knit tight, his expression full of irritation.
And when Yu Deng got angry, it was usually because he had been wronged. He carried a sense of grievance that, with one look, would make people want to be biased toward him, feeling that it definitely couldn’t be his fault.
Yu Deng shook his head and said nothing. He was just dejected. Pouting, he climbed toward his bed with his head down.
He pulled aside the mosquito net and flopped inside.
