Chapter 25: The Incompetent and Malicious Ex-Boyfriend (25)
When Shen Ci woke up, he was lying in Ye Qi’s arms. One of his legs was even draped over Ye Qi’s, and his whole body was clinging to him like an octopus.
His brain had just started up and wasn’t quite clear yet. Once he realized the situation, he was so startled he scrambled off the bed.
Ye Qi was woken by his movements. His eyelashes fluttered, and then he opened his eyes. Seeing Shen Ci standing by the window staring at him in a panic, he winked at him in a very good mood, his expression innocent and looking extremely pure.
“Ah Ci, good morning.”
His voice still carried a trace of sleepiness laced with deep desire, which, falling into Shen Ci’s ears, made him feel like he was about to catch fire.
Good morning, my ass. Shen Ci was on the verge of a breakdown. He had never imagined that the phrase “drunken loss of control” would ever apply to him. Last night, he’d been served by Ye Qi until his head was spinning.
Fortunately, it was only using… but this had already exceeded his psychological limit. Ye Qi was a man! And he was a man too! Shen Ci really wanted to soul-travel back to last night and give himself two slaps to wake himself up.
Seeing his face turning red, then white, then green like a palette, Ye Qi likely guessed the thoughts in Shen Ci’s mind. The smile on the corners of his mouth faded, but when he looked up again, it was even more tender.
He stepped forward to grab Shen Ci’s hand and asked softly, “What’s wrong, Ah Ci? Are you uncomfortable?”
Shen Ci looked at the Ye Qi kneeling before him, whose upper body was completely bare. Only then did he realize that he also seemed to be bare. As if he’d been burned, he quickly yanked his hand out of Ye Qi’s grip.
He looked around the room and finally found his wrinkled pajamas on the floor at the foot of the bed. Beside them lay several messy clumps of tissues.
Shen Ci: “…”
After picking up the pajamas, he quickly tossed them onto the chair and hurriedly found a T-shirt and shorts in the closet.
“That, Ye Qi, I… I’m going to take a shower. You…” Shen Ci glanced at Ye Qi, then quickly looked away, his expression becoming even more unnatural. “Put some clothes on. If you’re tired, sleep a bit longer.”
Ye Qi’s gaze moved from Shen Ci’s flushed face to the red marks on his neck, his eyes deepening. His tone was leisurely and tinged with romantic suggestion. “Ah Ci indeed should take a shower. It was too late last night to take care of it, otherwise I would…”
Before he could finish, he was interrupted by the frantic Shen Ci. “I’m going to the shower!”
My baby is so pure. Ye Qi curled his lips. Looking at Shen Ci’s retreating back as he fled, he arched an eyebrow in a very good mood, even feeling like humming a song.
After entering the bathroom, Shen Ci quickly locked the door. Although he knew Ye Qi couldn’t come in, he was afraid! The events of last night had a huge impact on him, practically overturning his understanding. Although there was no penetration, yet…
Shen Ci felt like his head was a mess. He couldn’t help but scratch his head in frustration. What the hell is this?
After standing in place for a moment, he turned on the shower head to prepare for his wash. In the mirror, he suddenly caught a glimpse of the red marks on his neck, and he felt as if he’d been struck by lightning. He was stunned for a moment.
Once he recovered, he took two steps forward to look at the red marks on his neck in the mirror… On his fair skin, that patch of red marks was particularly prominent. After a night, they were starting to look a bit bruised.
He reached out and rubbed them, but they didn’t go away.
Shen Ci: “…”
A “dead” memory suddenly attacked him. He remembered that at the end of last night, it seemed Ye Qi had held him and gnawed on him for a while. He was dazed at the time, and it seemed… he hadn’t pushed him away at all.
Shit! Is he a dog? Gnawed like this, how was he supposed to go out and see people?
Shen Ci, feeling a bit broken, rubbed again with force. Not only did they not go away, but the surrounding skin turned even redder.
Shen Ci: “…” Fake alcohol ruins lives!!!
…
Ye Qi got dressed, stripped the bedsheets to change them, and tossed the tissues on the floor into the trash can. After cleaning up, he finally left the room.
As soon as he opened the door, he saw Ming Yanzhou sitting on the sofa in a daze. He didn’t know how long he’d been sitting there; the guy looked like a lifeless statue. As if the sound of the door opening had called back his thoughts, he looked up and met Ye Qi’s gaze.
A mocking smile curled Ye Qi’s lips. He walked forward and sat on the sofa opposite Ming Yanzhou, his gaze toward him somewhat dismissive.
“Xiao Ming woke up quite early.”
Ye Qi spoke very slowly, drawing out the end of his words, which in Ming Yanzhou’s ears sounded more like a blatant provocation. Ming Yanzhou’s hand on his knee clenched into a fist, the veins on the back of his hand bulging as he desperately suppressed the jealousy in his heart.
It wasn’t that he’d woken up early; he hadn’t slept all night. Last night, he’d heard Ye Qi open the door and enter Shen Ci’s room. He waited outside until the flowers withered, yet he didn’t see Ye Qi come out.
In the end, unable to restrain the curiosity in his heart, he’d walked to Shen Ci’s door and eavesdropped. He heard the faint creaking of the bed, and… Shen Ci’s gasps filled with desire…
These fragmented sounds were like needles, piercing densely into his eardrums. He could even imagine the scene in the room—how the two were intimate and inseparable on the bed. Jealousy was like rapidly growing vines, spreading from his heart to his entire body, tightening so much he could hardly breathe.
But there was nothing he could do. He could only be like a wretched voyeur, pressed against the cold door, listening as the sounds in the room gradually faded into silence.
Seeing that Ming Yanzhou’s complexion was bad and there was some darkness under his eyes, the mockery in Ye Qi’s eyes intensified.
“What? Didn’t rest well last night?” After speaking, he let out a soft laugh. “I slept quite well last night holding Ah Ci.”
Ming Yanzhou looked up sharply, the bloodshot streaks in his eyes clearly visible, as if the emotions he’d endured all night finally had a crack. He stared deathly at Ye Qi, his gaze churning with jealousy, anger, and unwillingness…
He was simply later than Ye Qi in getting to know Shen Ci, that was all.
“Ye Qi, I said yesterday, I just want to stay by Brother Shen’s side.” His voice was very low, as if squeezed out from between his teeth.
Ye Qi let out a cold sneer. “It’s enough for Ah Ci to have me. If you’re sensible, you’ll move out on your own. Otherwise, I don’t mind telling Ah Ci exactly how you used a pity act to trick him into taking you in.”
After speaking, Ye Qi looked at Ming Yanzhou expressionlessly. “This is the final dignity I’m giving you. I don’t want to make things too unsightly.”
Ming Yanzhou suddenly let out a cold snort, his expression returning to his usual calm. He looked up at Ye Qi, his tone so flat no emotion could be heard.
“Ye Qi, what evidence do you have to prove I lied to Brother Shen? Don’t talk nonsense without evidence.”
Ye Qi let out a soft laugh and spoke measuredly. “Last night, I recorded what you said afterward.”
Ming Yanzhou: “…?”
Holy shit. That’s incredibly underhanded.
Seeing Ming Yanzhou’s ugly expression, Ye Qi continued with a smile, “Xiao Ming, you have two choices now. First, leave on your own. Second, Ah Ci kicks you out.”
Ming Yanzhou: “…”
